June 26, 2023 5.0 In security, to have a product which is so easy to use, not too expensive and to get all the information you ever wanted, I always thought that this doesn't exist, until our company didn't started to work with Netwrix. Pros The comprehensive auditing capabilities and real-time alerting system were the aspects I liked most about Netwrix Auditor. Additionally, the user-friendly interface and customizable reports were highly appreciated. The software's support for compliance requirements and easy deployment/integration were also significant advantages. Lastly, the knowledgeable customer support provided by Netwrix was another positive aspect that stood out to me. Cons Although Netwrix Auditor offers many valuable features, I found the initial setup process to be somewhat challenging. However, once I overcame that hurdle, the overall experience was positive. It would be nice if it had functionality like AI to look for behavioral anomalies. Pros Ease of use and it was recommended to me by other Bankers at local conferences. Cons Not available in a Linux appliance, would be nice if Netwrix come on a harden Linux appliance instead of running in Microsoft Windows/SQL. The cost of the product is much less than the competition and that's a plus! The alerting is helpful, and the support we receive is efficient and great! Cons In my opinion, I feel like the app could be better on how the reports come up and how quickly the results show. Very simple to send by emails. Cons I like least the lack of being a SIEM because the collected log information is very simple compared to other log software. There was good help from customer service but still quite painful. But it is usefull and required now that it is up and running. Pros IT's very powerful. It adds so much usefull functionality to the existing windows auditing that it can really manage the servers/office3365 ect well form a security/compliance/auditing point of view. Cons It's difficult to configure. It can be offputting to those who are not technical. Not really for smaller businesses. It may not have all the extras of other products, but it is a great value for the price and gives most sysadmins exactly what they need. Pros The simplicity of using it and how it doesn't require a lot of setup and configuration. Cons The query's do take a little knowledge of possible options to get the best, most concise results. Alternatives considered [DataPrivilege](https://www.capterra.com/p/155020/DataPrivilege/) Reason for choosing Netwrix Auditor better value. Awful Support" August 20, 2020 4.0 IT reported the technical support was responsive, but my experience with customer support was very negative. I had several instances of emails going unanswered, sometimes but not always because my contact left the company and our account was never handed over appropriately. Pros The website trial shows off the features of the software while also teaching how to perform a user access audit. The user interface is very clean, user-friendly, intuitive, and snappy. The software comes with a lot of explanations for the built-in reports to help users understand what the report is used for. The software also makes it really easy to monitor the organization, with alerts for unacceptable actions or for unusual behavior above thresholds. Cons Our IT department spent a long time working on getting some of the features and reports working, with some success, but many reports and features were never fixed after a whole year of working with support. Apparently Netwrix support was responsive, but their fixes often failed to work. Using it led to deeper dives into certain aspects of our domain that needed extra security features or tightened control. Pros The predefined reports that are provided and the simplistic dashboard. Cons A lot of the times it says users have failed logins attempts or read attempts, but when you click to see when or where it's coming from it says there is no data, after it says the opposite on the prior page. It does what it needs to do in an orderly fashion. Pros I like the fact that it does all the Auditing we need within our capacity of needing it. The password manager is super easy to use and set up and it does it perfectly. Cons When trying to configure audit reports, we can't deselect lockouts. So, if an account is locked out, and we have a weekly report, I will get about 25 pages of non-useful information such as user lockouts. Review Source SD Scott D. July 17, 2017 5.0 We are able to easily spend our time on innovation as opposed to "fire-fighting." Pros Netwrix makes the process of auditing changes within our Active Directory environment very simple. We no longer have to spend additional time chasing down problems and what caused them. We can quickly evaluate what has recently changed, who changed it and then evaluate the best resolution without wasting time. This allows us to focus on the most important aspects of our jobs! Cons Netwrix does not have a lot of features that I do not find amazing. The only item that I can find that comes close to being a "con" involves the way that data is processed. I would love to find a method of auditing active directory and servers that do not involve granting Domain Admin rights to an account used for the product. It is understandable, though. The automated reports work great. Pros Automation!! Set it and forget it. Once you set up the items you want to monitor, you have the ability to shift your focus to other important items and then be alerted when the criteria matches your rules.
