Overall this package is great bang for buck with most of the necessary requirements met. Value for money and great support, would recommend to everyone

Pros

Its user friendly and easy, we run our restaurant fully on Semper and love it. stock control is bang in and the waiters find it smooth and easy. Support is great too, always friendly and willing.

Cons

Only issue for us is the first recipe of recipe within a recipe is that it creates units instead of also volume or weight, so can't create bulk stuff

It is not safe it is easy to manipulate, and it is not foolproof.

Really enjoy using the system. Does everythgin we need to it do.

Pros

Organised and user friendly. The color options work well for us when keeping track of the status of bookings. Love that the proforma come out as a word document so we can edit it.

Cons

\-That we cant move booking across the different properties.

We have found the Semper system is very User friendly system

Cons

Only issue we cannot have two Booked By on a Reservation. E.G. Booked By : Nightsbridge, Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda etc etc ONLINE Booked By : Company (Truworths, Pfizer etc etc)

### "Simple and Effective System"

We enjoy using it overally and have had very few challenges with the system. Where we have had any challenges, the support we receive is excellent, quick and thorough. The system is easy to learn and any new members of the team catch on pretty quickly. It helps make our bookings quick and easy.

It is user friendly, straight to the point and detailed.

Nothing really comes to mind at the moment.

Good, I do believe however, there is some fine tuning to do with regards to semper and Knightsbridge links as we are experiencing a lot of over bookings which comes through from Knightsbridge and does not allow us to accommodate the Guests on the Semper calendar.

Pros

Does everything one needs for an establishment.

Cons

the online version is very slow - would be great if the speed could be increased. however, nice and modern and very user friendly.

Overall good experience thus far. Something to consider are perhaps periodic videos/guides on processing/handling specific kinds of transactions. e.g. monthly focus communication to allow for more continous indirect training and learnings

Poor turnaround and feedback on more technical queries.

It's a 7/10. It's definitely a better experience than Microsoft ;-) - our only frustration at the moment is the outdated conferencing system.

Pros

Easy to use and intuitive - does everything we need in one system.

Cons

Waiting for the new conference system! We're looking forward to the upgrade but have not been given an ETA.

All our problems have been solved. \[sensitive content hidden\] is always a great help and always has solutions even if it takes her a few days she always gets it done.

Pros

setting up all our own rates, can see all the bookings. We can call at anytime, and someone will answer. I always just work with \[sensitive content hidden\]. But I prefer to work with \[sensitive content hidden\] as she is always so friendly and willing to help. She definitely knows what she is doing and I always feel comfortable with her. She always has solutions and helps us very well.

Cons

That the system has glitches like if I transfer stuff on the system it does not add up or subtract the items. If items are read it sometimes the system does not add it to stock on hand.I dislike it how you put people in management positions that can not do the job. Like \[sensitive content hidden\]. They do not know the system and always does something else than we are asking. I get very frustrated with them because they do not listen to what we want. If I call and it is 1 of them that is answering I will rather wait to speak to someone else even if it takes a day. Even on standby, you need to be profesional and \[sensitive content hidden\] can not be profesional.

I started out being totally intimidated by it, but it has grown on me and now I do not want to use any other system for now.

Pros

I like all the different aspects of Semper, especially all the different reports you can generate.

Cons

Some aspects are a bit over-complicated to get a hang of if you did not receive proper training from the start, e.g. setting up rates, invoice structure, etc.

Reason for choosing Semper

Certain things not possible with Nightsbridge are possible with Semper.

### "Effective Guest Experience"

Semper Reservations and Semper conferencing are the core software that runs our Hotel. We very reliant on it as it is user friendly, effective and affordable

Pros

The product itself is user friendly, we are able to add features to suite our needs. Payment via the online portal quick and the software updates itself automatically saving us time spent checking through our service providers (Bank). You are able to intergrate with any product with easy. For example as a hotel we intergrated with Pilot and Gaap POS systems in order to track payment and ensuring all transactions are in par with the existing features.

Cons

Some time but not often, it does not generate the information needed for example generating occupancy rate , proper employee cash ups. However semper support is effective when the need arises to attend to these matters.

The system is good for small independent hotels, It serves the daily needs of reservations, front office and housekeeping and accounting.

Pros

Dashboard has an easy to use format and everything you need in one place.

Cons

The reporting does not support easy revenue management and analysis.Semper channel manager only connects with limited otas, which is restrictive.

I've used other POS systems and Semper is one of the least user friendly steps are not simple does not take into account the pressure from waiters side in processing orders as it takes very long and becomes frustrating to use - wastes time in waiting for simple tasks to be completed (e.g. waiting for the text box to open, merging a table, splitting a table etc.) No easy to follow User Manual for Semper Conference especially. It's difficult to understand how to use the various functions, e.g. function sheet etc. (not activated on our side)

Easy to check closed tables Easy to re-instate closed tables large icons for easy reading

Cons

Not user friendly Reports are usually not very accurate or user friendly Too many steps to complete a simple task (e.g. split and combine tables) Very slow at times Has many "issues" and takes very long to process table merging or voids. Freezes often Not reliable Does not generate accurate reports Not enough training done No quick view user manual for beginners

Semper has a built in CRM capability to enable you to build extensive profiles for each guest. In addition, you are able to integration to 6 different CRM systems.
