Pros: I usually don't like get bombarded with emails from companies, but each email Simple Practice send have answered my questions about their program. It makes me realize that they have gathered the data of past questions and support given to previous clients and created proactive email support new clients. I have not had to reach out to their customer service yet because my questions have already been answered. However, I have no doubt that when I do need to reach out to them, they will answer quickly and comprehensively.

I"m relieved to have simple practice as I am new to independent practice.

Pros: It is mostly intuitive and dependable. It feels like therapists who know the work thoughtfully developed the software. I appreciate how comprehensive it is in covering all the bases and many aspects of clinical work. thank you.

Cons: I'm still learning the software and notice things here and there that feel disappointing, for example that there is not a way to add an intake template. I also find the customer service of online only to be impersonal. I do understand this is the trend of the world but given a helping profession, deeply personal, it feels cold and disjointed. I have a few friends who use the software and have had negative experiences that they could not resolve in a timely fashion because of this. This has made me worried about what happens when it's my turn. I hope as the company grows this will be urgently considered.

This has simplified my practice and greatly reduced my stress. Now I can focus more on my patients.

Pros: The ease of use and ability to access documents from anywhere. I can use this on my phone between sessions to add a note to edit and later. I love that feature

Cons: I cannot call someone live to help me troubleshoot-It would be great to get someone on the phone when I am stuck

Pros: I love being able to schedule appointments, create invoices for clients and keep all my PHI in one place, as well as being able to use a secure portal to send information to clients. The ease of use is awesome and I also love the reminders that keep you up-to-date on everything that needs to be done with every client. It's almost like having a personal assistant to keep you on track. Its great for individuals in private practice, especially someone like me who only does it part-time.

Cons: I wish that you could use other vendors such as square reader for payments. I already had square reader set up and thought it to be too much of a hassle to try to switch over now.

Overall: easy to use, help me get rid of the pen and paper record keeping and saves me lots of time!

Pros: I Like the fact that it's very simple and easy to use. No complicated slides etc. I like that billing and other administrative stuff can be done all together. It makes it very convenient to just focus on the important stuff knowing that the billings could be done just at a click of a button.

Cons: In my opinion there are few things I think could be added:
1. For intakes, I think a psychosocial notes is needed and the current format does not provide that option.
2. There need to be more than 2 options for session (Currently, the software only give option of either individual or couple session). I do family session and groups. Having an option to write note for such is imperative.

Overall: Easy appointment scheduling, Accessibility to billing conveniently. Easy notes.

Pros: Easy to use, FANTASTIC customer support, integrates with Google calendar, lots of customizable features. And everything can be downloaded as PDFs if necessary.

Cons: The software has one major limitation that I am very hopeful will be remedied soon. The software does not allow for billing in units nor for multiple codes in the same session. In my field, if a client is paying out of pocket, we may bill hourly. If we are going through insurance, many of the relevant codes indicate first 30 and each additional 30. The customer service reps have been very helpful in trying to help me find workarounds, but they are messy. I do believe this function will be added soon!

I've had a really nice experience so far in using Simple Practice.

Pros: I like that it's user-friendly and accessible through an app that I can use while meeting with clients.

Overall: Keeping track of my clients, adding information easily, sending reminders, use of documents that I can edit as my own.

Simple Practice has helped me gain even more organization in my business.

Pros: I like the calendar features and the choice of using Simple Practice to further streamline my business by using its billing features.

Cons: I am surprised Simple Practice is not able to translate my calendar to the Google calendar app. It syncs with my calendar on my PC bit I am unable to quickly review my appointments on my Android device.

Overall: It saves me times and helps to increase productivity.

Love it! Very user friendly.

Pros: Everything needed on one site.; scheduling, calendar, email access, client info, necessary paperwork, payment options, client receipts.

Cons: Need to have everything accessible on phone app. I can't access everything I need on my smartphone and would like to be able to because sometimes I don't have my laptop.

The trial period was extremely helpful and it was seamless to transition to a paid subscription.

