I think I've got a good base knowledge of the system but still have alot to learn. Pros I like the ease of use and the streamlined takeoff for estimates and the customer service and tech support have been great. Cons Every now and then it freezes on my computer, and I have to restart my computer to continue. I also think there's so much it can do that I don't know about yet. The classes were informative. I actually enjoyed. the software works well as intended. Pros Customer support the entire team is amazing, any time I have a question or need some help its quick and fast. Cons Cut and paste not available. Up used to being able to copy items and paste them where they are needed. Ability to customize the drawings is unmatched by other software's that I tested. Cons There's a learning curve but it's well worth it. It may seem pricey before you realize the benefits. Make DEP better. Just keep doing what you are doing. You did the things I wanted in V16 and unless you updated the DEP I don't have any more wants or needs. I will be updating to V16 soon and I am very excited. Pros The extensive details I can customize and change. Being able to be 100% accurate to the screw while also being able to extremely granular in breaking out bids. Cons The DEP features and customization are not only underwhelming but are really buggy or broken. The symbol editor is atrocious, and I have gotten the favorites box stuck off screen. I previously used Accubid for 10 years, and ConEst and Estimation for a few years before that. McCormick is the best by far in my opinion. I love how they are constantly improving the platform. Pros There are so many thing to like about McCormick. The biggest one for me is the onscreen take-off (PRO-DEP). With this tool, I can save reprographic costs, and complete my take-off in a fraction of the time is would take without the tool. Cons Sometimes the user interface is clunky. It can be a little bit of a chore to edit assemblies. It would be nice to travel to an item based on database line item (for the most common items). Stable platform, I do really like the new options for "breaking out" jobs". The "online" sales pitches are useful as well. Pros Mostly very intuitive to use. Auto count for takeoff and the wiring saves a lot of time on estimating. Cons I do wish on the jobs list, you could search. The Landing has helped a little bit with the most recent jobs on the list. Many jobs go a month or ore out, or even longer. The only way to find them is to sort by name, and hope you named it properly.
