" April 2, 2020 5.0 We are trying to educate large numbers of our community on new ways of doing business, new best practices, etc. Demio allows us to do that on a very effective one-to-many platform. Pros The entire set up process is intuitive and clear. Even if this is your first webinar, the applications steps you through everything you need to do to produce and communicate a first-class webinar and experience for your attendees. Cons I would like to be able to record the chat as well, but I know that is in process for a future release. I think it would be helpful to be able to create a time range rather than just a start time. Being able to use native PowerPoint would also be great. It is a bit pricey. Reason for choosing Demio After researching, Zoom is more of a conversational tool. While it CAN be used for a "webinar" it isn't really a true webinar and it lacks some of the backstage components that make Demio a more interesting, and for us - a more appropriate choice. They subscribe support service I offer. I store the recordings as course material for their future reference. And I present live sales webinars. I plan to use their Evergreen webinar system to deliver those sales webinars unattended. Pros Demio is simple to use. Great pricing. My clients join via a browser so no need to download anything. Super-fast helpdesk client support. Idiot-proof, as I discovered as I disconnected myself as a presenter yesterday, and took just 30 seconds to reconnect. My viewers barely noticed. Cons I haven't bumped into any challenges worth mentioning. I had a seamless transition from working with GoToWebinar. (And after 10 years with GTW I expected a lot more learning curve.) Pros I love the way it looks; very student-friendly. It's pretty easy to upload visual presentations. I love that I can bring people onto the webinar live. And I love that students can access the recordings after the sessions. Plus it's affordable. Cons Really disappointed that I can no longer upload video from YouTube. Pros I found that the software was VERY intuitive, but the main reason why I chose Demio is because the webinar viewer does not have to download software. I was also impressed with its integration into Convertkit. Cons On one of our three webinars, the signal kept dropping for viewers, and I believe this had to do with our wifi strength rather than the software. Not sure. Pros We did our first virtual continuing education program and had about 200 people attend. We were very nervous about technical issues. From the start, the setup, registration process, setting up the presentation, going live and the back end data captured were all fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone setting up larger virtual meetings. Cons We did not have any issues with the program. What's also great is you can even share materials like polls, handouts, and redirects during both types of webinars when you want or at pre-determined time stamps. Super helpful stuff. Cons I find Demio on the pricier side relative to the service you're getting, though the features are pretty great. For example, most people are used to attending free webinars, so you really need to ensure you're getting some solid ROI if you're creating webinars to attract/qualify leads who may eventually purchase your products. (I'm on the $99/mo plan with the automated webinars being the main feature of that tier.) Pros Can have two presenters on-screen (from separate locations, with video) AND slides. Also love all the automation features, which integrate with all the common SMB CRMs (I use ActiveCampaign, and their AC integration works flawlessly). Basically, the product and UX feel like modern software designed by a young, forward-thinking company. And their customer service team is phenomenal. Cons They changed the price a few times since I joined. At one point, I was paying a higher price for a package that was on the website for much less. The option to chat with attendees either publicly or privately is great and the handouts feature that allows providing materials during the webinar also adds value to the service. Pros There's a lot to like about Demio: the clear user interface, easily customizable registration/thankyou pages/reminder emails/webinar rooms, and high video quality. I also appreciate that it is not necessary to download any desktop software for hosts or attendees. The simple screen sharing feature via chrome extension is also a big plus. Cons Only cons I found is the overall speed of the app. The dashboard is sometimes slower to respond, the registration pages take some time to load, as well as the recordings of the webinar (we had to download the webinar recording and upload it to a third-party website, because some of our users had trouble loading the video. It’s like driving a car... you have to learn and it’s complicated, but once you do, stepping on the gas, on the breaks, stirring the wheel... it all just comes natural and all your brain cares about is your destination. Pros I loved that this is a web-based platform and my webinar registrants did not have to download anything. I loved the private chat feature so I could communicate with my team live. The technical support was SUPERB! The live team answered my questions promptly and thoroughly and sent an email with the conversation for me to reference. Cons There is no dial-in capability. For us, this limited the number of people we were willing to present to as it would have been hard to keep up with the text chat, and it frustrated a few of our attendees who did not have sound set up on their desktop computers.
