Pros: Simple Practice helps me organize my work, keeps track of billing, I can access and do notes from my smart phone, and overall this system simplifies my practice!

Cons: i have not found a way to bill in increments of 15 minutes and have it charge that way. i would like to be able to add multiple products on the invoice but the options disappear

Pros: Easy to use, simple and clear visual appeal. The library of forms is very useful and helpful. I like the colors and layout of screens and LOVE the daily agenda sent to my email.

Cons: I'd like to see more intake forms to choose from (for example, for children and adolescents) as well as sample or easy to edit informed consent forms and explanations of counseling procedures and services for clients.

Pros: I like the convenience of scheduling, calendar management, pre-made emails which can be edited as I choose, custom intakes and progress notes, and ability to use Stripe as well.

Cons: I had a stiff learning curve as I tried to become familiar with the software, had a hard time finding things I needed within it, I made many mistakes, etc. After getting over that learning period and learning from my mistakes, I am feeling much better about managing my practice with SimplePractice. Now that I know where everything is and how things work, how to make the custom forms myself (good thing I was sick over the holidays so I could spend hours and hours working on them), etc., I know that the hard part is over! I am looking forward to a smooth experience going forward with my new practice. I will attend some of the free classes as new issues pop up which I may feel confused about.

Overall: SimplePractice is my partner is starting my new private practice. I am glad to be starting off paperless and to have everything I need in one place -- notes, billing, forms, scheduling, etc. I appreciate the good price as well!

Pros: The array of features makes Simple Practice a true practice management suite - not just an EHR. So far, it has been very easy to learn. I like being able to customize my forms. The one-to-one video call was very helpful as the rep was knowledgeable and professional.

Pros: The ease of online scheduling for my clients is a driving factor in my satisfaction with this product. I was also pleased with the ease of signing up for a Stripe account and how that service interacts with the program seamlessly to allow me to easily accept credit cards. When I had an issue with understanding how to use the scheduling section efficiently, the customer service by email was fast, friendly and efficient.

Cons: A little tricky to navigate all the details, although customer service was great the one time I asked for it.

Just committed to the system after a short free trial. Most of the features are very user friendly

Pros: Android app for providers, easy to use client portal, and an interface or GUI that makes using the SimplePractice system easy.

Cons: The interface with my google calendar could work a little bit better. I would like to be able to schedule non-practice events in my google calendar and have it block out the times if the busy option is checked. To do it now you have to use the SimplePractice calendar in google and your colors and location are are not kept on the google calendar page.

I can live with it this way and schedule from SP but it could work the way I want it to and be better.

Overall: Manage my hypnosis practice

Simple Practice is intuitive and provides the services I need to be HIPAA compliant and efficient.

Pros: Customer service -Michael was quick to respond and very helpful in guiding me to customize my usage.

Cons: I was unable to upload my intake and have it be writeable. I would prefer a lower cost, but the pricing is competitive.

Overall: HIPAA compliant communication, online booking, client portal with offering templates for initiating counseling to be completed online prior to first session, invoices and billing, tax records,electronic insurance claim submission, customized electronic records, and ability to send and store self created documents securely.

Great experience ! My patients are already complimenting the mobile alerts!

Cons: There were some additional templates centered around other specialties. I am providing ketamine Infusions for mental health do my needs are a bit different.

Pros: Pleasant interface. Clients like the client portal and find it interesting. The calendaring is probably the most helpful so far. Also billing moves along and reminds you who needs to be billed and who has paid.

Cons: That we can't link paypal, Square POS, Venmo. Nobody I know uses Stripe or whatever the pay portal is that SimplePractice uses. This means most of my billing has to be entered manually. Streamlining billing was one of my major motivations but SP fails on that account.

Overall: Simplified, partially automated scheduling.

It's streamlined note taking and scheduling.

Pros: The capacity to quickly create a superbill saves time. I love the drop down menu for note taking. It's enhanced my life greatly!

Cons: I'd love to have a bookkeeping feature. And the capacity to bill without being charged an additional cost.