Pros: Simple Practice has a fairly intuitive, very attractive user interface with many great features. I can do all the basic things I need to run my private practice such as keeping my calendar, adding new clients, writing notes, and tracking my billing. In addition Simple Practice has great additional features like syncing with my Google calendar, customizing all my intake documents and all my client emails which I send through the secure client portal, tracking my insurance payments even though I don't submit claims through the software, and great data metrics,. It's been a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to do everything I need to and even all the features that are available, but the responsive, knowledgeable customer service is a big help. I am extremely happy with the software.

Cons: The interface of the app leaves a lot to be desired. The calendar function is hard to use and the app doesn't do much else. It's difficult to add new appointments quickly on the app when I'm sitting with a patient because of the weird calendar formatting.

Overall: As I expanded my private practice from one day a week to full time I needed a better way to track my expenses than a spread sheet and to schedule and communicate with my patients. Simple Practice has really streamlined all my processes and I discover new things it can do all the time. I would never have been able to expand my practice to successfully and smoothly without it.

I have had on-going insurance enrollment and payer reports since I started with Simple Practice.

Pros: It works relatively well if you have mostly direct pay clients or accept only a couple of insurances. It also works well if you have very few tech problems, your are pretty "techy" and industry knowledgeable to begin with, and you are ok with short answer email responses to any questions you might have.

Cons: There is no one to call. Even if you email asking for a phone call, they won't talk to you. Their customer support consists of sending you video and article links about how to do things. Or emailing you back and forth over the period of weeks or even months. However, if you have an actual, real-time problem, that cannot be fixed by watching a video, and requires someone to actually get on a phone and figure out what is going on- forget it. Your accounts will be hopelessly upside down, which is anything but simple! For example: insurance enrollments or payer reports that require immediate technical support, forget it. They will email you back and forth for months telling you that they submitted to have the problem fixed, as if that fixed your problem. Or they will answer you without addressing the whole problem. If you accept and/or bill multiple insurance companies, keep moving. Simple Practice is not the answer. It's too difficult to move your entire operation to another EHR once you have completely set up with Simple Practice and then you find out months later that there are no "simple" fixes when you have legitimate insurance problems.

Overall: It is simple with respect to face validity. You can navigate around pretty easily without making serious or irreversible mistakes that many of us fear with the technical aspects of EHRs.

Pros: So far I've only input my client base and set up my schedule. So far that's been easy to use. I need to customize my intake forms, which I am very excited about can all be completed paperless

Cons: I don't like that there isn't a way to schedule a couple or family as a client. I m a little wary about how easy it will be to get clients to complete the intake forms on their own, but the concept of being completely paperless is very exciting.

Pros: I love the ability to dictate notes. It has made life so much easier! I can use my cell phone microphone right after a session, which is a huge help.

Cons: It seems a little tedious to set up the custom client forms and portal. I'm still learning how to do this.

Overall: The ability to dictate notes super fast!

Pros: I love all the built in features for writing notes and billing is a breeze. I also appreciate how easy it is to watch a video or read an article to answer questions as they come up.

Cons: I wish there was a fee option for budding practicitioners. I know that this tool will be increasingly useful as my practice grows, but it's quite a bit of money to spend when you only have a few clients, and I've considered cancelling my subscription simply for that reason. Also, it seems most useful for folks who take insurance.

Pros: The simplicity of setting it up and easy access to answers when I need them. I like the ease of forms and notes templates. The entire program is very easy to figure out and set up, saving me valuable time and energy.

Cons: Cost.
Linking it to stripe is also an inconvenience because I already have square and would rather use that.

Pros: I was able to get up and running without much hassle due to the programs ease-of-use. I absolutely love the client templates that are sent out at every stage of the process. They're well written and offer my practice an air of professionalism. Also customer service has been quick to respond, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. One other thing I love is the client portal where clients can sign in, fill out important paperwork, and immediately and automatically be sent informed consent documents. It's seamless and make sure that I cover all the necessary bases with ease.

