### "McCormick or Accubid? "

October 11, 2016

4.0

We went through a detailed review of both McCormick's Win 6000 and Accubid's product. After thorough analysis, we picked McCormick's software. We found that McCormick simply has a greater value. Both products can do the same thing, however with Accubid the additional (yearly, and upgrade fees) add up quite substantially.

Pros

1\. Customer Service: Any technical problems/questions are resolved very promptly. 2. All-in One: With McCormick you can easily produce change orders within a project folder. With Accubid, you need to purchase a program just to do change orders and they aren't upfront about it.

Cons

1\. A few glitches 2. 32 Bit System - You may get get some glitches on initial set-up (however tech support, resolved them instantly).

### "Estimating Software"

August 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

Support team with McCormick Systems did an awesome job explaining the software and did a online demonstration that showcased the product before I purchased which made the decision easy. The product flows really well from screen to screen. The support during all hours of the night is outstanding.

Cons

A little expensive but worth it. There is a little bit to be learned but the customer support helps cure this problem.

### "This program has helped our company put together large quotes just weeks after buying the software, and saved a LOT of time. "

April 3, 2018

5.0

This is a fantastic program to complete bids, and just doing material take offs for projects. The customer support is outstanding and they help work through any question/issue in a timely manner.

Pros

There are so many pre-loaded assemblies, and items to use right away. The DEP allows the user to insert items where ever needed, using the proper symbols. Being able to change the take off material/manpower in the extend tab. Having the system save all projects, and being able to change between them easily.

Cons

It does take a lot of updating to maintain speed. There is a lot to know before feeling comfortable about a bid that has been taken off.

### "Easy to Learn"

November 7, 2016

4.0

This a good software for estimation purpose.I have used this for electrical installation estimation. This is very easy to learn by yourself. They have created assemblies for the each work task ,because of that you will not miss anything when you do your estimation. And also in addition to assemblies they mentioned item prices also. Therefore you are able to utilize these based on your requirement. They have already added prices for materials based on current market price ,But you can chance those if you needed. When considering overall ,this may good product.

Pros

This product is vary easy to use. when you try on your first day may understand its function by yourself. They have a very good video lessons that explain the steps and procedures for how to use this software efficiently. When i started this software to my estimation ,i learned it using their video lesson .I think , This all video is very easy to follow.I am sure all videos may help you to easy your work task. McCormick also has a very reliable support system if you have any troubles.

### "McCormick’s needs to go back to the drawing board."

November 21, 2019

3.0

Great material breakdown.

Pros

Very detailed on material. That’s about it.

Cons

Not one of my customers like the proposal set up. I’ve lost jobs because the proposal is so unprofessional. If you want to use this system and pay out the ting yang for a material software, be my guest.

### "So far, so great!"

January 12, 2016

4.5

Pros

While I am still learning my way around the software, my best impression lies with the service of this company. Before I even purchased the product, I was given an unexpected amount of time and attention to have all my questions answered. Currently, if I am having trouble navigating the system, I have found the tech support to be extremely and appropriately responsive. Even the representative who closed the sale on my system remains in contact and available if needed. That is unheard of in my customer service experience and greatly appreciated.

Cons

I have had to perform frequent updates with the system either as technology has changed on my end or theirs. While this is mildly inconvenient, I do feel like I have a product that is always up to date. These updates or issues have always been dealt with promptly and with little effort on my part so it is really not a complaint but an observation.

### "McCormick Estimating software is easy to learn, and a great way to get bids out quick"

March 31, 2018

5.0

Pros

I like the ability to set up assemblies of different products to sail through different bids. I also really enjoy the On Screen Estimating Pro to be able to load bids into their system and just click and insert material.