Pros: appearance and ease of navigation - the customer service has been excellent, and I am encouraged that they are planning to add telehealth capability

Cons: price is challenging as a therapist, but I am hoping that the price will be be made worthwhile with the increased ease of running the practice

Overall: better ability to manage multiple areas of my practice

Pros: The ease of scheduling and providing access to my clients to schedule their appointments. Also, the ability to be on top of my billing and note taking. Accessibility of creating my own forms for signature. Having the affordable prices to add additional therapist in a future. The option to add forms and easily send them to my clients' portal. I like the idea of secure messaging. Overall, the flow and feel of the software is great compared to others.

Cons: Nothing. Hands down the best. I did not have any problems with the software. Maybe include a journaling section on the client portal for therapists and clients to review in session.

Overall: The ease of scheduling and getting my clients set up for treatment.

I've been using simple practice for about a month. Overall, it has been a great tool for my practice

Pros: I like that it has streamlined many aspects of running my business that were taking me a lot of extra time.

Cons: There are minor aspects I wish were different, including some difficulty finding certain documents on clients and not being able to do a form that is fillable and signable.

Pros: I like how easy it is to see all my client progress notes, demographics, treatment plans, and billing info all in one secure online platform. Being able to bill directly to insurance companies and to track payments is the main reason that I signed up for the service. Plus the ability for clients to sign forms online is a real benefit.

Cons: I hope that in the future Simple Practice will update it's mobile app to include customized progress note templates, treatment plans, and contact notes. In addition, it would be great to be able to bill for a home visit with one click that would populate the client's address in the CMS 1500 form.

Pros: Just beginning to use it, but haven't actually utilized with a real client yet. However, I hear from fellow friends that use it, that they love it. I imagine once I really get going with clients, I may find it easy too.

Cons: The forms and document section confuses me, as some of the forms are actually under the client portal tab.

Pros: I like how many functions SP offers and how easy it is to navigate. I like how many emails and forms are pre-populated so I can just review and change as needed. The forms and emails are easy to change.

Cons: It has taken me a bit to figure out how to do everything. I am struggling a bit with the mobile app on my phone. I cannot figure out how to get SP to show my personal appointments that I enter in google mail.

Overall: Easy to use, safer than using paper documents, overall will save me time in my practice

Pros: The fact that everything is in one place! While it's taking me awhile to maneuver around, I'm figuring it out and loving it!

Cons: I would like 24/7 customer support to help me out when I need it and to explain it more easily! I have trouble understanding some things, like invoicing and billing because I am completely new as a private practitioner. More help in that area would be appreciated!

Pros: I love that my focus of practice can be on my clients, and not around paperwork, record keeping, compliance, etc. Simple practice does the thinking for me!

Cons: I find the billing piece a bit unintuitive. I have had to sort through credits, and refunds and the platform doesn't feel easy in this realm.

Overall: I don't have to think so much! I don't have to guess so much! I feel supported in my practice by thinkers and therapists who have gone before me. A great thing to have!

Customer service was attentive and timely in response.

Pros: The professional and simplistic look of the program. The software guides you through inputting data which makes it easier to use overall.

Cons: There wasn't anything that I didn't like, it is just a different setup than my last program so I had to figure out where everything was but the software takes you through the process so it's easy to catch on.

Overall: Easy and quick billing, organized and safe client info, and format of print outs is easy to read.

Simple Practice has revolutionized my experience of managing my practice on the back end.

Pros: I feel more confident interacting with clients regarding my ability to provide a professional and streamlined experience during our work together. I spend a lot less time managing papers and it's easier to keep track of my schedule and progress.

Cons: I would like more functionality while using the phone app. I would also like the capacity to share a live (editable over time) document with my clients rather than saving each draft and uploading it to their file.

Pros: So far, I'm enjoyed the ability to share documents with clients and have all demographic information directly embedded into the client profile. I appreciate the templates that are provided for policies and informed consent. I received a basic introduction from a support person and she has answered any relevant questions in a timely manner via email. I'm looking forward to using the automatic billing.
I also love the app where I can keep up with notes and billing and check my schedule without having to bring my computer to my office.

Cons: Since I'm new to the service, I'm having to spend a lot of time figuring out all of the features that are available to me. Other than than, I've been pretty happy so far.

Overall: Organization for my practice. Everything in one spot and fast, efficient insurance billing.

Pros: The interface is easy to use, clean lines make it look very professional, it is easy to know how your calendar is laid out.

Cons: I wish it was a little less expensive, but compared to other software, it is comparable. I just don't have a lot of startup income!

