Overall, my experience with ROLLER as an Events Manager has been mixed but largely positive. The platform is strong for managing party and group bookings, tracking payments, and coordinating waivers, which helps keep event operations organized. Having bookings, guest details, and transactions in one system improves visibility and reduces manual follow-ups. However, during high-volume event days, some processes such as editing bookings, handling last-minute changes, and processing refunds can feel slow or overly complex. While ROLLER is a powerful system, certain workflows and reporting tools could be more intuitive and flexible to better support fast-paced event management. With improvements in speed, usability, and customization, it would be an even more effective tool for managing events efficiently.

Pros

What I liked most about ROLLER is its all-in-one functionality. It centralizes waivers, ticketing, memberships, party bookings, and POS into a single system, which helps streamline front desk operations. The real-time syncing of waivers and bookings reduces manual work and speeds up guest check-ins, especially during peak hours. The reporting tools are also useful for tracking sales and attendance, which supports better daily and operational decision-making.

Cons

some workflows are not very intuitive, especially for new staff. Certain tasks such as modifying bookings, processing refunds, or switching between POS and booking screens require multiple steps and can be time-consuming during busy periods. Occasional system lag and delayed syncing also impact front-desk efficiency during peak hours.

Ce logiciel a littéralement transformer notre façon de faire! La gestion du calendrier, des suivi avec les réservations et les waivers

Cons

Selon moi, il manque certains petits trucs mais ils sont toujours en train de se mettre a jour et c'est vraiment ce qu'il faut!

### "Overall worth the value"

Overall, our experience is good with roller. However, there are some challenges that are still there that need to be overcome by the company such as noted above.

Pros

I really enjoy the easy to use nature of the POS machine and vending manager for all my staff. I also really enjoy how easy it is for a guest to purchase tickets through our online ticketing system. Customer support was a problem in the very beginning but the last year or so with the new system it seems to be a lot faster and we get answers a little bit quicker.

Cons

We have had a lot of connection issues and payment processing problems over the last year. I also wish that the inventory reporting and system was a bit more comprehensive.

### "LET'S HOLD YOUR FUNDS "

OK. Was very proactive up to 6 months ago in developing and sorting out issues. Over the last 6 months not much development.

Pros

The ability to make timed group bookings by creating resources. Can send booking directly to customer

Cons

ITs integration with Volare now Roller Karting. There has been no real improving in the last 6 months like promised. We can't time items for sale e.g. Happy hour lunch time specials. Promised membership would be great for our business but it doesn't work in our environment. Roller has been very slow to respond and offering no solution With Roller payments our funds are held for days. Every other eftpos co pays daily. Other Karting venues have left Roller. We have a second venue and are not convinced to change to Roller. We are about to open a third and are giving thought to options

My overall experience with ROLLER is positive. The platform is stable, the schedule-based setup makes peak/off-peak ticketing straightforward, and managing parties, capacity, and vouchers/gift cards is efficient. Reporting covers the basics and support responses are timely. The main friction is promotions: the newest Price Rule works only on Progressive Checkout, which creates inconsistency for sites that remain on Legacy. Adding Price Rule support (or an equivalent) to Legacy, plus a bit more flexibility in promo conditions and email-template customization, would make ROLLER excellent end-to-end.

Pros

I love how easy it is to organise peak and off-peak tickets—fast edits, clear schedule, consistent pricing.

Cons

Price Rule – Current Limitation The latest Price Rule update does not work on Legacy Checkout. It is only available on Progressive Checkout. Impact: Sites remaining on Legacy Checkout cannot apply the new Price Rule logic, which may lead to inconsistent promo handling across flows. Please provide flexibility for merchants who choose to remain on Legacy Checkout—either by enabling Price Rule compatibility on Legacy or offering an equivalent mechanism without forcing a full checkout upgrade.

### "Too Expensive"

Support is fine but does not make up for how expensive it is. Find the whole software to be basic. The funds to be received and funds paid are often full of inaccurate totals/ information.

Pros

It is difficult to say as I think the system is too expensive and clunky. My trial balance reports do not allow me to select more than a 30 day period at a time to look at revenue and sales.