Cons: My least favorite aspect of the program is that it requires the use of stripe for credit card processing. Although it works great, I might have preferred to have been given the choice between stripe, square etc. Also working in the calendar has been a little confusing for me but I see that they just added a "simple booking widget" that I have not tried yet. It looks like that might solve those problems.

Overall: I'm just starting a new practice and it immediately got me up and running with professionalism.

Pros: I just stated using SimplePractice for my small private practice that I started. I really like the ease of being able to see my appointments on the calendar, and being able to click right on the appointment to create the note. I also really like that SimplePractice keeps track of billing, for instance if a client does not pay me the co-pay at the session. I also like that SimplePractice offered me tech support right away and was happy to set up a phone call with them for extra support.

Cons: I like the e-mails with the schedule, but since I am only meeting with clients two days a week I would prefer to get the schedule e-mails only when I have clients in my schedule.

Pros: Simplicity and ease of use. Everything just makes sense. I have looked at 8 other products and kept coming back to simple practice because of easy integration, awesome tools, straight forward approach and the best price.

Cons: None! I have been continuously impressed with what they have to offer and the increditable team! Only one suggestion would be to have a more detailed and thorough intake questionnaire. I do comprehensive diagnostic assessments all the time and would love to have something similar to type client data directly into.

Overall: Multiple clinician access, client data storage, billing, scheduling, reports, file sharing.

Pros: It is very comprehensive. This system provides so many diverse functions on one platform. I can take care of billing, scheduling, payments, and HIPPA compliant communication all in one place.

Cons: Currently, there is not anything that I do not like about the software. I have only been using it for a month.

Pros: Everything is taken care of , from setting up appointments, having clients come the intake forms to regulate documentation of progress notes and treatment plans

Cons: It doesn't have an initial psychiatric evaluation document for my initial evaluation with a client
Yes I can make one up but it is a hassle and I do not know how to tag it on to my clients file/chart

Pros: Having everything on one platform. Being able to email client portal access with intake paperwork and statements. Ease of billing and note completion. Great customer support!!

Cons: Inability to choose exact session time on mobile app, such as 1:50pm because it only allows 15 minute increments even though the website lets you schedule tonthe exact minute.

Overall: Helps me run my practice efficiently without needing multiple products for notes, billing, scheduling etc.

Pros: It's easy to use and keeps my practice organized. I love the features of being able to bill right from the program.

Cons: You can't do everything on the App. I tried adding insurance information on the App and I could not. I also tried to send my client forms from the App.

Pros: The structure of the webpage. It is easy to navagate and I love the calendar and scheduling . I also like that with a click I make the billing .

Cons: I would like that the app would have all the features that I used in the software . For example I really will appreciate if the format I created for my progress notes is available and accessible through my phone.

Overall: Im going completely paperless. I live that it keeps me organized and everything in within one software.

Pros: Loving the ease of scheduling with syncing function across my calendars, and ease of writing progress notes.

Cons: Some of the icons used within the program are a little confusing, make it difficult to know the functions associated.

Overall: Overall reduction in stress from knowing I am well organized, which I anticipate will also mean I lose less revenue!

Pros: It's very user friendly. When I had a problem with one of my signature pages, customer service got back to me very quickly.

Cons: Initially, I had some difficulty navigating the site. The difficulty has been remedied with my increased familiarity with the site.

Pros: It makes sense. Forms can be customized to fit practice needs. Calendar display is easy to read and set up. Client portal features are wonderful. Simple Practice has the features I want at an affordable cost per month. Seriously, it is simple.

Cons: Setting up the customized forms is time consuming. Uploaded pdfs cannot have e-signature option added. It would be nice to have more templates to select from as options.

Pros: I love everything about it! I especially love that everything is in one place from scheduling to billing. I have ADD and have been wanting to go paperless and simply my life starting with my practice. I have clients sign intake forms on an iPad and upload them straight to Simple Practice. I love the reminders. Nothing falls through the cracks. I used to do my super bills and invoices manually, but not anymore! Simple Practice automatically generates those in seconds. Much more professional and streamlined. And payments are so simple! I love the phone app. My clients are loving the client portal. Thanks to SP, everything is running smoothly, just short of running itself.

