Pros: I love the functionality. While it has it's occasional glitches, the overall use of it is amazing. Our company has benefited from it so much. Even though we are a smaller team we all work together, sometimes remote, and we juggle a lot of different things for an ever-growing client list. Tracked has helped us communicate better because we could hop in and see what projects were being worked on and who has been working on them. It has allowed us to break out bigger projects into smaller bit size pieces that make more sense to the team.

Cons: The glitches are pretty common. We also had some issues for a while trying to figure out labels to where we did not have to recreate the same ones every new task we made. But support was always there to help.

Overall: The ability to run a team more efficiently and have an overall view of what is happening and when and who is working on it.

Pros: We can organize everything from to-dos to documents to random thoughts about a client or project in one place so it is easy to stay on top of everything or to pick up where you left off.

Cons: one feature that I hope is coming soon is to be able to make a repeating to-do. Right now we change the date but don't have the satisfaction of checking it off every time.

Overall: A clearer mind because I know that I have captured all the parts of a client or project and I can quickly assign tasks and now that my team is on top of everything.

A Simple and Effective Kanban Add-On for Basecamp

Pros: Tracked is simple (near-instant) to setup and supports a basic Kanban interface for your existing projects and teams inside of Basecamp. There are only a few supported features, but they are just the ones you need which keeps this add-on light and avoids interferences with the core Basecamp functionality.

Cons: There is a small problem with bookmarking URLs to the Kanban views of project and teams: some views don't have distinct URL paths so you occasionally have to visit the page, and then interact with UI to load the proper view setting. This is mildly annoying but tiny compared to overall value of the plugin.

Overall: Tracked is a fantastic alternate view of tasks for those that like the Kanban approach to task management. Customer support for Tracked is outstanding - very timely and helpful for whatever questions arise.

Pros: I like having boards that I can see laid out for me and that I can see their due dates.

Cons: I don't like that the Kanban boards sometimes disappear, and I have to exit the program for them to come back. The program isn't very intuitive... it took me FOREVER to figure out how to get back to the project folder (as it turns out, I had to click on the hard to find name of the column the individual projects reside in). I also don't like that if the list of projects in a column is longer than what you see on your screen, manually moving individual project tiles around is a pain. Lastly, it also took me forever to figure out how to edit the description of an individual project (it turned out to be the nondescript elipses icon in the top right). I think this would be nicer if you could just go in and edit the text without having to go looking for an edit button.

Overall: Overall, the app is functional, but clumsy.

Pros: I really like how easy it is to get a Kanban view of your basecamp tasks. I find dragging tasks between categories and setting up new tasks and categories to be very easy.

Cons: I think it would be really great to set up sprints in Tracked. If we could have a more focused view of what I should be working on in a particular week or two weeks. Also it's a bit frustrating that I can't see the boards on the desktop or mobile Basecamp apps but I'm not sure much can be done about it. Also the individual view seems to be a bit buggy

The proposal is great but the feature is very slow to sync and don't have a template of boards

Pros: You don't need to get out of Basecamp to see your boards, same layout and easy do locate and its promisse to solve one of my big issues with Basecamp, that is organize and priorize many todos.

Cons: Very slow, fi you need to use it many times a day you give up and also your team. I think the ideia is great but need something more to keep using. One example is if I organize a KanbanBoard to one designer and if he move the jobs in his board and add the job to another designer, nothing will change in the other designer board and also the board names are always different. Maybe its usefull to a small team or to a freelance.

Pros: Basecamp is great, but it can sometimes be difficult to communicate priorities to your team, especially if you have a ton of projects. Tracked is a useful extension. It really helps us prioritize and keep the rest of the team appraised of our progress.

Cons: Occasionally Tracked will disappear from Basecamp for no apparent reason. I won't notice until my project manager asks why I'm not using tags on my To-Dos. Then, I'll have ot reinstall it.

Streamlined design & effortless operation are key to your organization's needs.

