It is possible to make great videos with just a few hours of exploring the website. Pros It's a very versatile program for creating all kinds of animations, especially 2D style. I used it a lot during my school days and it was very easy to learn because of how intuitive it is. Cons In the past, the program used to freeze a lot. At the beginning, it wasn't designed for low-performance computers, especially those in public schools, so I always had to use my personal PC to create the animations with minimal lag. Even if the features seem promising on paper, theyā€™re overshadowed by constant lagging and crashes. It's hard to appreciate anything when you're stuck refreshing the app and losing progress repeatedly. Cons I had high hopes for Animaker, but itā€™s been nothing short of a frustrating experience. The app constantly lags, making it almost impossible to get anything done. Every time I try to create or edit something, it freezes, forcing me to refresh the page and start all over again. Itā€™s incredibly time-consuming and unproductive, especially when youā€™re in the middle of a project. The lagging issue has been persistent, and it seems like thereā€™s no fix in sight. I think they have made it super easy and user friendly and my kiddos love the simplicity of the videos theyā€™re not overly stimulating in the free and basic version and they honestly didnā€™t take very much time to put together because Lord knows as a teacher of 24 first graders. I do not have a ton of time to get everything done while my kids are at special. Pros I love that when I use Animaker in the free version I can make three 2 minutes (or less) videos each month to share with my kids and students. I love to do this for whatever our topic or virtue of the month is. You can choose to pay the $20 a month and get the basic plan and that has a lot more features available and you can make way more customized videos that are longer to cover each of your class rules, new concepts, and just fun ideas for the month. Cons The free version only gives you three downloads a month on your video needs to be two minutes or less. Their chat and tech support is very responsive but I think this tool has a long way to go. Pros It's fun and easy to use. It creates something cool and unique and they have a lot of good and free features that you can incorporate. Cons It's super glitchy and scenes just start disappearing all of a sudden. I had to contact their tech support to get some deleted scenes back and it took them a day and a half to do so. I also didn't like not being able to add links into my video. It's great software even though it's a page. Pros the program is very easy to use, the creation and production are up to the examples that the system has. I'm very happy with the time I gained in creating and producing my work, I can only thank you for that. Cons There are a lot of flaws in this software that I've discovered, most of which are connected to rendering. It's pretty uncommon for the "published" video to change significantly from what I see in editor mode, which is incredibly inconvenient. I always have to watch my video twice after downloading it to make sure there were no rendering mistakes.For me, this has not been a pleasant experience. I've also discovered that the animation search option isn't particularly accurate. Each animation has an insufficient number of tags. When I scroll through all of the animations at once, I frequently come across ones that I would like to utilize but which did not appear in my search.While customer support is quick to respond to any problems I have, I'd rather not have these bugs and difficulties in the first place. Pros The versatility of Animaker is amazing. Being able to create an avatar that is representative of our team members brings them into the presentation. When paired with other software, the combination of resources is astounding, if not time consuming. We recommend having someone to focus on a project made with Animator, as opposed to a business owner that already has so much else to do. Pros The idea of Animaker itself is a game-changer for small businesses. We don't have to hire actors to promote our content, but we can certainly make them! We have created at least 15 characters that our audience has been able to recognize on follow-up marketing campaigns. Cons Options. While options are excellent and essential, it is important to have them properly categorized. It may be difficult, but this would make the platform a lot more user friendly. To be able to browse audio, for example, keywords and categories are essential. So it is important for new users to first browse content before doing their project ste-by-step. Cons There are a number of bugs I have come across in this software, especially related to rendering. It is not uncommon for the "published" video to be different from what I see in editor mode, which is extremely frustrating. When I download my video, I always have to watch it through again to see if there were any rendering errors. This is not a positive experience for me. I also have issues sharing a video with collaborators via link (rather than email). I have also found that the search function for animations is not very accurate. There are not enough tags associated with each animation. When I scroll through all the animations at once, I often find ones that I would have liked to use but they did not come up in my query. While customer service is very responsive to issues I come across, I would prefer not to have these bugs and issues in the first place. FM Financial Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "My experience with Animaker" April 11, 2019 5.0 It is my strong view that nowadays support that we get together with the purchased IT product is far more important than the product itself. Because it is the support that gives life to the product and provides value. The level of support I have received from Animaker team has been amazing. These guys are very smart and very helpful and very quick. They have quite a bit of time with me patiently explaining every detail, making me an Animaker guru from a person with literally no IT background. I have managed to produce amazing video content with Animaker and any time I encountered a problem or a bug, Animaker team was right there and right available to fix all the problems for me. I am received a great value for the money I paid and I am grateful to Animaker team and I highly recommend this product. Pros I loved that you do virtually everything in the software. You can animate everything and you can manage the content any way you like. Breakdown by seconds allows you to manage every second of your content Cons I think it would be better if a scene would have like 20 to 30 seconds. My view is that 15 seconds too small and may be time consuming. And I would also love if you could incorporate a feature that helps to animate the characters that we are inserting the way it animates your own characters. For example if I could import my daughters image and could have her move her arm or leg. It would also be great if we could import a video as well and manage it. If you are looking for the same boring cartoons in the cheaper tier of Vyond, I guess this is a more affordable alternative. Cons Not only do they not provide the nicer animated cartoons as Vyond, but their customer support sucks. When I signed up for the entire year, thinking it was a bargain compared to Vyond, they never activated the membership. I thought my transaction had not gone through. I thought it was better that way, as I was not convinced it was money well spent. Months later, however, during tax season, as I checked my financial records, I noticed they had indeed charged me $588! I checked my membership and they had never activated it...it was still in trial mode. I asked for a refund. They promised I would get it in 7-10 business days. I never got it, and PayPal notified me that Animaker had canceled my membership (what membership??) and therefore they would no longer withdraw additional funds (how kind)! Soo unprofessional and with poor business sense. Every attempt to communicate with Customer Service was ignored. Not only do they have a mediocre product but they are also dishonest and unreliable. If someoneā€™s subscribed to a monthly fee, they should have access to all the features and something has to be done about how slow it is when you have to preview every scene! Itā€™s a complete waste of time..Unlike other softwares Iā€™ve used, this took me more than a minute literally to edit each scene and I had over 25 scenes! Secondly, I upgraded to their ā€œstarterā€ package and I was supposed to get 25 assets for free and after adding a few of their video backgrounds, when I went to download my video (after 2 whole days mind you) it said I had to pay for 4 assets that I added and it never notified me when I added it in the first place, so I had to redo all those video parts!! After speaking to them, they said I could use any video assets but to make sure I check that I can add those cuz the ones I added were unavailable! Then why have those in your library? Iā€™m still editing the same video and I have to keep playing it from the start every time I make a change or if something shifts, which it often does! Overall their customer support is good but their app sucks!! Lots of time in editing ! Once the video is ready, you have to upgrade further to have it downloaded in a premium quality.