Cons: Some features are lacking. I wish they had an iPhone app. However, they take suggestions from subscribers and continually add new features, so what's lacking could be just around the corner. Another con is that (to my knowledge) you can't request the same customer service individual so that can be frustrating for follow up.

Overall: More time, more organized, able to do notes quickly, more professional appearance.

Pros: Lots of good supporting videos, etc. Copy forward notes. Easily add new clients. It is well laid out. Like having an e-record.

Cons: I just want to set up appointments and write notes. Would like to send out reminders, and so far this feature doesn't work. All the billing stuff gets in my way and is annoying. I can't call a live human. Wait time for questions to be answered has been very long.

Pros: Our group likes keeping things paper free (for the most part) by completing intakes, chart notes, contact notes, and initial paperwork online. It saves us time when parents can do paperwork online and we don't have to worry about them mailing in forms or taking time to fill them out in the room with us. Secure messaging makes it easy to touch base with clients and assist with scheduling. Online scheduling reduces our time spent on the phone to reschedule folks. It's great to be able to keep everything in one place whether it's designed in the SP templates, or we upload our own stuff, it's still all right there.

Cons: The group features could use a little love. We have interns in our practice, and currently, they are not able to send notes to the supervisor without locking them (which means they are no longer able to edit). This feature would save us time (we found a workaround but it does take effort). Also, the administrator has to turn on/off secure messaging and it would be great for clinicians to be able to make these choices. The treatment plan is also not customizable and the format currently used does not meet our needs. It takes extra time to upload treatment plans (as we do not use the SP version) however at least we have that capability!

Overall: It saves our practice time, less money spent on office supplies, and easy chart organization.

Pros: I like having all of my case notes and financial records in one place. Completing all paperwork on the computer has even helped me stay more current on my record-keeping.

Cons: It has been a little challenging to learn the calendar system, but I am starting to get used to it. Syncing with my google calendar caused some problems at first.

Pros: The client portal is a great feature. Another is the calendar that allows clients to book their own sessions. Credit card processing is integrated into the system as well.

Cons: There isn't much to dislike. I'd like phone support but that would drive the cost up. Setting up insurance is a bit tedious in the beginning.

Overall: It's all in one - client database, billing, record keeping, communication, insurance processing, and credit card processing are all in the product.

Pros: I like having everything in one place - notes, schedule, financial info., etc. I like that my clients can schedule online. I like the look of the site - clean and bright. It was a learning curve that I was reluctant to start on but now that I'm more used to the layout, I like being able to find everything I need.

Cons: The cost is a little high but I like that I can send and receive messages which lower priced competitors don't offer. I wish the phone app would offer more of what the desktop version does so I could use it in my office (where I don't have a computer). I wish it was easier to use for couples counseling rather than combining two individuals. I have yet to try out the insurance claims...

Overall: I like feeling (and being) more organized and I know that years of overflowing filing cabinets aren't in my future anymore. I love that clients pay me automatically after a session without having to deal with that in the office or remembering to send them an invoice.

Pros: 1) Being able to send intake and consent forms to my clients and not having to upload or hold onto paper documents. 2) How easy it was to learn to use - the video tutorials were very helpful. 3) Auto-pay and the ability to integrate Stripe. 4) The interface between the calendar and client information.

Cons: I wish that there were more templates for intake forms, particularly an intake form for children and adolescents. I also wish there were some changes to the note templates. It would be nice to have a simpler note template that also had some checkboxes but the note template with checkboxes is very complicated and detailed.

Overall: tax write-offs, save time

Pros: I love the simplicity, the client portal with online form completion, and insight tab. I also love the option of personalizing your forms to be completed by patients in the portal.

Cons: My only suggestion would be an improvement to the insurance part. I had some issues looking up insurance providers. With that said, when I contacted support I was able to figure it out.

Pros: The notes are amazing. It allows you to customize and you can even write them on your phone. Truly helpful. I also love the reminders to do notes as well as the integrated appointment reminders for clients.