Pros: The navigation between different interfaces is easy and organized. Everything I need to move my tasks from "to-do" to "done" is at my fingertips. I can communicate easily with everyone on my team and let them know all statuses and updates and move between all the different tasks without hassle. Its impeccable design optimizes my workflow and productivity across the board.

Cons: I would like to see an increased design personalization feature. Something to make the website feel a bit more like home (color choice or areas for updating an inspirational quote on the home page would be awesome). Overall, amazing, but it could be a bit more personalized.

Overall: Because of this product, I don't just complete my tasks - I crush them with ease. I do every job better with it, and my time is saved while doing it.

Pros: Its seamless and allows me to quickly deliver feedback to my team, and in turn they manage to also quickly get back to me.

Cons: Its a minor issue when I type, sometimes indenting isn't recognized when I hit tab on my keyboard--sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Overall: In other parts of the advertising world, companies are still using paper to deliver their job requests; and I think having it on digital is extremely efficient.

A great idea, but a difficult approach.

Pros: Tracked was the only solution that would allow us to have Kanban boards within the actual Basecamp 3 website itself. That "single source of truth" is important to us -- we've had issues in the past with data getting missed because it's siloed in multiple places. There were other Kanban providers for Basecamp, but none that surfaced the data within the Basecamp interface.

Cons: It's a bit limited because of how it's implemented. Inserting and rearranging page elements on-the-fly to add the Kanban views to the standard Basecamp pages sometimes causes visual glitches or rendering oddities. Page elements wind up out of place sometimes and refreshing the page doesn't always fix the problem.

Overall: It helped us organize a bit better.

Pros: Ease of use, flexibility (it works for coordinating a training, projects, home, work), ability to comment and have those comments go to the person's email, LOVE being able to move the cards from list to list, labels and the notifications.

Cons: Need a way to create To Do list templates (that don't go on the KanBan board).

Overall: As a coordinator for a busy training company, I have a million details to keep track of every day. I was very reluctant to use this software but now that I have started I will not go without it. The software is flexible, fairly intuitive and never fails (where my memory often does). I really like being able to move the cards around from column to column, the ability to add documents, links and comments right in the To Do list, the labels so you can view like things together and so much more!

Pros: It brings a feature to Basecamp that is almost essential for efficiency and productivity. Trello and Asana already allows for Kanban .... This add-on allows Basecamp to finally do the same.

Cons: Not as flexible as other Kanban solutions... probably more on BaseCamp's side... Was not able to have a single Kanban card where you could have to dos as part of the card; limited color coding, limted labeling ... compare it with Trello or Asana's Kanban features and you may agree.

Overall: Gave Basecamp a Kanban solution... something it needs badly.

Pros: Ability to link Basecamp cards to priorities. Would be hard to link each card with a separate card in Trello.

Discussions are all in one place.

Addresses a legit need in Basecamp lots of engineering teams use Kanban boards.

Cons: Its not as easy to use as Trello.

It feels a little clunky and hard to use for example, when clicking on a card, it appears in a small-ish modal, which is a chore to navigate. Would rather have it open in a larger modal that looks more like the Basecamp UI.

Overall, it might make more sense to just use Trello for engineering related tasks, and only use Basecamp for things that the rest of the company needs to see/comment on.

Overall: Kanban board for Basecamp cards, a single place for comments around tasks.

Pros: I like that Tracked gives us the ability to track projects on a kanban board. The implementation is easy and it feels like a natural extension of Basecamp.

Cons: This cannot be accessed in the Basecamp Desktop or Mobile app since this is a chrome extension. I would also like the ability to have views of kanban boards for the overall account, having projects be cards in the board.

Overall: Experience has been great. Anytime we have had an issue (only a couple times), their support team was responsive, friendly and corrected the issues quickly. The pricing made it an easy choice to give it a try and keep.