Pros: Helpful tutorials and great customer support. It offers an organized and streamlined software that simply makes my life easier, while also helping me learn the ropes in the process. The billing and insurance features are so helpful and the cost is incredibly reasonable. Having all of the forms and documentation in one place is amazing. I've found the online portal to be a helpful tool in allowing my clients to show up for their first session with all of the paperwork out of the way.

Cons: I am not particularly tech savvy, so there is still a technology learning curve. I also wish SimplePractice had a phone line service instead of just email, but I'm still getting my questions answered.

Overall: This software saves time and paper. It allows me to be organized and hipaa compliant.

Cons: I'm a bit spooked by the comments in my FB group practice forum. A lot of people preferred Theranest and Theranotes. So I'm hoping the issues brought up in that group are being addressed by SP

Pros: I like that all my billing and scheduling is on one place and that i can plug other non-client events/appointments into my calendar.

Cons: It was hard for me to figure out some of the features at first. I had to make a fake person with my email address to make sure everything was working and it took me a lot of trial and error as far as Client emails go and a variety of templates. I don't love stripe- their percentage seems to be higher than square and is higher than another system- card points.

Pros: That is paperless and allows for invoices and superbills. Allows for scheduling and insurance information.

Cons: They charged me for an entire year when I signed-up monthly! Then they said they credited the money to my account, but now I have credit rather than a reimbursement! And when I wrote to ask about this, nobody responded!

Pros: So far I like the insurance EOB component, and how easy that is. Also the templates for notes. I find it much easier to stay consistent with the drop down menus.

Cons: I would like all your videos for training in a list so I can find them easily. It would be great to see examples of templates others have created.

Overall: Much easier, time saver, can get on phone app, and I'm just very impressed with the clean look and feel of it.

Pros: So far it has everything I need. It takes a little bit to get to know the software, but the help topics are really helpful and you can easily search for answers. I love knowing it's HIPPA compliant and also love the ability to easy sync calendars and your website so clients can book online.

Cons: The forms are not able to be modified as much as I'd like, in terms of formatting. I assumed I'd have all my paperwork via the online portal, but I can't format the Intake Questionnaire as much as I'd like or adjust the signature templates on forms enough to make that my primary means of paperwork

Pros: App is available for simple practice which makes it easy to write notes when I am not in front of a computer. Competitors don't have apps available and that's the main reason I chose Simple Practice. For most of the features it's straightforward and easy to use.

Cons: There's not a feature where you can keep track of clients' number of sessions you have, so it's easier for clients that have authorized numbers of visits.

Overall: organization is the key!

Pros: The interface is aesthetically pleasing. The features seem well integrated. I have choices about how detailed to get with my EMR.

Cons: I've run into a couple small glitches (which may be the result of user error), but I haven't seen anything about it I don't like yet.

Pros: the calendar synchs with google calendar, there is a way to have new clients upload documents to the portal which saves paperwork

Cons: There isn't a way to have clients confirm their appts with this software, so reminders are sent but no verification of receipt or agreement

Overall: reminders sent and place to put notes that saves paper

Pros: Very user-friendly and clear interface. Attractive web interaction for clients. Wonderful customer service and webinars for clinicians who are transferring over.

Cons: There are some small glitches, such as not being able to create an electronic signature on superbills, but the staff is very responsive and works to improve the software when they receive feedback.

Pros: Ease of use, design, time savings, autogeneration of super bills, appointment reminders, easy tracking of client payments, going ¿green¿ (paperless), ability to send intake forms to clients electronically, progress note template options, ability to store practice documents.

Cons: Not as customizable as I¿d prefer, not compatible with Mac Calendar so I had to transition to Google Calendar, the online clients scheduling feature is useless since the SimplePractice calendar stores only your practice appointments but doesn¿t pull your ¿life¿ appointments from your Google Calendar, the inability to incorporate my current credit card processing company, lack of ability to put my logo on many client communications, appointment reminder sent via text have very a very odd and unprofessional appearance that can¿t be changed.

Pros: I really like how easy this software is to use. I can put my clients into the software, manage my appointments, bill or create invoices and easily write notes.

Cons: The calendar function was a little complicated and the forms are good but it would be nice to be able to customize them a little more.

Overall: Super easy to run my practice and provide credit card billing and easy invoicing. I love it!