Cons

Initially using extension and bid summary were hard to grasp the concept of, but through a little teaching it is a very handy tool

### "First Steps with McCormick Electrical"

October 12, 2016

4.0

Although we are just starting exploring the software we are experiencing shortfalls as it applies to power line construction and its materials. We will make our own adjustments and the McCormick people seem sportive enough, but we feel the need to attend their seminars to really learn the guts of the product and its abilities. So I guess we aren't dating, but need to be married and live with this software for years.

Pros

Closest application to powerline contractors we could find.

Cons

Always more we need to buy and or attend and learn. Materials package add on not addressing the powerline market.

I have been very happy with the product and how easy it has been to learn.

Pros

On Screen Estimating has been a great addition to my company. I really like not having all the stacks of plans floating around the office. The take off has been very easy and tracking the labor units has taken a great deal of stress off me.

Cons

While navigating the system (where I own the 1000 level) it keeps teasing me with new tabs that when clicked on denies access duen to not having purchased the more expensive program.

Cons

### "McCormick Estimating System"

July 1, 2015

4.5

Pros

This system has great versatility, your able to breakdown the job into as many pieces as need. Easy set up for a schedule of values. Excellent customer service and support.

Cons

The only issue I have is pricing as we didn't purchase the offered pricing package. We are working with a couple of our vendors to get regular pricing up dates.

### "Great over all product"

September 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

Tec support There is plenty of estimating software company's that can get the job done. We tried a few of them and they all glitch with new updates. The biggest difference is in the tec support! When windows updates and you are under the gun to get a proposal out, you will be in good hands knowing that the issue will be fixed in a timely manner.

Cons

Other then the upfront cost it is great. We started out with the 3000 and as we grew we increased to the 6000.

### "Outstanding customer support. Software fulfills our needs exactly."

June 12, 2017

5.0

I would highly recommend McCormick Systems over any other Take Off software.

Pros

System allows us to give more accurate bids and also allows us to avoid delay in waiting on pricing from supply companies. Also the flexibility in creating your own personal assemblies and overlapping similar plans are key features.

Cons

Multi User function is costly. Like most other systems available, you will need a large monitor to view plans.

### "Great Estimating tool"

December 23, 2015

4.0

Pros

It's a great check and balance to doing takeoff because of all that's written in to it. It helps prevent missing things while doing takeoff

Cons

I still can't upload a print and push a button and have it give me the perfect winning bid number yet. Really, I have no major complaints.

### "Good software"

September 7, 2016

4.0

Pros

Precise product with great potential. The vendor and customers service are impressive. They were there to help me all time, every day even the week-end.

Cons

Lots of options but hard to use. You need help to learn how to use them. The tutorial needs to be more detailed. Courses are being given but only in USA so other countries such Canada, we can rely only on those tutorials

### "McCormick Has changed how our company operates for the better "

November 2, 2015

5.0

Pros

Software works great from start to end of a project, helps keep things organized and streamlined. Support staff is great, tech support and phone support. Don't have many issues but if I do they are solved within a very short period.

Cons

training classes are only on the states. I like the travel but it would be more cost effective if it were to take place in Canada.

### "McCormick Electrical software"

There support system seems really strong.

Pros

It has a lot of take off's and assemblies to speed up the time to write a bid. It is a fairly simple process and helps you through step by step until you get to the end.

Cons

We have to have a key in the computer to use it and the software comes on cd's. Who uses CD's anymore?

### "Estimating software"

May 30, 2019

Pros

Customer support is beyond my expectations. I was able to start bidding without much training but after i got around 10 bids out I started looking to become more efficient with the bidding . That's when I started having questions and they were right there answering everything.

Cons

Costs. Flat out any of the estimating software is an investment. They all have great salesman but in the end I went with what I trusted the most.

I have used McCormick Systems estimating software for over seven years now. This is the first investment of my company when I started my business. It has also been my best investment. McCormick is very easy to use and adaptable to particular needs. I also use Traser SX and On Screen Take-off and they seamlessly integrate with the estimating software. The Tech Support is spot on and very capable. We are also allowed to give input on what we would like to see in the updates to the software.
