Overall, my experience has been very positive. The platform is useful, the training for new platforms has been effective. The support has been good when requested.

Pros

The simplicity of the system for payroll, employee messages and employee navigation. The platform works with all levels of tech use. At least in our experience.

Cons

Alternate pay rates. There is not a good solution for this need. They do have a platform but was not effective for what we were trying to accomplish.

Positive experience and was a great fit for us for many years. I would recommend to others as could be a good fit for them as well!

Pros

Isolved was a great solution for us for many years! It was cost effective for our company, fairly easy to use/implement, and had good reporting capabilities.

Cons

There are some areas that are 'over-worked,' especially in setup. The ultimate reason why I changed vendors this years is I-solved is unable to integrate into Quickbooks Desktop for payroll/timekeeping.

### "Happiness in a Payroll Program"

In going from an older platform to iSolved I really see how much I was struggling to get done. From finding reports to processing payroll, everything is so simple. And the ability to search for the section I am needing or review the section in the University has been incredible!

Pros

The easy access to just about any piece of information I am looking for. From the client tax status, to their TOA policy, to locating individual Employee information. Everything is located right where you would expect it to be and not hiding in some random section.

Cons

For me, it would be nice to be able to put a note on the individual employee on the payroll processing screen. For example, if a different rep needs to step in due to an absence or what have you, and you needed to make a withholding correction or some other change, it would be nice to have a flag for the processing rep to see and note the change so it is not missed.

An incredibly versatile and robust software platform that conforms to the needs of its users, and the support and education they provide is stellar.

Pros

isolved is remarkably robust and versatile, and it is able to be tailored to the unique needs of each of our diverse clients.

Cons

There is a bit of a steep learning curve, that is aided by the large amount of resources on isolved University, though some articles are a bit outdated.

Pros

Our clients love the platform and its many abilities. They are able to handle all of their payroll matters in one.

Cons

There are too many updates with screens changing that can affect our clients some time when they are used to the screens.

We used Timeforce for years and it was perfect for timekeeping and tracking records. We did not have a good experience with isovled in our transition to their new software system.

Pros

We used their legacy timekeeping software called Timeforce. It was perfect for our company and our time keeping needs on our construction sites.

Cons

We tried to move to their newer time keeping software platform and it was not able to meet our needs. We had to switch timekeeping software completely.

Great payroll program to be able to see what you need or find your documentation. It's easy to use abd figure out.

Pros

Still the same feelings towards it. Easy to use and find your payroll information as you need. Highly recommend!

Cons

That it keeps bugging for extra security to be set up to log in to your account. Wish you could say no permanently.

Since our organization on has client-level access, I don't feel I can fairly speak to the full range of functions isolved provides. However, I do not have a favorable impression based on our experiences.

Pros

Our third-party payroll company uses isolved and we have access to an isolved dashboard for clients, which has limited functionality. We are restricted to at-a-glance demographics and reporting. The reporting seems fairly robust.

Cons

In our experience, isolved is not particularly user friendly. The dashboard design is not very intuitive. I often have to click in unexpected places to navigate to different site areas to perform the functions I want. Moreover, employees have reported high levels frustration in locating basic payroll information. There are multiple portals and it is not always clear which end-users need to use.

I don't like that I cannot access iSolved online. The actual website always has issues and it's super frustrating.

lots of hidden Fees, No customer service, lots of mistakes in withdraws that you have to find and try to get back (good Luck talking to someone ) After trying to resolve the issue and not being able to talk to anyone . I left . then an extra $600 dollars was taken from our account as a leaving fee !

Pros

There system is an on line system not different from other vendors, nothing special

Cons

They make mistakes in the fund they withdraw (never in your favor) you have to catch it to get the funds back. There is NO customer service, Nobody to talk to. Q help. Lost of hidden fees

There is nothing I dislike about isolved. Our company just switched over, and I have heard nothing but good feedback from colleagues.

I strongly recommend anyone run far far away from iSovled! If it were in my power to change I would.

Pros

We did have one issue recently that, while it remains unresolved over one week in, iSolved actually initiated contact to follow up (a first!). So that is positive.

Cons

The service is absolutely horrible! It has been consistently terrible for the entire 3 years I've been with the company. Despite reaching out to upper management for help on more than a few occasions, we have seen no drastic improvement. Some issues have been significant, involving employee's pay or state taxes, which are unacceptable. We routinely have to chase down answers or resolutions rather than the support team proactively working to resolve issues, even those that have been directly caused by them.

I find that the expense module lacks reporting which would make the module a lot more helpful for clients.

Overall I would highly recommend iSolved for payroll. I know they offer HR services and 401k services as well.

Pros

I love iSolved because it is easy to use and easy to teach my clients to use, even if they aren't the most tech-confident people.

Cons

Sometimes making edits on the time cards can be a little finnicky but I can usually find a work-around.

quick punch and mobile use is nice when you are punching in remotely for work and not having to use time cards, also having paystubs and documents at the employees readiness

a lot of technical glitches with the app. constantly boots you out, doesn't let you log in or says you punched and ends up double punching

### "Find a better Payroll Company for your small Business"

Pros

We were automatically transferred to isolved by a local payroll company that was purchased by isolved, so we didn't have an option.

Cons

Be very careful! Our transfer paperwork had a "terms and conditions" link that has a 1-year auto-renew buried in it, so we missed our termination by 60 days and have to pay 10 months of services. Admin and employee interface is outdated, difficult to use and frustrating. The service is inconsistent with constant errors. Issuing the wrong payroll and having to back money out of employee's bank accounts was the most frustrating. Missing tax filings, missing tax payments, the list of errors goes on and on. We sent termination notice on 11/20/24 and didn't receive termination paperwork until 12/24 when we were already closed for the holiday.

### "Isolved’s One And Only Unhappy Customer "

It’s stressful to use isolved. I feel regretted switching from Paycor. From the start to the very end, there isn’t a single thing about isolved that I feel good about. Initially I thought it was a big savings for me on payroll—NOT MORE HIDDEN FEES! Communication.. the worst. They think because there were more happy customers, when I said I have problems with my payrolls they don’t think it’s their problems. I’m leaving for good.

Pros

I liked the fact that I got to meet a sale representative face to face.

Cons

I liked the fact that I was always getting charged extra service fees each and every time I look at the payrolls. And I also liked the fact that my sale representative role ended the moment I locked in contract with isolved that there is nothing he knows and there is nothing he can do to help me go further.

Cons

The new look option has many options missing that you need to switch to the classic view for. The security code almost every time you log in is also just a small annoyance.

Good for employers whose employees have beginner to intermediate computer skills. Just give them log in information and the rest is self explanatory.

Pros

Ease of navigation. Log in is secure yet uncomplicated. You are able to see all of your pay information in one place.

Cons

Inability to view multiple pay stubs at once. You must enter a time frame that you want to look at and the list only goes back 6-8 weeks if I remember correctly.