Pros: The main appeal for me was the security and confidence this product offers - around communicating with clients and making sure all the "boxes" are checked with regard to forms, notes and payments. I like how organized I feel now - with all that information in one place, rather than in 3 or 4 places. This software has made my practice more thorough and solid - I don't feel afraid anymore that I'm missing something vital. And as Clinical Director of a group practice, I'm able to track my employees' appointments and client interactions with much more accuracy, which equals more reassurance for me!

Overall: Security, completeness, reassurance, confidence, extraordinary sense of organization

Pros: I really like the clean, intuitive interface, and the user experience for the client is excellent. The features are regularly expanding, and current options make running my practice so much easier. I like the scheduling feature and the ease of building custom forms.

Cons: The customer service experience is limited in that there are no face to face options when needed, but they are making improvements in this area. I would love to see an option for teletherapy be integrated in the future.

Pros: I like that I can do almost everything electronically. I like that I can bill insurance, track payments, and schedule in the software. I really like the patient portal. I like the ease of scheduling.

Cons: I do not like that there is not a Release of Information page. This is something that I have to print out because it needs filled out specifically for each client. Then I have to scan it and upload to their chart. In addition, I am a new user to the software and I am finding it very overwhelming. However, the help section and videos are very beneficial to my learning. I would have like the option of a phone number for customer service.

Overall: The benefits of this software are that it will save me time in running my business, I have all information at my fingertips, and it is easy to use once learned.

Pros: As I get to know the program, I really like many of the features. I like all that it has to offer. The feedback I get from most practitioners in PP is that it is difficult to keep up with the business aspects of keeping a practice thriving. This incorporates many of those aspects which I anticipate will really streamline my business practices. I am excited to start adding clients.

Cons: I do not find the calendar user friendly. Additionally, shaded parts of the program are so faint that it is very difficult to see. I also think there should be a Child Intake Form in templates as well as an initial evaluation. I hope to see these added components eventually.

Overall: Streamline my business. It takes all of the various components of having a PP and incorporates them into one system.

Pros: It looks simple and easy to use, and if I didn't use DSM codes I suppose the ICD-10 codes which are offered would be useful.

Cons: The basic version does not allow clients to make their own appointments online, and support has ignored my refund request. I asked for a cancellation immediately after signing up, when I realized my mistake. But no one will get back to me about returning my monthly fee. Very poor experience.

Pros: Calendar, paperless intakes, electronic claim filing. I was working for a group practice that didnt have an EHR and am so happy to be able to type out my progress notes again. It & so much quicker and more efficient.

Cons: I wish the calendar feature provided more options. You can input non-session items but there arent any color-coding options. The availability listings are on a separate screen than your schedule. I think they mostly do this for the purposes of online booking which I dont use.

Pros: all-in-one, place for notes, schedule, ability to remind clients about their appointments, bill, and send/receive paperwork

Cons: it would be more helpful if the help and setup was congruent with work flow, for instance, walking through the account/back-end set-up and then through setting up preferences/templates, then adding contacts, etc... and that the structure of the site followed this at first and then allowed you to move the interface to reflect most-used options/features. My other feedback is that there are no unique client identifiers/numbers other than a web link and I find this unsustainable in the event I need to stop practicing and need to have long-term records on paper

Pros: Overall the format is user friendly, however the last of phone support is a serious problem and has made it very difficult to resolve individual problems, particularly with billing and superbills. This is a significant weakness and I am considering switching back to Therapynotes because of this, even though I prefer SP format.

Cons: No phone support. There are many small issues with how to make changes on superbills after submitted, problems with Stripe billing and other barriers that require individualized support which is not provided.

Pros: It is pretty intuitive, for someone like me, who is not tech savvy. It was easy to upload my logo and documents. I like the capability to create and/or edit forms. I love the ability to create invoices and superbills automatically. i like that clients can book online. However, there is not an option to book on the half hour. I like the ability to prepay for a discount. I havent used the software that long so I am not sure what else to write when i need more experience.

Cons: I cannot use my own POS service to take payment.I cannot access forms as a client to see the format they see. I cannot tailor the portal to fit my color scheme. You dont have video conferencing.

Pros: I really appreciate the 24-hour text/call reminders for clients, as well as how easy it is for clients to fill out demographics and informed consent paperwork.

