### "Great for Apple Device Management"

December 11, 2023

5.0

Deployment and setup was very quick and easy. We only use for iPads and Apple TV's and I am easily able to manage there without any major issues.

Pros

Exceptional ease of use. I think the interface is very user friendly. Device enrollment, app deployment and updates is very simple. If I encounter an issue, the customer service is also very exceptional.

Cons

Really the only two dislikes I have is the apps not updating with me forcing the update and the price. We are not a large company with under 300 iPads/Apple TV's deployed, but the price is a bit much. The cost/benefit ration is not there.

Reason for choosing Jamf Pro

The ease of setup and use was what we needed at the time of deployment. We needed something rather quickly and jamf fit the bill. Grant the cost was a bit more, but we do like the options we have.

### "Apple hardware management made easy"

January 8, 2026

5.0

Jamf Made Ipad/macbook management simple for deployment to classes and installing volume licenses. It also made tracking devices easy. we could locate ones still in the building or find ones that were stolen

Pros

I could make an install package based on what has changed. this means I could install apps, change settings, add or remove files and make a deplorable package file easy

Cons

We only used it for apple products. We had to use other product for windows and chromebooks. This isn't really a problem with Jamf, it just that we had to use several MDM suites

### "Pretty good but takes time to get used to"

April 18, 2026

5.0

I would say overall quality is good but not amazing. It does what it should most of the time, but sometimes things feel slower or more complicated than needed.

Pros

really strong when it comes to managing apple devices, thats probably the best part. once you get used to it you can automate a lot and save time. also pretty flexible, you can customize a lot of things how you need it. overall it works reliable most of the time

Cons

the interface is kinda confusing sometimes and not very intuitive. also pretty expensive for what it is. support can be slow at times which is a bit annoying. some features feel more complicated than they should be and take time to figure out

### "MSP Managers Honest Review"

January 12, 2026

3.0

Coming from Meraki MDM Jamf was a totally different experience. Its hard to use, complicated to understand and requires a lot of background in development to understand.

Pros

I like how easy it is to onboard a new computer through JAMF. We use HTML onboarding and with the click of a button a clients computer/tablet/phone is onboarded.

Cons

I dislike the interface, navigating the interface, and honestly finding anything. It makes it almost impossible to be an admin of the platform without a certification or some background in dev work.

Waste of time and money, get Iru/Kandji instead if you want to have a clean and easy setup without tons of scripts and unnecessary workarounds. Their migration tool is great.

Pros

I didn't really like it because standard functions that every company needs where a total pain to setup and the documentation is behind a paywall aka courses.

Cons

Standard functions like auto-updates, self-service, auto-download apps when an employee opens the laptop for the first time, the dock configuration needing an extra script, ALL needed a bunch of scripts, workarounds and it's just a waste of time. Customer support needs ages to answer and if they do they refer you to some random article.

### "Good MDM Option"

January 9, 2026

5.0

Overall it has been positive. It is a good service for us, and it has worked well. I was thrown into a project with having to use and having zero knowledge of it. I was able to quickly pick it up and become successful with it.

Pros

is easy to use and easy to implement. Their Customer Support is great. They have great Device Management, and seem to be a good value for money.

Cons

A bit of a learning curve at first. But after you get the basics down, it is easy to get familiar with all the other parts of it.

### "Jamf makes Apple device management easy"

December 13, 2024

5.0

Jamf is superb value for money and probably the best MDM solution we have tried over the years.

Pros

Jamf has enabled us to manage out fleet of staff and student Macs with ease, offering super support for day-1 features every year, and smoothing out all sorts of device restriction/interaction scenarios, along with app deployment

Cons

The interface was a little clunky at the start, and we had some teething issues with device connectivity, but these issues have all gone away in recent times.

### "Excellent Apple-centric MDM"

February 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, is a great tool to manage Apple devices. There are a few zones where it could be improved and the team are hopefully working on them. Their support team is, however, always fast to answer and they provide great help.

Pros

is a powerful tool when it comes to manage Apple devices, whether they are laptops of mobile phones/tablets. It offers all sorts of controls and streamlines deployment of Configuration Profiles or Policies. Their API, though a bit cumbersome as it's divided in two versions (Legacy and Pro) allows for automations of almost all aspects of the platform.

Cons

Some part of the interface are a bit dated and lacks flexibility. Feature requests around these issues are not always acknowledged despite them being sometimes opened for years.

Pros

We use Jamf at our company to help manage all of our Apple devices, specifically Macbooks. It helps our IT team streamline the laptop software and setting updates across all laptops.

