However, it was a painful process, and I wouldn't be as precise since it was a manual process. I got Quickbooks online which helped a lot with entering the data and putting order to that, but in their basic and mid tiers there is no good forecasting available. Cash Flow Frog very easily integrates with my Quickbooks Online account and let's me know about upcoming cash inflows or expenses that could sometimes surprise me. Now I just need to remember to check weekly or monthly the forecast. If there's something you consider wrong with the forecast you can check what data it is using and apply any corrections. Pros It can create very useful forecasts from my Quickbooks Online account. I also like how it rates your customers depending on how timely they pay. Cons Wouldn't know. I guess they should just keep improving on their forecasting, it isn't perfect of course, but works well enough for me. It integrates so well into Quick Books and is super user friendly. We were able to get an accurate view of our cash flow in a few days after initial data entry was complete. I highly recommend this software for any small business that needs a better tool than the native cash flow module in quickbooks, that didn't suit our needs. Cons No cons that we could find so far. AND, is making our planning of an entire year of work extremely accurate. And we greatly appreciate the constant work on improving the app. Every new feature has been equally helpful in detailing all this out for our small business. LOVE IT Pros This program is so easy to implement when it grabs everything you have already entered into Quickbooks. I can clearly see where I need to make changes in my cashflow and the program makes it easy to move things around so I can make the cashflow work for weeks and months down the road. How did we operate without this program before!? Cons It can be glitchy sometimes, but it's rare. And with all the things it is making better in my business, and how quickly customer service responds, it's a very small gripe. I prefer it over the popular app Float, because you can change the views from monthly to weekly and even daily without having to drill down on each transaction (weekly and daily can be very useful for bookkeepers, finance managers, especially if you don't have much cash buffer and must frequently keep an eye on your bank balances to make sure you don't go below and have enough cash for upcoming expenses). It seemingly pulls data from QB, so make sure your books up to date - GIGO - garbage in-garbage out, remember. It takes me so little time to understand our cash flow. Pros The ability to look forward with all key cash flow drivers integrated is just straight up transformational. This integrates, PO's, Credit cards, Invoices, AP and allows for easy addition of projections (revenue and costs). It just gives me what i need to make decisions, to see what is so now and see what's coming. Cons Moving from comfort of a a spreadsheet was the only drawback, but it did not take much to get over that! Creating scenarios allows me to play out best case - and have the warm fuzzy 'everything is going to alright ' feeling, or the worst case, where I can then prepare and make better decisions to avoid going out of business! Pros Cashflow Frog is very easy to use, especially if you already use Quickbooks for your accounting. Data is pulled across easily and from there, projections and scenarios are easily built out to let you understand your future cashflow needs. Cons There is not much I disliked about using Cash flow Frog. If I had to nit pick, the categories that get pulled across from the QBO chart of accounts are only toop level. If you have multiple sub catergories underneath the parent category, only the parent shows. I recommended it to a few of my friends who run their own businesses and would highly recommend it to anyone with their own business. I never thought figuring out my cashflow can be so simple. Pros I was at a loss about my cash flow before coming across this great tool . To be honest what I like best is how effortless it was to set up. After connecting to my QuickBooks account, the program took care of everything and generated my cash flow for me. I also love the scenarios - they let me be more certain if I can increase my spending in upcoming months. Cons Nothing that I don't like.
