These include a 15 day cutover of a human resources upgrade for a major bank which ran multiple shift patterns 24/7. There were in excess of 200 technical and business resources online across a variety of countries and time zones. Without using Iceflo we would not have been able to have one easily obtainable view nor have delivered a successful cutover, as the tool allowed for us to centrally control our event. Pros As an implementation manager I am fortunate to have used the tool for more than 6 years I have seen the tool evolve and improve the quality of cutovers. It allows you programme management team to have one consistent view across multiple streams of the implementation identifying hotspots or issues that may arise during an event. The tool provides real-time reporting and updates as you're event progresses. Re-usable runbooks allow you to dress rehearse your event and make updates as you go along to ensuring refined implementations. Various roles available in the tool allowing for construction, management, viewing and execution of an event. Excellent support network in place to answer any questions relating to the product Cons I have no real issues with the software. The team was really helpful. They helped us in on-boarding and also made some changes in the software to help us. Data security for us was very critical which they took really good care of. Pros Setting up users with restricted access was very helpful for our project. We had more than 1000 users using the software simultaneously, so restricting people access as per their roles really helped us maintain the quality of our project. Cons The software has limited reports for the higher management (CXOs) and doesn't give an overall picture of the project. Some of the things have been resolved in new updates, but a better summary for the executive committee would be very helpful. Also used effectively and efficiently in small situations, such as migration of a trustee & depositary service over 36 hours with a total of 40 - 50 participants, including Test and business users. Pros It gives a single, realtime view of the whole implementation, and each performer or manager can see a scope & level of detail appropriate to their role. Excellent integration with command & control structure, process and issue management Excellent reporting, with roll-up/drill down. Helps to focus on emerging issues before they become a crisis Cons No major concerns. Perhaps navigation and data import/export could be slicker. The move to a consolidated view of a system implementation that spans multiple delivery streams has simplified my oversight, control, and management of risks & issues during what is often a highly charged time, cannot be overemphasized. Having that single span of control has helped greatly in the successful delivery of my various projects and helps both the delivery teams and communication with all necessary stakeholders much simpler to manage and control. The implementation and use of IceFlo are simple for technical and non-technical staff, with an easy to use interface that allows easy adoption and user buy-in. Pros The ability to have one system where all implementation steps are known and interdependencies are identified. The constant tracking and forward view of an implementation finish time and risk to change window is key. Having stakeholder communication templates ready to be issued, prior to the implementation, allows ease of stakeholder management. Cons No major issue with this product or how it is implemented. The product has been refreshed and upgraded regularly based on informed feedback from those users at the sharp end (including me!) has culminated in an easy to use, clear, ‘real-time’ user interface that puts the control firmly in your hands.