Cons

Expense. It’s horrifically overpriced. Plus should have the ability like GoCardless to run membership Direct Debits in a super easy way, so as if debit cards change through being lost or stolen or get updated then we are still able to receive payments from the customers account.

### "I Love Roller!"

It is the best multi-use POS, CRM and ticket management system I have come across. It has given me a lot of valuable experience that I can carry with me to other ventures in my career. The customer service has also been fantastic!

Pros

How easy it is to address payment issues (refunds, auto renewals) and the flexibility of making different products. I can get creative to meet the demands of my company when it comes to ticketing and tracking revenue. It has been so easy to train other staff on how to use and I always direct new hires to the training videos and help articles.

Cons

The only gripe I have is debit transactions on memberships - sometimes people get visa debit confused with credit cards and this unfortunately makes their membership records with us a little bit funky. I do have a workaround for this in the meantime. This is a VERY specific issue and I can try to catch it when possible.

Rough at first, but the Help Center and our Senior Customer Seccuess Manager have been incredibly helpful in getting us over our obstacles.

I like having one system that serves my company's needs. All our sales can be found under one reporting platform.

Cons

That the program focuses on Bookings as a whole and bundles all items together. It is tricky to see our products individually to track their success.

In the past three years: customer support response times have reduced a lot. Everytime when we think about leaving roller, it releases an update and we like to use it. After the integrated payment processing was released it has been a breeze to use reconcile features.

Pros

The UI, Intergrated Payments Processing and Customer facing ticketing experience is very seamless. Added fee feature.

Cons

Gift card tracking is not accurate. Accounts receivable and deferred revenue breakdown is not available. Reports section has come a long way but needs more.

Overall, slightly above average. It is nice to have access to these tools from any device, but mobile friendliness needs to be addressed. More reporting would really make this product great.

Pros

Secure platform, simple to adopt and use, customization in product listing and party packages, reasonable payment processing rates with option to pass to consumer

Cons

Some problems with customers adopting the platform for features like updating payment method and canceling subscriptions, very limited reporting compared to competitor platforms, never really understood the point of the dashboard. Venue Manager is NOT mobile friendly.

I do not like the overall system as it is not very user friendly in all aspects. On the backend, it is a nightmare, especially with reports.

Pros

It is easy to check in guests and the concessions part makes it very user friendly. Group checkin is also pretty easy to use.

Cons

Depending on how you pull a report, it gives different information. Also, pulling what you need from a report is very difficult. Also, setting up accounts for memberships is damn near impossible.

Having converted our system from booknow, the ease of roller is an important feature. It is both booking and customer friendly and easy to use. The conversion team was also a great help

Ease of Use once the system is in place plus how the system becomes more convenient the more it is used. Also, the training videos are a huge assistance. Also, having the payment system fully integrated is a huge help

Cons

Moving/ uploading information when moving from Booknow. Not so much on the Roller end. But gathering the info and then having it imported but it being deleted between uploads and review to publish live. Also, the invoicing is less formal then some of our groups prefer

Our experience with Roller has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s made a noticeable difference in how smoothly our operations run day-to-day. ### "Huge investment - but even a bigger disappointment in the product"

Just not good. The staff is friendly but even our Implementation specialist admitted on several occasions that their software was lacking and that a lot doesn't make sense for the US market

Pros

Their booking system is good. But other than that, it lacks the basic functionalities that many other POS systems have (Unless you upgrade to their pro version).

Cons

Unfortunately their software doesn't provide so many basic functions you'll find from other POS systems. The reporting is very challenging - for example, if I want to check our staff's gratuities for the night, it will show me every transaction - but doesn't give you a total. You literally have to export the report, download it, open in Excel (or similar) and add a Sum function. The software is also from Great Britain (which we were not told) - and Europe operates so differently then the US Unfortunately there are so many challenges we are about to write off the $15k we invested in them and just start with someone else. Perhaps their higher end subscription does the basics we are looking for - but systems like Clover are a lot less expensive and a lot more functional for basic POS. Sorry.