Cons: The Billing and the lack of voice support. I think I will have to switch. It makes me sad because i love the notes but the errors on billing insurance and the difficulty fixing it and understanding will be the breaking point. I so wish they would revamp their insurance billing.

Pros: I love how the entire experience feels like it is tailored to the exact kind of work that I do. It is clear that the team behind Simplepractice uses their own product.

Cons: I love the idea of a secure messaging center, but its current implementation makes establishing contact with new clients difficult. I also wish there was something more like email rather than a text message for communicating with clients.

Additionally, it would be great to have some group therapy templates to be able to set up and monitor group process and individuals within the group.

Pros: The customizable documentation/forms and easy user interface are absolutely awesome. I have used other similar products inferior to Simple Practice in these areas, and these two areas make all the difference in the world to me.

Cons: I actually do not have a need for using some of the things that are included, so I suppose being able to have an even more basic option for a lower monthly fee would be great. Even the simplest option is more complex than what I need!

Pros: I love how easy writing notes is in Simple Practice, and enjoy how integrated it is. I'm still learning and exploring all the features, but I'm excited at how much functionality there is! It seems like therapists really did contribute to the creation of the software: it's very mindful of our needs.

Cons: I would like it if different payment platforms (PayPal, etc.) could be connected to my account. Also, it would be really nice if there was a discount for us pre-licensed folks who are really just getting started and could use the break. :)

Overall: It's less for me to think about and manage on my own. There's enough on my plate that that is a huge benefit!

Pros: The best thing about SimplePractice so far is having all of my practice management software in one place. I find it extremely convenient to be able to have a paperless office and to be able to house my client files and paperwork, my calendar, and my billing all in one place. I know there are a lot of other features that will help me manage my practice, but I have not yet explored those. I'm looking forward to using all functions of the software.

Cons: There isn't anything I do not like as of yet, as I am a new customer. However, there is a lot to learn, which has probably been my least favorite part of the process. Learning the software, while establishing clients and all the other things I need to do for my new practice has been a lot of work!

Overall: Ease of organizing all of my practice paperwork.

Pros: Simplepractice is well organized and gives a great overall snapshot of what is happening both with your practice as a whole, as well as with each individual client. I am definitely more organized and efficient with my charting. I am also very impressed with the customizable automation available. After spending a little time with other similar programs, choosing to stay with Simplepractice was an easy choice!

Cons: Just waiting for Wiley treatment planner and progress note integration. Also, it is very minor but I would also like to see a bit more customization possible for notes and forms.

Cons: Sometimes I have to click in a lot of different places to find what I am looking for. As I become more familiar with it, it has become less of an issue but some of the labels for tabs are not intuitive.

Overall: Easy to use for the most part. Online schedule is a lifesaver for me. Client portal in general is such a nice touch that I think makes me look more professional and saves me so much time.

Pros: The EASE of the calendar (entering in clients takes less than 30 seconds). The actual session notes are super easy to enter in as well. I love how fast the software works - there are never any hiccups or delays. I also appreciate the customization of the forms and the appointment reminders.

Cons: I wish there was a way to customize it more for dietitians. I would love to be able to see a graphic of my clients' weight or BMI info. If you could have two tracks - one for therapists and one for dietitians, I think you would get a lot of dietitians buying your software.

Overall: I love that it's an easy way to manage my calendar and also enter in session notes.

Pros: I can upload my own documents and change the forms to my preferences. I can add clinicians, billing specialist, The app is very user friendly too!

Cons: Would benefit from having adding features for family therapy, and I believe they are going to be adding features to make adding treatment goals easier- which I am excited about!

Pros: I like these ease of making treatment plans and navigating the site. It would great to use drop down options for the treatment plan to help with our notes. Over all really good product.

Cons: The app could have more functions. There is no live customer service option. I also wish I could add my own merchant for payments.

Pros: User friendly, good menus for things that help navigate, pretty clear in terms of the big things you'd use it for.