Cons: I don't like that you cannot connect Square to the software and are limited the Stripe. Also, when I initially started using Simple Practice I signed up for a live video tutorial. When I signed on the video began and just a few seconds into the video it stopped and kicked me out. I was never able to participate in the video tutorial.

Pros: I like the integration of services. You can't beat one stop billing. It is visually appealing. I like the ability to automatically add time between sessions.

Cons: No live help. Learning curve is steep. They could be simpler with the billing. The demographic questionnaire is exclusive and narrow. Not intuitive for some parts.

Pros: I like online access so I have my clients contact information at all times. I like that everything is in one program with billing, client notes, and the calendar and they are all connected. The support is responsive and very good through email. I like that problems are being addressed through continuing to develop the program. I like that I can use my own forms, send to clients and also that they can get automatic appointment reminders through text or phone. One of the main reasons we selected the program along with the ease of use is it connects to QuickBooks, although we haven't used this yet. Overall it is a great program.

Cons: I would like to have phone support. I would like the ability to have more reports. I am looking forward to having access to treatment planning.

Pros: Setting up appointment calendar, filling out client data.

Cons: 1. Billing. Stripe is only choice and takes 3 or more days to receive payments. Quote from Stripe, "you must know programming language to change the billing format." I'm not a programmer. Sole practice. No office manager.
2. Billing. The structure makes no sense. I use PayPal and when I show a payment for a past invoice, the system shows the most recent payment paid. SP says watch videos. I don't need a video to use PayPal. It's simple and understandable to lay people. SP complicates everything.
3. Billing. Impossible to use. Complicated. Convoluted.

Pros: I enjoy the simple lay out and the calendar view that allows me to see my appointments easily. I also received an email of my agenda today which was nice.

Cons: The price per claim is fairly high in cost and I didn't see where the promotion of a month free for CPH could be applied when I upgraded. I understand this promotion would be directly through CPH however it would be nice if there was some collaborative piece where SimplePractice told me I could go on CPH to apply the credit.

Pros: This software is easy to navigate and very thoughtfully designed. The developers continue to add helpful options such as, secure messaging and appointment booking options. Currently, I am only a single practioner however, I appreciate there is an option to add additional clinicians in the future. I appreciate the company's partnership with Psychology Today, it feels mutually beneficial for both companies and very helpful for the customer. I am interested to see what other helpful partnerships are created to add value to the product and to the customer experience.

Cons: It would be awesome to have more basic templates included such as a couples intake, family intake, and a child intake session. I would also appreciate an option to complete intake paperwork in session with the client that does not have to go through email.

Overall: Peace of mind because most everything I need to run my business is included.

Pros: I talked with the company representatives at AAMFT in Atlanta. They told me that SP was what I was looking for. We will see! They have some online training videos, I hope they are helpful. They offer a 10% discount for paying the full year.

Cons: It is confusing to use, I can't really figure out a lot of it. I need to be able to do billing and so far it seems confusing. The billing and client information pages seem to be disjointed, and their billing system where you pay in advance for a certain number of claims is confusing to me.

Overall: I have not really used it enough yet to get an impression about benefits. I like that there is an app and syncs to my phone so I can do my notes on the go. I don't have to worry about printing costs.

Cons: Would love a few options for layout of app. It syncs well with iCal, but is a bit cluttered if you have a full day of clients.
I would LOVE it if the calendar on the site allowed for appt times to be adjusted by dragging/stretching the box as opposed to having to open the appt request and mess with the time setup.

Pros: I love the ease of scheduling appt and entering patient information. I plan to start using the patient portal soon. Also my clients love the text message reminders.

Cons: I wish there was a drop down for rescheduled appts. Also I would like a drop down for disabled instead of having to choose unemployed.

Overall: The ease of scheduling and reminders to the clients of upcoming appts. I plan to start using the patient portal at the request of my clients who would love to be able to schedule on their time.

Pros: The various features available, i haven't used all of them yet but I will eventually. Colleagues gave me good feedback about Simple Practice.

Cons: The online scheduling system is very confusing. if you click on "availability" it shows you two different screens that are hard to discern-one is booked appointments and I'm not sure what the other one is. Regardless, this is the main reason I signed up with Simple Practice and I'm not happy with this feature or the lack of phone-based customer support. That feels very "millennial" to me.