Cons

### "Powerful Apple Device Management with a Learning Curve"

April 30, 2026

5.0

verall, my experience with has been very positive, especially for managing Apple devices at scale. It stands out as one of the most reliable tools for handling macOS and iOS environments, making tasks like deployment, updates, and security much more efficient. Many users say it saves significant time and simplifies IT workflows once fully set up.

Pros

Its seamless Apple device management—especially zero-touch deployment and automation—makes managing Macs and iOS devices fast and efficient.

Cons

The biggest downside is the complexity and learning curve—it can be overwhelming at first and takes time to fully understand.

### "Highly recommend!"

June 16, 2025

5.0

Pros

The UI is very intuitive and clean. It is organized in a way that makes sense for any user and makes management of all the employees and their devices very simple. It has made the onboarding process so much easier as well as a better more clear control of security on hardware.

Cons

There is nothing that I can think of. It has all and more for possible integrations with all the applications we use.

### "Jamf Pro in a 10k+ company"

June 13, 2023

5.0

Pros

Easy to use and understand cloud management of corporate devices. Highly customisable to your own liking making zero touch deployment on all our devices possible. Distributing, updating and maintaining software packages (albeit with the help of 3rd party solutions) is easy and helps to keep your devices up-to-date and safe.

Cons

Patch management should be made easier. The app catalog area seems to be more of a beta instead of a polished product.

### "Best Apple device management platform in existance"

August 12, 2020

5.0

While no company is perfect, JAMF has really gone out of their way to take care of us as both customers and admins. I'm in education so they're not making any money off is (given the high level of support everyone receives). There are no tiers of service, no packages for support, and no BS. You will be treated and supported very well. JAMFs training options are also the best I've ever attended. I have yet to try the virtual trainings though.

Pros

Day 1 support of all Apple releases, full roadmap compatibility with Apple, and dedication to the integration of Apple products at the enterprise level. It has allowed me the flexibility and capacity to provide a truly world class user experience without the world class investment and effort.

Cons

It certainly could have better remote support features. It HAS remote support, but really only on the local network. Mind you, I don't really need additional remote support capacity, but it would be nice.

Reason for choosing Jamf Pro

Radmind was a tripwire system. We stopped support labs that needed to be wiped and instead empowered our users on their own devices. As for FileWave... while they offered a lot of "bullet points" the delivery was slow and tedius. Also, absolutely no 0 day support for Apple, at least back then.

### "Jamf Pro & A Catholic Elementary School"

August 26, 2020

5.0

Prior to beginning use of Jamf, I managed our student iPads via Apple Configurator. The process was painstaking, frustrating, time consuming and often, unsuccessful requiring many calls to Apple Help. Students and teachers were inconvenienced and lost valuable educational time waiting for devices to update. Jamf has streamlined our ability to dynamically update devices without needing to take them from students. During recent distance learning, I was able to reliably push out new apps to students from my home. Despite having only a modest understanding of technology, I am able to complete most Jamf management activities without Help desk assistance.

Pros

enables us to setup student devices to conform to our educational needs and to help assure students have a safe, reliable, relatable experience using iPad technology. Once your initial setup is complete, making changes is relatively easy, even for someone with a very modest technical background. When JAMF help is needed, it is readily available and reliably correct.

Cons

My biggest "complaint" is that when setting up classes it is necessary to individually add or delete students from each class. It takes a lot of time each summer to update all the classes.

Reason for choosing Jamf Pro

We looked at several other products in a casual way but were fairly sold on JAMF based on the experience of other schools in the area and the recommendation of our Apple rep.

### "JAMF PRO - You cannot manage mac's effectively any other way."

August 26, 2020

5.0

Through we are utilizing zero touch deployment, cross domain authentication to our fleet through Nomad Login (JAMF Connect), deployment of applications to our iOS devices utilizing Apple VPP and its integration with the JAMF Pro platform. We are able to easily manage the deployment of patches using Patch Management and more. There is no better way to manage a mac outside of JAMF.

Pros

As a user of since the days when it was called Casper, I can safely say that this product is a constant evolution of itself and as it pertains to Apple hardware, software, admin and user needs. Considering the product is on a zero day release schedule always means we are ready to manage devices and workstations upon the latest release of an OS build. It has allowed use to customize our deployment packages, settings and enrollment styles. Having the ability for zero touch enrollment and deployment of systems is without a doubt the most influential feature of our JAMF Pro installation. Getting machines up and ready is a breeze with JAMF Pro, long term management is even easier.