Cons: Less clear about the little things you'd use it for.... takes some time to figure out little things, like where sub-sections or tasks are hiding. I also wish that the calendar was not "light gray" on "white" as the color contrast for setting apart blocked off time on your scheduler from what's actually on your schedule. This is silly and makes it very hard for me to integrate the time I've set aside on my scheduler available to clients to self-schedule, with my client schedule.

Overall: Organization, automated client emails, billing capabilities.

Pros: I like that I can set up my case notes to automatically be in the DAP format, and it is easy to schedule clients.

Cons: My iPad keyboard requires that my tablet be in landscape orientation, which is a complete mess with the SP app. I find myself constantly having to reposition my iPad in order to access certain screens, buttons, or even view my page so it's not sideways.

Pros: This EMR is easy and straightforward to use for a practitioner just starting out. The scheduling features and automatic billing statements are a breeze. I'm very please with the extra investment so far

Pros: Easy to use. The app is fabulous! I've tested a few by now and this is the best one. Good visibility. Nice to use. Excellent client service. Customer service is perfect, they take consideration of clients suggestions. If you want something easy going and secure and an excellent team of client service this is an excellent choice.

Cons: To customize (reminders and documents) you have to pay more. It would be nice if they added a print calendar feature.

Overall: I was able to manage my practice more easily.

Pros: Design is basically user friendly and attractive. I liked the client portal and the reminders. I very much like the ability to do my intake via the client portal. The connection with Stripe is good. I like doing notes with this program.

Cons: Non-existant customer service. To the point that I'm considering canceling my subscription. If the client portal doesn't work--then what are you paying for? There is not an email or phone number for technical assistance. If you have a problem, they just send you emails about videos to watch. No responsibility for their program if it has a glitch. I'll be happy to change my review if someone will add a more user friendly way to get technical assistance.

Overall: The software is not bad. The problem is that if you have a problem with it, there is no help. Right now the client portal is not showing all my available times to clients. This is a huge problem, because it makes clients think that I'm full when I'm not. I understand that sometimes there are troubles, but my real frustration with the company is that they don't have a good system for technical assistance. I've been requesting help with this for a week and have gotten nothing. That's bad!

Pros: Really like the customizable paperwork and calendar features. I really like how using the software makes my practice seem more professional to clients - especially being able to complete paperwork electronically.

Cons: I have found it a little difficult to navigate the site initially - it didn't take too long to get the hang of it, but there was some extra time spent trying to figure things out. Also, I was not pleased with only having email support for needing help with features. I found it took longer than I wished to get a response back initially and then we had to email back and forth. Would have been much faster to be able to talk to someone on the phone or via a chat service.

Pros: The software is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. The feasibility is intuitive although adding enrollments to insurance panes in the system could be a bit easier. While being in a client chart, I attempted to file an insurance claim and got stuck. Seems like I will be needing to use a webinar training.

Cons: I would like to be able to add insurance detailing through the APP. Right now I can see the self pay or insurance, but I can't actually add the details on the APP. Then if I could it would be great to send a claim all through my phone APP! That's would be amazing!

Pros: I appreciate being able to send documents directly to my clients via the client portal. I also enjoy having my documents all uploaded to the system and the forms/templates that SimplePractice gives to you is extremely helpful. I began my practice using SimplePractice and the structure/ease of this program saved me from a lot of headaches. I also LOVE that billing/invoices have all been made easy for me. Additionally, any questions I have asked customer service, have been answered in a timely manner.

Cons: I wish there was a way to send my documents to multiple email addresses (i.e. if I'm seeing a child, I would like to send the information to both parents and the child). Also, it would be nice if I were able to format the documents I do send out to the family so it is easier on the eyes (i.e. Notice of Privacy Practices, Informed Consent, etc.). I just started using this program a month ago so I have not used it to it's full advantage.

Overall: It is easy to use, user friendly, and I am able to go straight to the portal and immediately work with my clients/document notes.

Pros: I've only been using it for two weeks, but it is a lot easier to use than my previous system. What sold me was the ability to dictate progress notes my phone, and intuitiveness of the system in general.

