I used to program to access my students and prepare for Testing prep. After seeing last years data, it’s a prime example of a productive program. The data that we are given from the program is great to create our teacher action plans off of so we know what students to help and in what content areas. The students love that when they take a test on it that they get their scores immediately! Cons The only con I have found so far is sometimes the performance task or the questions may not match the Oklahoma standard correctly. I also like that I am able to create my own test and review material that may not have been mastered in class. Cons There is not adequate material for the entire content area and some information is not up to date. Some material is also not aligned with my standards. And how user-friendly it is. And how quickly the customer support folks will respond when needed. There is no just one thing that is the best. Cons I like everything about it, but the thing I like least, I guess, is that in some instances the questions go from way too easy to extremely difficult within the same assessment. Pros I have been using USA TestPrep to enhance student learning and improve test performance for more than 10 years. I like the interactive user-friendly aspects that are tied to specific skill enhancement and test practice. Cons The occasional errors found in text and answer choice and sometimes repeated questions. Reason for choosing USATestprep Easy to learn and menu driven (for teachers AND students. It gives me useful reports to support the teaching and learning of the students. It maintains the data for a long enough time. The reports are easy to read. Pros 95% flexibility in getting useful reports. The students can self-teach by the step by step solutions provided when triggered by the teacher. Cons No pretests; have to use benchmarks. USATestPrep needs to move quicker in synchronizing with Georgia's yearly "jerking" around with the curriculum. Now in Analytic Geometry Last year Unit 4 and unit 1 are interchanged. Teacher Used the software for: 2+ years ### "USA Test Prep provides many different types of questions for students all in a user friendly package" July 31, 2017 5.0 Pros The user friendly assignment set-up for teachers makes this a no brainer. It truly takes minutes to create an assignment with multiple choice questions, vocabulary exercises, games, open-ended critical thinking questions, and a post-test. The questions for math are excellent, often with diagrams and tables that would are difficult to find elsewhere. I have been a USA Test Prep user for over five years. It is a staple in my classroom. Cons There truly isn't much I don't love about USA Test Prep. But I would love to see even more questions generated for certain topics in math. The students benefit from it, and it helps teachers with preparing for our End of Course exams. I will continue to use this program as long as my school will allow me. It is a huge benefit to the way I run my classroom. Pros This software is teacher-friendly. The data that it provides has single-handedly helped me in differentiating instructions for my students. Cons Sometimes the questions repeat too often within assignments or assessments. It is extremely basic and my students were not motivated to use it. But, the basic nature could be a positive in certain circumstances. Using it with easily distracted students (some programs have TOO much going on) could be beneficial. Pros The teacher feedback tools are useful for finding out where your students stand on various concepts. Cons I did not like the read aloud feature. This program allows me to assign lessons based on those areas of weakness which means I'm intervening in a matter of minutes. RTI & remediation concerns have been eliminated with the ease of use this program allows. Cons USATestPrep is truly a unique program offering quick, formative assessments & immediate access to student data. Also used for in-class testing in classes that do not have state Pros The platform is extremely easy to use and has all of my current standards pre-loaded. Additionally, the data is automatically extracted after testing so that I may review the data and determine what changes to my teaching/delivery I need to make. Creating, sharing, and editing tests is extremely simple and the test banks are vast. Extremely easy to use and extremely thorough! Cons I do not have any cons from my perspective. This is everything I wish from an on-line testing software platform. This software will help differentiate instruction and provide individualized learning to each student. Cons I recommend that USATestPrep offer FSA ELA prep (this is for Florida students). With that being said, students can still bridge their learning gaps by focusing on the standards. It's used in our science and social studies classrooms. Pros Our district is 1:1with Chromebooks, so this can be used on remediation, assessments, or because students enjoy it. Cons The test questions are written at a higher reading level than most of my students. I have low levels, inclusion, and ELL students. I like that a pinpoint specific student struggles, and that students can track their growth. Cons It need slightly better standard alignment/ more questions tailored to SC standards.