### "The switch to ROLLER: An important decision that we will not regret"

We switched from another provider to Roller in the middle of the year and have had many positive experiences so far. The possibilities, usability, and customer support are truly outstanding. Customer service is also very good, and the online checkout interface is very appealing. Some functions, such as independently moving/canceling bookings, do not always work intuitively enough.

Flexible product design and event ticketing , intuitive operation especially for scheduling, transparent payments and invoicing, versatile evaluation options, customer support very helpful and easily accessible,

Chargeback process and transparency, Limited possibility to adjust payment methods retrospectivally (SEPA payments), no automatic user log off for venue manager

Fantastic. Everyone who we have encountered at Roller is excellent, and does a great job. We recommend Roller to many others as well given its superior product.

Pros

Roller is very simple to use for our team members and to administer. Customer support is excellent. Presentation to guests is excellent.

Cons

Very simple: Too many bugs. It appears that when new versions / updates come out, other items break, meaning that there needs to be more testing before rolling out new versions. Takes too long for bugs to get resolved as well. Also, it would be nice having a relationship manager again, as that recently went away.

### "Falls short of expectations "

Roller has some good features but lacks meaningful reporting capabilities and has no ability to function on a mobile device. I do not recommend it.

Pros

Ease of use. The dashboard works well and the ability to update products, etc. works reasonably well.

Cons

The fact that there’s no app and I can’t see sales on my phone is maddening. I can’t even see it on a browser because that doesn’t work either.

Great, customer service has always been quick and knowledgable and able to fix my issues, onboarding was easy and the software has been improving more and more over the 5ish years we have been using

Pros

Its an all in one software that runs my whole business, it does everything I need it to do and its easy to use and learn for new staff

Cons

Nothing in particular, the price has been moving up a bit over the years, especially the pro version

I would say somewhat satisfied. Although there are some obstacles, especially in online booking. The enhancements, updates and sharing the pulse report is very useful. I hope you can share the recorded webinar too for those who cannot attend due to the time difference.

Pros

Value for money & User Interface. The continuous enhancement, upgrade and accessibility. The response time of the customer support.

Cons

Limitations on payment method. Currently, limited to Visa & Mastercard Looking forward to seeing an integration with RFID wristbands. Limitation to link the waiver holder in multiple venues in the same country. Complex waiver system.

We love the flexibility it gives for our team to go in and change things as needed. Also, it is so user friendly.

Pros

It is easy to use. Once you learn the system, it's pretty easy to maneuver. It is also very user friendly.

Cons

There are some things that my institution needs that Roller can not do just yet. We need accurate reporting but I understand that our needs are very specific.

### "Not Bad!!"

Pretty good, you can navigate it easily when you know what you are doing and it was easy to learn, and you can go back and find old tickets

Pros

Its easy to navigate, the side bar makes it easy to find where you wabt to go and get back to where you were, its also easy to add waivers to an event

Cons

The multiple steps to add product to your menu, i forget where i am and do sone steps over ajd over again

A user friendly platform that is very easy to use, teachable to new staff and helps to keep venue booking errors at an absolute minimum.

Pros

Venue manger is amazing for its online booking system and its ability to be able to block out sessions and view daily capacities.

Cons

Roller doesn’t have live chat support which is annoying as many other POS providers have instant support when required.

### "Great system when you know what you are doing"

Overall I have had a good experience and I like that it constantly updates. Especially with parties, as that’s my area within the company I work for.

Pros

That when a new problem arises or idea shortly after there is an update. Whenever I think totaled hm we need this, we then get a notification.

Cons

I can’t think of anything at the moment. So far both pos and venue manger have been pretty useful and work hand in hand with each other.

### "Usable for most use cases, great all in one solution"

Pros

Its easy to use if you learn how to handle it.The setup calls are very helpful, if you need support you get feeback from support team in a few hours.

Cons

Sometimes for some hard use cases its not that easy usable. But most of the times, you will find a workaround to use it for such cases. The admin backend is only available in english, maybe for the future, german would be great.
