Pros The auto tracking feature in the app and the thought of the beacon making tracking even easier Cons All the inconsistency in tracking and the beacon never properly pairing but saying it did. I constantly get pinged daily to pair the beacon even when the truck isn’t turned on. Pairing with the beacon is only required during its initial setup with Psngr app. No pairing is required, and in fact discouraged, after that. When the beacon is paired, it operates in "pairing mode" and does not publish its presence. This actually prevents Psngr app from detecting the beacon. Please check iOS Settings > Bluetooth, and remove PsngrBeacon from the devices list to prevent accidental pairing with the beacon. If the app still fails to detect your beacon after you've removed it from iOS Settings > Bluetooth devices, it may be due to: 1. The beacon is plugged into a USB port in the vehicle that does not deliver consistent power, either via a faulty USB charger connected to the 12V socket (cigar lighter), or masked by objects (e.g. when plugging the beacon into a USB socket in the glove compartment). 2. iOS Bluetooth may need to be restarted. Try rebooting your iPhone. 3. The beacon device itself is damaged and needs to be replaced. ES Emelia S. When it auto tracks drives I don’t need they’re easy to delete so an easy fix. The main issue is the draining of my phone battery. Otherwise it’s easy to use and works well. Pros It’s quite accurate with the auto tracking with the location. It’s easy to put it into the categories for private and business. I like that you can see reports as you go about how much is weighted to private and business. Cons Sometimes it tracks me when I’m walking and uses up my phone battery. The only way to get it to stop tracking walking is to disable the auto movement but then it won’t auto track drives. It doesn’t save the walking but it drains my phone battery. I also do not like when it auto tracks and I delete it mid drive or walk and then it starts to auto track again despite deleting it. You can assign journeys to a specific vehicle, and tag trips for any purpose you like. Easy to pull reports for expenses and accounting. Back when i started, it was a bit clunky and slow. But the few $$ you pay per month is actually worth it! Their customer support team have always been so helpful if I have ever had an issue or question. They also listen to feedback. This resulted in the app being developed and I no longer see an issue with it being clunky or slow. Its very sleek and fast now! The small amount you pay definitely goes back into developing and improving future updates. Pros I like the ease of use! I purchased the Bluetooth beacon to use in the car. Since then it sends me a notification after every trip, that I can easily click on and identify if it was for business. Automatic and runs in the background (without having to constantly open the app). Cons I found that for more accurate trips the Bluetooth beacon is a must! It provides an instant starting of the trip and knows exactly where you finish. Without it, sometimes it would take a few minutes to recognise you were driving. Review Source EM Eddie M. July 2, 2019 5.0 I have persevered with this new app for over a month now and starting to appreciate its benefits. Overall my experience with Psngr has been good. The app is responsive and effective. The support is excellent and I would recommend this app to anyone who needs to record travel mileage for whatever reason. Pros I like the convenience of not having to worry about tracking mileage manually. I like the monthly report which is very convenient and saves me admin time and paperwork. I like the fact that Psngr tracks and your records your actual journey directions. Cons Software can be fiddly to use at the beginning, but I suppose all apps can be like this until you get to know your way around. Also the custom mileage rate which I tried to assign to my vehicle kept defaulting back to the HMRC rate of 45 pence per mile, however, this was a bug and was fixed by the support team fairly quickly.
