Always interested to discover more of its features Pros We adopted the NFP version in 2025, which was step up from the old school paper shuffle. It has made for a simpler, more efficient flow of information and meeting management. Cons Nothing specifically. That is sorted now and I am able to log in directly to each organisation. All our board members have jumped in and been able to use BoardPro without difficulty, even our non-techie board members. Pros BoardPro has streamlined our meeting organisation process by making it easier for board members to navigate the meeting agenda and documents. As the organiser of the agenda, it has made my job much easier. Cons Honestly, I cannot think of cons as the integration into our meeting process was simple and went without any issues. I am so glad we made the leap into a board software and BoardPro has made it extremely easy. Pros BoardPro has been excellent for us automating our board minutes. Creating them directly from the agenda makes the process so easy. The customer support at BoardPro has been too-notch and I have been really impressed. The value you get with BoardPro for the money spent is extremely valuable. Cons To be honest, I don’t have anything I don’t like about BoardPro. I would recommend a more robust calendar view of board meeting events, and the ability to create other board related events (not board meetings) that can be viewed and filtered on the same calendar view. This way board members can see all events and board related activities that are important for them doing their job governing the body of their organization. The minute taking process is also very good, easy to produce and then easy to confirm in the next meeting pack. Pros Easy to use, easy to load up papers and share information with Board members. Well structured to identify decisions, noting, etc and easy to attach papers. Cons Having to move between agenda and board pack in the checking phase. When I've finished a draft version of the pack being able to download and review the entire pack is not entirely intuitive. I also find the built in help topics generally helpful. When I have needed further guidance, I have been able to submit my question and get personalised responses. Pros It is easy to create agendas and upload documents. I also really like the flying minute function and ability to create Board only folders. Cons The search function is generally good - it searches within document titles for the whole site, or for keywords within a particular board pack. However I would also love the master search function to search for keywords within documents. July 17, 2025 5.0 The Flying Minute feature has been especially valuable to us in documenting actions taken by the board in between meetings. Minutes can be taken during the meeting directly in Board Pro, then cleaned up later, with draft minutes available for review and comment. All supporting documents are archived and available for review at any time. It is easy to update documents when necessary, and board members will know when a document has changed since the last time they reviewed the board pack. Pros Board Pro allows the management team and officers to properly organize the agenda of each meeting, including supporting documentation, prior to the meeting. The board members can go through the agenda and documents during the meeting on their laptops, saving lots of paper! Actions are clearly documented and archived. Cons It is not free (but the cost is reasonable). There is a little bit of a learning curve for each new secretary and agenda-writer but it is not steep. The ability to circulate reports and make decisions outside of scheduled board meetings leads to timely decision making and greater knowledge shared between operations and board level. The search function is also extremely helpful to see historical records. Cons We have had some anecdotal issues for our trustees that belong to several trusts and struggling to log in to the right company. Cons Nothing really, but have only been using for a few months, maybe would be good to have Committees as part of the standard pack.