Pros: It is great to be able to quickly address and view my teams workload, and in real time, the way the individual Kanban boards interact with overall project boards is great and saves a lot of time giving status updates manually.

Cons: There is not a company wide - all projects - kanban. It would be great to have a view of what everyone is working on across multiple projects. It also doesn't interact with our time - tracking software. Lots of clicks for some of our team.

Overall: We quickly realised after we started using Tracked that within our projects we had a lot of unnecessary tasks in the backlog. It gave us a really quick reality check, and has forced us to look at projects and prioritise better.

Pros: The agile/scrum style verticals are a essential for productivity and efficiency. The labels feature transforms Basecamp into an application that provides so much value for what you are getting.

Cons: I would love for Basecamp and Tracked to collaborate on a thick client or mobile app so that users can have the same experience when they are on their phone or while offline.

Overall: Increased efficiency when using Basecamp. I know exactly where I am at with my project/assignment and what I still have to do. Our team meetings are much shorter with Basecamp/Tracked because our team knows exactly what page everyone is on and/or if anyone is stuck or overloaded with work. Please keep updating/improving on this software.

Pros: It is easy to create new To-dos, and move them around the columns.

It is useful to have a different board for each project/team.

Integration with Basecamp was simple to do.

Cons: The Kanban UI could be a lttle more polished/beautiful. Although I imagine it could be difficult to change while still maintaining design consistency with Basecamp.

We used to use Jira Kanban, and I think it was more pleasant to look at.

Besides that, there is the fact that the product can get pricy for a great number of collaborators.

Overall: Organizing workflow and integration with tool used at company-wide level

Pros: I like the fact that Tracked team continuously innovates and is incorporating more agile features into the kanban board, so scrum masters can implement the agile process in a much more organized and easy fashion on Basecamp.

Cons: Wish Tracked worked on multiple browsers and also on offline installation of Basecamp

Overall: Tracked is good. Though I feel it is slightly expensive for being just a plugin, Its worth is in a way justified by how important that features are to implement agile development. However, Tracked may lose its value, if these obvious features are implemented by basecamp or another plugin, at lower or no-cost.

Pros: Assigning labels is a convenient way to group the tasks and also makes it easier to search and navigate to a particular task. I used labels to group the tasks according to functional areas.

Pros: It's simple and straightforward. Adds kanban style cards and other functionalities that software developers in particular miss about basecamp.

Cons: Because it's so targeted and simple, sometimes there are important functionalities that are missing. It is also a bit buggy at times. When first integrating, we had trouble getting it to work properly, and it wouldn't show for every account.

Overall: Adds functionalities that are not native to basecamp and are quite important, especially for software developers.

Pros: It makes todos much easier to track and manage inside Basecamp. It's very useful to be able to track the status of items beyond the simple checkbox that Basecamp provides.

Cons: Because of the way todos are grouped and listed (from the normal todo page in Basecamp), it can sometimes be confusing to figure out how to add a todo in the right place.

Easy to use and very usefull.

Pros: It's extremely easy to use and integrates well with Basecamp. It adds a new section with the Kanban Board where we can literally drag and drop like a post-it on a real board. We can label, assign dates and people like a normal to-do.

Cons: Having it as a chrome extension might not be the best option for some users. And it will not mark tasks as complete when moved to the Done section.

Overall: It allows to be more organized with all the tasks during the project.

Pros: This tool makes collaborating with multiple teams easy. With file sharing functionality and the ability to include emoji cons makes it fun to use. The notifications and the ability to check off a to do list helps make daily to do easy to remember.

Cons: It was hard to use in the beginning because of the fact that there was so much functionality and not too much of a tutorial when I started using it. Once I got it, it was easy to use.

Pros: Integrates easily into Basecamp 3, simple drag and drop Kanban interface for project to dos. Love that they have added an account wide Kanban board for all to dos.

Cons: There's some times where Tracked hangs a bit when loading up a project for the first time, especially if there's lots of To Do items that it needs to sync.