Cons: The billing balance screen is very hard to understand. Answer not tied directly to individual sessions, so it looks like it's going to be very hard to track whether specific sessions are being paid for by insurance and whether the Insurance companies are sending the correct discounts. I've had a lot of problems with insurers sending duplicate discounts, and it's going to be hard to tell with her that's happening given that you can't organize payments by session.

Overall: Ease-of-use, features that are more relevant clinical psychologists, as opposed to psychiatrists.

Pros: The ease of use is great, it provides forms and documents which are useful in practice. The integrated billing is fantastic, I love not having to fumble with credit cards in my office.

Cons: I wish the client portal had more functions. I want clients to be able to see their upcoming appointments without me needing to enable online booking. I dont like that it has all the notifications about certain things (like notes, billing, etc.) that I am unable to turn off.

Pros: I like that I can have all my forms, notes, intake, billing and scheduling in 1 platform. I also thing that the ability to customize forms is very is helpful and makes it easy to use.

Cons: I have been unhappy about the formatting abilities of the online forms. I have some patients that are overwhelmed with trying to complete intake paperwork online and I would like to be able to simply print the forms from this platform, however the formatting is not compatable with Microsoft Word nor was the formatting compatable when I trying up copy and paste existing forms into the platform initially. I would like the ability to add custom type ie bold, underline, font size, italics in order to break up and make the sometimes lengthy forms easier to read.

Overall: Ease of having everything for a small private practice in 1 platform.

Pros: I like how interconnected everything is, from the billing, to insurance, and calendar. It is easy to manage as a therapist and allows me to focus more on the work that I love to do.

Cons: I'm still learning it so it is hard to identifying anything that I'm not liking yet. The one thing that has come up is that if clients miss the button to enter their insurance on the client page, they can't go back in and add it so I have to end up inputting that information. It would be nice if clients could access that to make any insurance changes they need.

Pros: It is customizable. I've used other programs in the past, and I felt like they were for CBT therapists only. With this program, its extremely inclusive, is easy to use, and makes my life easier when it comes to billing. Overall I really like the product. I can't think of any changes off the top of my head. It is affordable, easy to use and doesn't bias towards CBT.

Pros: I LOVE not having paper files. This software feels modern, easy to use and I do not have to worry about security issues. I can add clients, make notes and put appointments on my calendar very quickly and easily. I think this will save me a lot of time and effort in the long run.

Cons: I have only used SimplePractice for one month, and so far have not found anything I do not like. The formatting got a little weird when I pasted a template into a note, but that is to be expected.

Overall: I love having entirely online records.

Pros: I love the reminder messages that are sent to my clients prior to their sessions. This has cut down in no-shows.

Cons: The app format. I would like to be able to view client paperwork in the app. Also, when making appointments on the app, the date defaults to the current day, even when I previously clicked on a future date-it would be better for it to remain that date that I was viewing when adding a new appointment.

Pros: Ease of use! I've tried three other popular services and this one beats them all. I love that the app is available on my phone. I have been able to register new clients immediately and I am so glad my clients can now make their own appointments if they chose to.
Haven't found a con yet. I am still learning the software but it is the most intuitive software I've come across yet.

Overall: Ease of use! I previously had paid subscriptions to Therapy Notes, Theranest, and one other software that wasn't that memorable as I tried to find the right fit for me.

Pros: Allll the functions and features I was trying to piecemeal together are in one easy-to-use place!!!

Cons: The price - a bit high for starting out my therapy practice, and I feel vulnerable - that they might raise the price and also that the data will be unsafe somehow for my clients. Also I feel like I want all my clients visible on the left side of my screen - able to scroll through vs. just who i've looked at most recently.

Pros: I like having an app, creating online forms, sending superbills to clients through software, and easily collecting payments

Cons: I wish there was an "all normal" button you could click on notes when describing patient presentation

Pros: SimplePractice is user-friendly and exceptionally easy to set-up and maintain! It helps to get all aspects of a clinical practice (billing, scheduling, notes) organized quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this software to all clinicians.

