Parent Accounting Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Good software" December 18, 2018 5.0 Pros It's convenient and pretty straightforward to use. Cons It would be better if the login page can be switched to a number pad when entering phone number and pin to login. It's not as easy to put in numbers when it's in a keyboard format, and sort of unnecessary when it's only numbers we need to enter to log in and out of the centre. Review Source SH Sam H. March 15, 2018 3.0 Pros Love the ease of getting in and working with the rolls each day, accounts will be great when we have worked with them a little more. Like that information can be loaded electronically and the data entry at my end is minimal. Still struggling with some items, but these will come when we have the complete package available for us to use. Educators are starting to use the app and this has been working well for them. Cons Not having the full package at our finger tips, sometimes we need that extra bit that has not been released to achieve what we need and we don't have access to it. That we get conflicting messages from different support staff when we are asking for help. Cons Very good system, however could suggest adding the access to CCS agreements to iPhone app, and perhaps a fingerprint or face scanner function to hasten the manual login process when signing children in/out of the centre. Pros I’m not really sure there is a part that I like “most” Cons I have always struggled to read the statements and understand my payments etc. I kept falling behind in my payments and didn’t know because I had issues understanding it. I had a set amount I allowed so I would never fall behind paying but twice I have been massively behind which is a struggle to catch up as a single parent. Slightly getting the gist of it recently. Updating rolls, payments etc has been great. Pros I found the software easy to use most of the time.i was able to chat with consultants when I’m having issues and were able to find solutions. Cons Some families found it a bit hard to navigate. Setting up families for sign in/out first time was time consuming. Head count at any given time is ok but would appreciate a way for staff to monitor this through each area they are in ie oval, inside room games court etc When families book via app we are not getting a message for the booking especially if it’s on the day. Looks like it would be good if more information was posted on it or if the app was more friendly to allow parents to easily post pictures and updates. Pros I can see when my daycare has signed my child in on my behalf on the days that I have forgotten to sign in and I can see my payments. Cons It doesn't get used. Xplor's customer Service has been exceptional and very supportive. Pros Xplor's customer service have been amazing and always able to get in contact with them when needed via their online chat. Xplor has meant as both a Director and Approved Provider I can see exactly what is going on with staffing and ratios when I am not there. It has also helped to minimize my time spent on family accounts. Cons With the new upgrades there have been a few teething problems which have caused minor issues for the office and educators, however looking forward to once all these have been resolved. Pros Ease of use - sign in from own mobile makes it quick in the morning and we aren't waiting to use the sign in / sign out device. Security is adequate since we can only use it in proximity to the child care centre. Cons reporting is poor for the account statements and usage. The program allows us to monitor childrens needs easier and cuts out a lot of un-needed paper waste. Cons From time to time there is issues documenting meals or photos don't load into observations and such but it normally sorts itself out pretty quick. Review Source SA Sharon A. Pros The ease of use and functionality in this system is great. As a child care provider we have found it quite easy changing from another provider with a smooth transition with help from the support service. Cons I think the sign in and out sheets for OSHC is quite a challenge as we collect the children by bus. So unless we organise for the children to sign ion and out it means a carer has to spend copius amounts of time signing children in rather than supervising and interacting with them. Pros In comparison to the other childcare apps, I find xplor easy to use, detailed activities of my child including her naps,happy change and meals. I don't need to ask the carer as everything I need to know is housed in xplor. Pros The electronic booking appears to be easy for parents, the staff, visitor sign in looks wonderful. I think that it is going to be easy to use and the families will benefit in the end as will staff as I will have less Admin. Cons I think that the cost for the whole package is going to be hard to pass onto families and as a service who is not making money it is going to be hard to justify. I am also not super keen on the invoicing system having to email all families one at a time, rather than sending bulk invoices by email like I can at the moment. I.e. photo from special weekend for the kids to show and tell, notification to teacher about something the kids learnt outside daycare so alignment can be implemented at school too Pros It allows educator to send a broadcast message to parents for any emergencies/alerts that affects the whole centre Cons Its not a basic function for parents to communicate to the kids room.
