It has eased stress for me, been user-friendly for families, and has ultimately saved the school man-hours which translates to dollars. Pros I am so thankful for the automated format of the dismissal process. I used to be the person that kept track of all the changes and schedules. The system has saved me 15 to 20 hours a week. The weight has been lifted that the onus for student schedule changes is on the parents, not on me. Additionally, having this system in place was crucial as I had a medical emergency last school year and was out of work for over a month. The system allowed my co-workers to continue operations smoothly in my absence and I didn't have to worry about the dismissal process during my recovery. Thirdly, I really like that it integrates with our SIS. Cons There are some sub-level functions that could be more user-friendly, but on the whole that is a minimal complaint. Cons We don't utilize everything that PikMyKid has to offer such as, syncing absent students, we do that manually. When we first rolled it out, we had questions during the first few days of school, but Pikmykid responded to our questions very quickly. As a Tech Director at the school, I'd say that they have the best technical support of any company I have ever dealt with. They respond quickly with the correct answers, so my impression is that their tech support people are sharp and well-trained. I'm so happy that we chose Pikmykid.