Pros: It is easier to communicate to clients in a HIPPA compliant way via the app.
It reminds me everyday of what tasks remain undone, this is so helpful!!
My clients tell me its much more user friendly for them!

Cons: It won't send invoices or messages to multiple emails automatically for the same clients, so when you have divorced parents this makes it somewhat more difficult.

Pros: The layout of this EMR is intuitive and seems to cover everything. What I love most about it is the tutorials ready to help teach you anything you may have questions about and the immediate customer support you can get.

Cons: As with everything, it is not perfect and will likely get better in time. I would like to have a way I could sync my calendar or client portal with my colleague who has her own private practice but shares the same office space. While we don't want to create a company together, it would be nice if our calendars or client portals could be synced without compromising PHI.

Pros: I love that all client information online in secure place and I can access it from anywhere. I am using Stripe billing through it which is great. I appreciate the ability to track revenue and billing information.

Pros: It has everything I would need. Well thought out and seemingly efficient. Difficult to get started and if you need help there is ZERO phone service.

Cons: Difficult to figure out without a walk through with a rep. They won't speak to you on the phone nor will they refer you to someone willing to HELP. I had a family emergency right after I paid for a full year in advance. I was unable to use the software and the weeks and months were melting away. I tried immediately to get someone to help me but they would not. Finally after 8 months, lots of Tweets, someone paid attention and helped me out but not without a huge amount of stress and aggravation added to an already stressful family illness. I want to use the software when I am better able but I can't support a company that cannot think outside the box! They won't even allow me to speak to someone in charge of customer service. It appears that if a customer has something of different concern, they can't handle helping the customer come to a satisfactory solution. I kept getting the same answer over and over and over and was NOT being heard. (the rep was ). Extremely frustrating and only minimal apparent concern for what trouble I had to advocate for myself. Not everything comes in the form of "cut and dried" run of the mill stuff. My situation was unique and they didn't seem to care one bit.

Overall: None. I was unable to set it up without a lot of aggravation and never got to the point of being able to use it due to a family emergency.

Pros: Intuitive formatting, videos and articles in the Help section. I am looking forward to using the phone app as well. Easy to communicate with clients securely. Can create and upload documents for clients to fill out and to keep in the client file.

Cons: I am still exploring all of the capabilities. The invoices are preset to have the office address as the return instead of my business mailing address. I haven't figured out if there is a way to change that yet.

Overall: More streamlined and secure documentation process. Clients can pay by credit card, and I can share forms and handouts with clients securely. Also, being able to create invoices electronically has been very helpful.

Pros: I've enjoyed the ease of use with creating forms. I also liked that someone imported my clients for me!

Cons: I'm wishing for a signable form that clients and clinician can sign-- like a treatment plan! Also, It's not clear if client data will print on every page, but I may not have gotten to see whether or not it will just yet. For instance if I get audited by medicaid, i must have client name and ID# on every page I submit to them.

Pros: The clean look of the interface, ability to customize emails and forms, as well the ease of sending invoices and superbills and collecting (and recording) payment! I found the tutorials and online question feature to be really useful as well. Overall, I really like the program!

Cons: Accessing documents and forms seems a little harder than just clicking on the client and having the corresponding blank documents and forms available in the client file.

Pros: It's incredibly intuitive and as a new therapist, I find that everything is taken care of, even things I might not have considered. It's easy to communicate with clients from intake to invoicing. Being able to create notes and manage my calendar from the app is outstanding. I noted that one user said this saved them four hours a week, but I think that is an underestimate. I honestly can't believe how easy this is and it has taken tremendous stress off starting a new practice. I'm so very pleased!! I have also appreciate how often customer service has reached out to see if they could be of support. I feel taken care of with Simple Practice, and that's nice when working in a helping profession.

Cons: Nothing major comes to mind. The payment with Stipe was slow the firs time, but customer service was responsive that this was only because it was the first time. That was accurate as all the other transactions have been relatively quick. I don't bill to insurance, currently, so can't speak to that interface.

Overall: Efficient, time saving, secure.

Pros: I usually don't like get bombarded with emails from companies, but each email Simple Practice send have answered my questions about their program. It makes me realize that they have gathered the data of past questions and support given to previous clients and created proactive email support new clients. I have not had to reach out to their customer service yet because my questions have already been answered. Pros: It is mostly intuitive and dependable. It feels like therapists who know the work thoughtfully developed the software. I appreciate how comprehensive it is in covering all the bases and many aspects of clinical work. thank you.