Cons

JAMF rarely has anything we dislike. Over the years their menus have evolved for the better. The user interface has improved drastically. i would say as they grow, to continue to keep the product suite obtainable by educational users. Products which havent recently released such as Jamf Protect are a bit cost prohibitive, it would be nice if they were bundled into the suite.

Reason for choosing Jamf Pro

They seemed like band aids, JAMF was the real deal.

### "We can see you."

December 28, 2023

4.0

So far, its all smiles and the team is learning m,ore about this tool daily.

Pros

Deployment of finally gave us visibility of IT assets that had previously been categorized as ghost IT. We were given the ability to see, fix, and control devices that were not available to us and now we are working towards achieving compliance standards for security and patch management.

Cons

This is not Jamf specific, but we did not have as much input on implementation and customization as we would have liked. Sales guided us towards an out of the box deployment.

### "Jamf Pro in Education"

June 8, 2023

5.0

Pros

makes managing 10,000+ iPads and 1,000+ MacBooks as easy as could be. From being able to control mass devices and send remote commands, to scoping out important apps to select devices, JAMF has something for everyone. Jamf also has an expansive online community, JamfNation, that helps a great deal when looking for an answer.

Cons

There isn't much bad to say about . There is a bit of a learning curve and their training classes can be quite expensive, but once you have the knowledge it is quite easy to use.

### "Easy iPad Management"

May 22, 2020

4.0

Easy to setup - Easy to use - Intuitive and Extremely Agile

Pros

Jampf Pro makes it easy for our school to deploy, track, and manage a sustainable fleet of Apple products. Its Self-Service app management catalog makes it easy to install and push out apps based on users and control iOS updates remotely without having to collect and manually update managed devices. Control of the products remains within the IT department and enables high-level security settings to ensure safe usage of the device.

Cons

I love the software and wish that it was a more universal device management system that went beyond just Apple products. It is a pain point within or organization to have utilize multiple device management systems due to different hardware.

### "Great experiences with Jamf over the past few years but there are quality issues creeping in"

October 24, 2017

4.0

Pros

The best in class MDM management that allows us to get really creative with how we serve our user base. The API is flexible and allows our developers to use Jamf in collaboration with a number of other tools.

Cons

Quality control around recent releases, where the push to meet new Apple functionality seems to come at the expense of function of existing features. A more robust test and release process is needed. Feature requests can languish for a long time with seemingly no traction. The Self Service app until the Jamf 10 preview wasn't a great user experience. Configuration profiles are clunky when they offer multiple options and can disable features accidentally.

### "Good Product, Good Experience"

September 19, 2017

4.0

The ability to manage a fleet of MacOS and iOS devices.

Pros

works really well for managing a fleet of MacOS and iOS devices. The management console is easy to navigate and the feature set is clear. The ability to segregate administrators by using Sites is a nice feature for us. Integration with Apple's services is quite good and easy to maintain. We split our infrastructure across multiple hosts (database on one machine, a management point is on one host, the managed devices on another) is key for us. Also nice that the infrastructure runs on multiple OSes, we run ours on RHEL.

Cons

The issue was related to communication and to bug checking during an update. One update broke access to Active Directory based security groups. This broke many of our workflows for distributed administrators. Customer support was good for initial triage, but follow-up communication was poor. The issue was fixed in two later updates but we were not told that the issue was fixed. We thought it had been fixed but we had to call Jamf and explicitly ask for confirmation. Would have been nice if Jamf had proactively followed up on a support case to let us know the problem was resolved.

### "Great Mac management software"

December 13, 2018

5.0

Overall the experience has been extremely positive and I would definitely recommend Jamf, they are the best in the business. My only negative would be that they sometimes seem more interested in implementing new features than addressing known issues.

Pros

is a very powerful tool with a rich feature set. There is a learning curve but the training available is excellent, providing you are in a region it is available. We manage a global fleet of Macs and use a hosted cloud instance which allows us to install software, perform updates and just generally manage our Macs no matter where our users are. The Self Service app gives our users the ability to install software when it suits them or run fixes to known issues without having to contact IT.

Cons

Support can be a bit slow at times, as we have a hosted instance when we call support we are often told we have to wait for someone from the cloud team to take a look and get back to us. Also since updating to v10 we have had performance issues because of a product issue which could be resolved by throwing more resources at the server but as we do not host it we do not have the control to do that. Apparently the problem has been addressed in the next release.