Cons: Ideally, multiple note templates would be included in the basic package. Otherwise, the software is truly excellent.

Overall: Quick, easy, organized, comprehensive!

Pros: I like being able to get electronic signatures on intakes and writing my own templates for notes. I like the ease of learning the new system.

Cons: I don't like putting new insurance in especially Medicaid because I worry it may not be compatible as I had that difficulty with my previous EMR. I am hopeful though

Pros: The customer support is very helpful and they respond quickly! Everything is easy to navigate and read. I like that it is HIPPA compliant.

Cons: I just began using the software and so far, I have not had any issues. I guess I wish it was less expensive, though!

Overall: Efficiency in note taking and knowing that records are safe.

Pros: -easy to use
-easy to understand
-covers all of my needs with clients
-helpful tutorials

Cons: -have not really encountered anything yet, but I suppose at times it is a little complex regarding billing, but I think I am figuring it out. I don't think that is necessarily a fault of the software, but more my lack of knowledge, as I am unfamiliar with software and practices like this.

Overall: -perfect for my needs and my practice

Pros: I like the link to a credit card that is encrypted. This is going to greatly benefit me and reduce the amount of lost revenue. I also like that it sends my reminders out .

Cons: I have not found any cons so far in using the program. It feels like overall the program is going to very much benefit my business.

Pros: It has everything I need in one package and includes easy to use templates for me to get started right away.

Cons: Me. :) I'm not a "natural" computer user and am running the helpdesk ragged. They are being very helpful and very good sports.

Pros: Invoicing, note taking, appointment management are all easily accessible and integrated in one system. Clients love the appointment reminders.

Cons: The software is geared toward American practitioners it seems, so some of the features are not as well suited to Canadians.

Pros: I can schedule, do payments, keep my forms, and do all my notes all in one place, with no added printing and paperwork.

Cons: I can't think of anything. I have enjoyed most of the software and how it works for my practice. There are many aspects that I do not use but thats been ok

Pros: I feel like each headache I've encountered in private practice, especially in the initial set-up of documents and managing client information has been addressed with Simple Practice. It feels easy so far and I keep discovering new ways to use features. I'm excited to learn more.

Cons: It does feel a bit daunting at first. The videos are helpful but could be a little more entertaining. Honestly, so far I haven't found much to complain about!

Overall: Ease of use, clarity, and new ways to conquer old problems.

Pros: I really like the ease of the scheduling application and how it pushes to my current calendar with non-identifying info, the client portal and ability to have forms reviewed, and approved prior to first sessions, basic progress notes plus its' ability to be customizable. And submits claims!

Cons: I struggled a bit to understand the workflow of the intake but after reading up on the help docs, I was able to quickly figure it out.

Pros: I love that everything is interconnected and has the capacity to be personalized. There is a great deal of support and clear, short videos to walk you through the process.

Cons: That you can't upload PDF forms directly to get filled out and the forms are hard to customize without taking a lot of time.

Pros: I like that the schedule is linked to my google calendar and that I can do all my billing in 1 place. I also like that I can customize notes and treatment plans. This helps streamline all my notes.

Cons: Since I work with children, this program is not user-friendly when it comes to having more than 1 person be able to sign paperwork. It is also confusing how to enter all the insurance information for the minor and subscriber. When testing out the program, it seemed as if clients are only able to receive text or email reminders if they sign up for it on their end, which is not ideal. I would like to be able to securely text or email clients without having to go through the portal.

Overall: Overall, I am happy with Simple Practice. I like that the schedule is linked to my google calendar and that I can do all my billing in 1 place. I also like that I can customize notes and treatment plans. This helps streamline all my notes.

Pros: Being able to store my client's credit cards, send my client my own informed consent, see my schedule on my iPhone calendar, appointment reminders and keeping track of my income.

Cons: I'm not sure I am able to send HIPAA compliant emails other than the initial email or for invoicing. Although maybe there is a way to do this?
