When conducting search, there is no learning curve, you can simply use the software without needing prior exposure or training on it. The reports are very detail and concise. The daily email reports are great because you can see the health of your critical systems, a report of any group policy changes, SharePoint changes, file changes, etc. This makes audit and compliance a breeze and help with incident management. Cons Some logon reports can be difficult to comprehend especially when doing an ad hoc report of a logon activity of an account. Review Source SB Steven B. Cheaper than competitors and plenty of tie-in products offered. Cons Could be a bit quicker - despite plenty of resources assigned, it can be a bit slow to run searches. I wish there was some capability to deduplicate alerts / get alerts on real-time abnormal activites. It works well and is reliable. I'd like to see mSA integrated for easier manageability. Pros Netwrix Auditor does what it is supposed to do. It works as advertised. Cons I would very much like to see Netwrix Auditor be able to run as a service that is compatible with managed service accounts in Windows so it supports rolling strong passwords that don't have to be maintained by the IT staff. Using it led to deeper dives into certain aspects of our domain that needed extra security features or tightened control. Pros The predefined reports that are provided and the simplistic dashboard. Cons A lot of the times it says users have failed logins attempts or read attempts, but when you click to see when or where it's coming from it says there is no data, after it says the opposite on the prior page. Pros Ease of use, the free use of some tools is very good, they have a wide range of tools available. Pros I like how reliably it reports all Active Directory changes Cons Setting up permissions for file servers manually because our team didn't feel comfortable allowing Auditor setting perms automatically. It does what it needs to do in an orderly fashion. Pros I like the fact that it does all the Auditing we need within our capacity of needing it. The password manager is super easy to use and set up and it does it perfectly. Cons When trying to configure audit reports, we can't deselect lockouts.