Overall: Easier to organise tasks and to dos, based on projects or across all projects.

Pros: Adopting Trello style kanban boards instead of static to-do lists inside Basecamp is excellent, and helps us keep things in one place.

Cons: Because it relies on a browser extension, it can't be used in either the official Desktop or mobile applications, leading to an inconsistent user experience across platforms.

Overall: Adopting agile methodologies inside of our existing software helped streamline the process of changing our processes, since the software stayed the same.

Pros: I love that Tracked automatically syncs with the Basecamp view - it is so seamless that I barely remember that it's a separate program. I also love being able to see all of my team's projects in a kanban view!

Cons: I hate when I have to re-link Tracker to my Basecamp after rebooting my computer.

Overall: Seeing all of my team's projects organized in a kanban view makes our weekly huddle more efficient and also shows where our quarter's efforts are being focused.

Pros: It's easy and intuitive. It's not all singing and dancing like other Kanban tools on the market, but it integrates well with Basecamp and it allows us to start trialing Kanban process with very little friction.

Cons: Probably the speed and interface. The scrolling is not the most sophisticated when the task list is long.

Overall: It has allowed us to start tracking out WIP and make everyone aware of why we are constantly busy but not much is getting done.

Cons: There is not much I don't like about Tracked, although if I had to highlight any it would be the how the "Hay" drop down menu is overlapped by the "Your Kanban Board" tool.

Pros: Easy and confortable. ITs easy to find the proyects that you are working in. Plenity of shortcuts to the To-Dos and tasks in basecamp and thats is reflected in an increment of productivity at work

Pros: Tracked for Basecamp adds to-do tags, which are indispensable to our team's workflow.

Cons: Tracked for Basecamp is limited by being a browser extension, and therefore, cannot be run as part of the basecamp mobile app or on mobile.

Pros: Kanban boards make it easy to categorize what tasks you have. The tags are helpful to see where projects are at a glance rather than having to click and read them.

Pros: The best part about this software is, of course, the board. It's easy to use and provides a great, quick visual of ticket progress.

Cons: Some cons:

- Syncing tickets puts everything at the bottom. This makes sense, but it's hard to prioritize tickets because a user has to drag them manually.

- It'd be great to create permissions that restrict which users can shift tickets to which lanes.

Cons: At this time there are no glaring issues that we've run into with using Tracked for our projects. Most issues we could find easy work arounds for.

Pros: Can use swim lanes for easier tracking of projects. Can easily sync with all users so you know who is the next to take action on a ticket

Cons: Hard to find some of the features. I did not like the extension has to be used. Some sync issues at times where i would move a ticket but was not seen by other users.

Pros: Enables one to create Kanban boards out of your basecamp tasks, a feature that I definitely would like to be native in Basecamp.

Cons: Our basecamp to do lists were sometimes too full of items, overpowering Tracked's capacity. Something that they reacted to and are fixing.

Price is great, easy to use and visual appealing.

Pros: Assigning the labels keeps everything so organized and easy to find what you're working on. The customer service is amazing.

Cons: I haven't really found out what I like least yet but editing the to do lists so far.

Also, more colors would be nice for the labeling

Pros: Easy to use, tracking information is easy, adding projects and putting time in. Haven't used the customer service yet.

Cons: It isn't as fluid with Basecamp as I would like. If it integrated in with the project a little easier it would be better, but worked in the end.

it's definitely ben helpful.could use more featurs

It has been fine.

Pros: It tracks things, and that is beneficial when you need things tracked for your work in order to be successful.

Cons: I don't have a ton of use for it in my position as I am an event manager, so it doesn't translate quite as well to my world.

I like using the Kanban board

Pros: It integrates with Basecamp, which we already use internally. So it's easy to implement with our current process.

Cons: It's not used by a lot of the people we work with externally. To use Kanban boards, it's often easier to get people on board (no pun intended) with Trello or Airtable.