Cons: I'm still learning the software and notice things here and there that feel disappointing, for example that there is not a way to add an intake template. I also find the customer service of online only to be impersonal. I do understand this is the trend of the world but given a helping profession, deeply personal, it feels cold and disjointed. I have a few friends who use the software and have had negative experiences that they could not resolve in a timely fashion because of this. This has made me worried about what happens when it's my turn. I hope as the company grows this will be urgently considered.

Pros: I love being able to schedule appointments, create invoices for clients and keep all my PHI in one place, as well as being able to use a secure portal to send information to clients. The ease of use is awesome and I also love the reminders that keep you up-to-date on everything that needs to be done with every client. It's almost like having a personal assistant to keep you on track. Its great for individuals in private practice, especially someone like me who only does it part-time.

Cons: I wish that you could use other vendors such as square reader for payments. I already had square reader set up and thought it to be too much of a hassle to try to switch over now.

Overall: easy to use, help me get rid of the pen and paper record keeping and saves me lots of time!

Pros: I Like the fact that it's very simple and easy to use. No complicated slides etc. I like that billing and other administrative stuff can be done all together. It makes it very convenient to just focus on the important stuff knowing that the billings could be done just at a click of a button.

Cons: In my opinion there are few things I think could be added:
1. For intakes, I think a psychosocial notes is needed and the current format does not provide that option.
2. There need to be more than 2 options for session (Currently, the software only give option of either individual or couple session). I do family session and groups. Having an option to write note for such is imperative.

Overall: Easy appointment scheduling, Accessibility to billing conveniently. Easy notes.

Pros: Easy to use, FANTASTIC customer support, integrates with Google calendar, lots of customizable features. And everything can be downloaded as PDFs if necessary.

Cons: The software has one major limitation that I am very hopeful will be remedied soon. The software does not allow for billing in units nor for multiple codes in the same session. In my field, if a client is paying out of pocket, we may bill hourly. If we are going through insurance, many of the relevant codes indicate first 30 and each additional 30. The customer service reps have been very helpful in trying to help me find workarounds, but they are messy. I do believe this function will be added soon!

Pros: Simple Practice has a fairly intuitive, very attractive user interface with many great features. I can do all the basic things I need to run my private practice such as keeping my calendar, adding new clients, writing notes, and tracking my billing. In addition Simple Practice has great additional features like syncing with my Google calendar, customizing all my intake documents and all my client emails which I send through the secure client portal, tracking my insurance payments even though I don't submit claims through the software, and great data metrics,. It's been a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to do everything I need to and even all the features that are available, but the responsive, knowledgeable customer service is a big help. I am extremely happy with the software.

Cons: The interface of the app leaves a lot to be desired. The calendar function is hard to use and the app doesn't do much else. It's difficult to add new appointments quickly on the app when I'm sitting with a patient because of the weird calendar formatting.

Overall: As I expanded my private practice from one day a week to full time I needed a better way to track my expenses than a spread sheet and to schedule and communicate with my patients. Simple Practice has really streamlined all my processes and I discover new things it can do all the time. I would never have been able to expand my practice to successfully and smoothly without it.

Pros: It works relatively well if you have mostly direct pay clients or accept only a couple of insurances. It also works well if you have very few tech problems, your are pretty "techy" and industry knowledgeable to begin with, and you are ok with short answer email responses to any questions you might have.

Cons: There is no one to call. Even if you email asking for a phone call, they won't talk to you. Their customer support consists of sending you video and article links about how to do things. Or emailing you back and forth over the period of weeks or even months. However, if you have an actual, real-time problem, that cannot be fixed by watching a video, and requires someone to actually get on a phone and figure out what is going on- forget it. Your accounts will be hopelessly upside down, which is anything but simple! For example: insurance enrollments or payer reports that require immediate technical support, forget it. They will email you back and forth for months telling you that they submitted to have the problem fixed, as if that fixed your problem. Or they will answer you without addressing the whole problem. If you accept and/or bill multiple insurance companies, keep moving. Simple Practice is not the answer. It's too difficult to move your entire operation to another EHR once you have completely set up with Simple Practice and then you find out months later that there are no "simple" fixes when you have legitimate insurance problems.

