"Easy to use, lightning fast and incredibly easy to deploy"
Overall: Increased client efficiency. Removed all issues with client deployments thanks to the thin client and the HTML5 nature of the product.
Pros: I came across this software when I was looking for a remote managing tool for a client. The fact that the client is HTML5 based makes it incredibly easy to deploy and use regardless of location or device used (including mobile!) which was a must for us. Performance was also beyond expectation, way faster than any other similar product I've used. I was really impressed with the competence of the support team as well. I've actually had the chance to meet the product team during a trip and it was refreshing to see such a dedicated group working on a new product in a sector that is otherwise quite stale.
Cons: The only thing I can say so far it that the UI was originally lacking a little in some areas, but the last release has introduced a lot of improvements. A lot of the latest changes were in fact based on direct customer feedback. This is a statement to how the product team really listen to their customer (something you definitely don't get with the other "big players").
"Remo gets the job done"
Overall: The ability to remotely control another persons computer.
Pros: I have only worked within Remo and have found it to be a solid product that allows for the remote control of an end users computer. The product shows a lot of potential and I have overall been happy with my experience using the program and most of all I have been happy with the Pilixo staff's willingness to seek constructive criticism in the interest of continuing to better the product.
Cons: We tried working with the Remo Assist Feature with very little success. Using the PIN CODE option the connection will hang and never establish itself. Using the "COPY LINK" option the executable does not download and using the "SEND BY EMAIL" option a new Google Chrome window opens, but nothing sends (I think the program is trying to use the default email program which does not lend itself well to our G-Suite environment). To reiterate a request I sent to Remo the other day, it would be great if we could see if a computer is actively being used (and how long it has been inactive for) prior to signing into it. This would allow us to check if a customer is actively using their computer and if they are not then we know if it is a good time for us to sign in and make adjustments to it. This is infrequent, but occasionally the computer being controlled will stop taking my input (keyboard and mouse); however, the local end users input is still accepted. I close and then reopen the session and my control is reestablished.
"Too Many Steps"
Overall: Dissappointed - limited tech support and capabilities. Low quality platform and support given the cost.
Pros: The software is interesting because it allows for virtual networking, and seeing people face to face other than zoom or teams.
Cons: There are too many steps to setup and launch Remo on your computer, especially if you are on a VPN. We have tried to roll this out as a virtual networking tool and people just won't join because it's that difficult. We even hired tech support who were not able to help some of our guests.
"Reliable Remote Control and Monitoring"
Overall: Next generation of monitoring of servers.
Pros: It uses lot less bandwidth than any other tools in this category we have used. Must have tool for the MSPs to monitor the changes happening on the devices.
Cons: We haven't come across any. Initially there was no support for the attended support when we have started. Later it was added and works great.
"Great platform for Virtual networking but comes at a price!"
Pros: Very interactive and fun platform for hosting virtual events. The thing I like most about this software is that it is created more with the aim of hosting an ‘event’ rather than a webinar or conference. The software, it’s features and the ease of use along with the idea of joining different ‘tables’ makes it great to use for hosting things like virtual games like pop quizzes, online puzzle games etc. this tool proved to be very useful for our organisation During the pandemic where we had to shift all events on lines and we used this platform To host networking events and quiz nights for our students.
Cons: I would say that the price of this software would make it inaccessible for smaller organisations without big marketing budgets to access this software.
"Remo is the fastest and lightweight remote control we ever used"
Overall: Cost reduction. Better efficency in mamanging remote computers
Pros: We switched to Remo from another similar software because of the competitive price. We were also curious to try a HTML5 based tool (we are a small software development company). So we discovered that Remo it's not only quite cheap, but also extremely fast and stable. It connects almost instantly and we never experienced lag or low response time.
Cons: Some details in the control panel can be improved, even if the overall user-experience is pretty good
"Remo meeting software"
Overall: Was looking for a meeting software that allowed us to speak to an entire room, but then allow attendees to interact with each other. I liked how Remo does that.
Pros: Ability to intuitively grasp the concept of moving around to meet / see other attendees... "table hopping." This is the feature I liked the most, by far.
Cons: Pricing made it too costly to continue to maintain a license for my clients
"great product and great price!"
Overall: Product is still young but nonetheless team is doing great job at adding new features, supporting customer requests and improving speed.
Pros: Product is extremely easy to install and use. Performance is absolutely stunning especially given the fact that product in fully HTML5 based.
"Remo is the easiest to use and most flexible to integrate Remote Control solution I have every seen."
Pros: The ease of deployment and use is unbeatable. You don't even need to install a viewer and can use it from any machine with a modern web browser. It even works well from tablets and phones.
Cons: If I had to pick something I would have to say my least favorite part of the solution is that its UI is purple.
