April 24, 2018 4.0 It allows to be more organized with all the tasks during the project. Pros It's extremely easy to use and integrates well with Basecamp. It adds a new section with the Kanban Board where we can literally drag and drop like a post-it on a real board. We can label, assign dates and people like a normal to-do. We can see all of the "To-dos" we have and easily see which ones are important and need to be completed right away vs ones that can be done later. It's helped us become more organized. Pros I like the layout - being able to see all of our tasks laid out in an easy to read and understand way. Cons I don't like that we can't make duplicate projects with all of the "to-dos" in the correct spots. We have to change those manually. Review Source AK Alorah K. Property Management Real Estate Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "Needed something that could see tasks from different projects" January 30, 2019 4.0 I hope that you do add the functionality of letting Tracked access tasks across all projects shared by one team. This would be a huge advantage for basecamp. I liked the product and the communication with the tracked team, but our team is not using it because we need to see all tasks from all projects at once. We run a property management company, and each "project" is a house or property, and all members of our team work with all properties. The most important drawback to Basecamp for us is that we can only see tasks either divided by project or divided by team member which means that in our weekly scrum sprint meetings, there is no single view of all the work for our team. I've looked into a dozen team-management websites and softwares online, but none of them quite matched basecamp for storing and organizing information and records. And no add-on software was quite as appealing as Tracked for it's simple, clear design. But again, we are not using it because we do not want to look into each project separate from all others. Pros I like the simple kanban layout, it's easy to use and I liked how it integrated almost seamlessly into the BC interface. Pros The best part about this software is, of course, the board. It's easy to use and provides a great, quick visual of ticket progress. Cons Some cons: - Syncing tickets puts everything at the bottom. This makes sense, but it's hard to prioritize tickets because a user has to drag them manually. - It'd be great to create permissions that restrict which users can shift tickets to which lanes. Pros I like that I can customize the labels to fit our nomenclature. Cons I wish I could globally turn off Kanban and only turn it on for the specific projects rather than have to turn off each one. August 30, 2018 4.0 Way easier to plan what I'm doing for the week by grouping them in Kanban boards. Pros Kanban boards make it easy to categorize what tasks you have. The tags are helpful to see where projects are at a glance rather than having to click and read them. Cons There are a couple small bugs... Projects don't show up if they've been marked completed and then reopened... Some small UI bugs like text overlapping. Nothing major. Review Source CY Chad Y. Tracked gives us a great view of what is scheduled and what phse of the project it exists in which we could not find a solution for prior to Tracked. Pros This serves our companies needs for a Kanban plugin at a great price which is easy to set up and use. No need to be an IT expert to get users up and running. Cons The sync is often delayed and forces the need for a manual re-sync. Would be nice if the Basecamp tasks could be edited directly from the Kanban board, or at least returned to the board after editing a task. Review Source TM Tejas M. April 18, 2018 5.0 Pros Assigning labels is a convenient way to group the tasks and also makes it easier to search and navigate to a particular task. I used labels to group the tasks according to functional areas. Cons Initially it took me a while to figure out how to add a new label as the process of adding a new label I feel is a bit ambiguous. Cons I don't like how the board isn't a real-time reflection, and requires a manually initiated refresh, which takes some time. Can easily sync with all users so you know who is the next to take action on a ticket Cons Hard to find some of the features. I did not like the extension has to be used. Some sync issues at times where i would move a ticket but was not seen by other users. Pros I really like the feature of adding the kanban board to Basecamp. It gives a prioritization view that basecamp doesn't offer and is a super helpful view when dealing with multiple clients in multiple capacities. Cons The software doesn't work with the app, which is where I access Basecamp most of the time. This is probably the biggest reason I don't use it all of the time. It would often not refresh, so there would be tasked I'm assigned to that I couldn't see in the kanban view, which isn't great, since there is a risk of missing to dos and deadlines. It helps a lot with the workflow of my team and current projects. Better communication and ability to make more sense of projects. Cons Maybe the refresh rate isn't so great. With many projects in Basecamp, to dos or even entire projects seem to get lost. Tracked has helped to organize and prioritize my Basecamp significantly. It has also helped to reduce the time spent in meeting going over every single to do by narrowing that down to what we are currently working on. Pros The most beneficial aspect of this software is the ability to restructure your list of to dos in Basecamp to help prioritize efficiently.
