Its great to have everything in once place and its easy to keep track of everything. Pros Just about everything. We love how easy it is to manage the projects with all the costs, time used, estimates, and invoices all in one place. The price it costs for the software is also very cheap compared to other similar software. The customer support has been amazing, I have to wait a minute at most to get someone in their chat to help me out when I need it. Cons When making very large estimates the software slows down a lot and it can be hard to navigate since it starts to really chuck along to get everything loaded. As I learn more in the contracting world I can then use more of the resourses that are available through foreman which makes it really nice. Pros Its fairly simple to navigate and find whatever youre looking for. The trainings are also very helpful. Coming in as an office manager brand new I had no understanding of any back end stuff. Foreman made it easy to figure out. Cons They dont sync up with the Payroll company that we use. Just makes an extra step on my end in adding numbers for the employees. When I have reached out for help, I am always told I can submit a request and if enough other users also want the same thing development may be able to push it forward. Pros The ability to add photos and invoices on each service ticket helps us track the start to finish of them. Cons You are unable to customize the system in any way. Changes must come from a vote of many users so if other companies aren't using the system the way you are, there isn't much chance of getting options added. There is end to end visibility of all projects, employees, suppliers and more. It has many excellent features and ability to sync with QuickBooks seamlessly. The web app works well and is available in Android and Apple. Pros We are a mid-sized contractor and we use to track project spending and ensure our jobs stay on budget. It syncs seamlessly with QuickBooks and has a user-friendly interface. I have also made use of their handy webchat for miscellaneous questions. There is also an option to run reports which our project managers find extremely useful. This is only a few of the options we use, but as we expand I'm sure more and more of the tools will be utilized. Great product! Cons A few minor issues: - When entering multiple line items on an invoice, sometimes a line or two will disappear and require re-entry. - When adding an attachment, it usually appears as if you've added two attachments even when only one was added. - One of the tax options prevents CF from syncing with QB. The current project module is architected around a single contracted project structure and all financial calculations are built on that foundation. Supporting multiple estimates would require a major re-architecture of the base module and several dependent features. It is not a small switch but a large structural change. Pros The best part about is the price and the customer service. I also really like the tracking of the time cards.Building estimates is a breeze with the software, very easy to use. Cons It's not as robust as other similar software, however, they are consistently upgrading and working on it. Pros It is very costly as well as very easy to use and its very user friendly, everything is very self-explanatory and if it isn't the customer support chat on the platform is excellent and fast, the estimate creation part is very simple and fast, as well as the project management aspect all of my guys know how to do Daily reports and all necessary tasks quick and efficient, in my office the system we were able to develop with for invoicing is great and for them to manage all data and important information in one platform. We mainly focus on the estimating and project management aspects, but also love the directory. For estimating, they offer automatic bid invites we can create and send to our subcontractors. Then our subs have the opportunity to send back a lump sum number, or a number based on the schedule of values. Contractor Foreman then automatically updates the estimate with their number/s when we accept their bid. It makes estimating a breeze! Also, as someone who manages the project documentation, compliance, insurance, bookkeeping, and all other office tasks, I LOVE the fact that it connects to quickbooks. Any project bills I upload to contractor foreman gets sent over to quickbooks online instantly! All estimates....sent to QB. All customer invoices....sent to QB. Anything involving bookkeeping and financials that I input into Contractor Foreman, gets synced to QB. Along with the directory and other things. If you have quickbooks and are looking into a project management system, GO TO CONTRACTOR FOREMAN! Best bang for your buck. It does everything almost all other project management software does, but for 1/4 of the price! Pros Ability to sync with quickbooks. Estimating and subcontractor Bid invites features. Shared calendar. Vendor, customer, subcontractor directory and details. Cons Having to refresh the page with their refresh button occasionally. You have to refresh for the inputted information to show up every now and then.