Overall: It is simple with respect to face validity. You can navigate around pretty easily without making serious or irreversible mistakes that many of us fear with the technical aspects of EHRs.

Pros: So far I've only input my client base and set up my schedule. So far that's been easy to use. I need to customize my intake forms, which I am very excited about can all be completed paperless

Cons: I don't like that there isn't a way to schedule a couple or family as a client. I m a little wary about how easy it will be to get clients to complete the intake forms on their own, but the concept of being completely paperless is very exciting.

Pros: I love the ability to dictate notes. It has made life so much easier! I can use my cell phone microphone right after a session, which is a huge help.

Cons: It seems a little tedious to set up the custom client forms and portal. I'm still learning how to do this.

Overall: The ability to dictate notes super fast!

Pros: I love all the built in features for writing notes and billing is a breeze. I also appreciate how easy it is to watch a video or read an article to answer questions as they come up.

Cons: I wish there was a fee option for budding practicitioners. I know that this tool will be increasingly useful as my practice grows, but it's quite a bit of money to spend when you only have a few clients, and I've considered cancelling my subscription simply for that reason. Also, it seems most useful for folks who take insurance.

Pros: The simplicity of setting it up and easy access to answers when I need them. I like the ease of forms and notes templates. The entire program is very easy to figure out and set up, saving me valuable time and energy.

Cons: Cost.
Linking it to stripe is also an inconvenience because I already have square and would rather use that.

Overall: Very easy to store client records. Time saver!

Pros: I was able to get up and running without much hassle due to the programs ease-of-use. I absolutely love the client templates that are sent out at every stage of the process. They're well written and offer my practice an air of professionalism. Also customer service has been quick to respond, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. One other thing I love is the client portal where clients can sign in, fill out important paperwork, and immediately and automatically be sent informed consent documents. It's seamless and make sure that I cover all the necessary bases with ease.

Cons: My least favorite aspect of the program is that it requires the use of stripe for credit card processing. Although it works great, I might have preferred to have been given the choice between stripe, square etc. Also working in the calendar has been a little confusing for me but I see that they just added a "simple booking widget" that I have not tried yet. It looks like that might solve those problems.

Overall: I'm just starting a new practice and it immediately got me up and running with professionalism.

Pros: I just stated using SimplePractice for my small private practice that I started. I really like the ease of being able to see my appointments on the calendar, and being able to click right on the appointment to create the note. I also really like that SimplePractice keeps track of billing, for instance if a client does not pay me the co-pay at the session. I also like that SimplePractice offered me tech support right away and was happy to set up a phone call with them for extra support.

Cons: I like the e-mails with the schedule, but since I am only meeting with clients two days a week I would prefer to get the schedule e-mails only when I have clients in my schedule.

Pros: Simplicity and ease of use. Everything just makes sense. I have looked at 8 other products and kept coming back to simple practice because of easy integration, awesome tools, straight forward approach and the best price.

Cons: None! I have been continuously impressed with what they have to offer and the increditable team! Only one suggestion would be to have a more detailed and thorough intake questionnaire. I do comprehensive diagnostic assessments all the time and would love to have something similar to type client data directly into.

Overall: Multiple clinician access, client data storage, billing, scheduling, reports, file sharing.

Pros: It is very comprehensive. This system provides so many diverse functions on one platform. I can take care of billing, scheduling, payments, and HIPPA compliant communication all in one place.

Cons: Currently, there is not anything that I do not like about the software. I have only been using it for a month.

Pros: Having everything on one platform. Being able to email client portal access with intake paperwork and statements. Ease of billing and note completion. Great customer support!!

Cons: Inability to choose exact session time on mobile app, such as 1:50pm because it only allows 15 minute increments even though the website lets you schedule tonthe exact minute.

Overall: Helps me run my practice efficiently without needing multiple products for notes, billing, scheduling etc.

Pros: The structure of the webpage. It is easy to navagate and I love the calendar and scheduling . I also like that with a click I make the billing .

Cons: I would like that the app would have all the features that I used in the software . For example I really will appreciate if the format I created for my progress notes is available and accessible through my phone.

Overall: Im going completely paperless. I live that it keeps me organized and everything in within one software.
