We mainly wanted a program to help us job cost and would allow the guys to clock in and out and keep track of their time. We renewed our contract with CF and have not even looked elsewhere. Pros We appreciate how easy it is to work within CF. The guys can clock in and we can track their time easily, we can enter jobs from estimate to project easily. CF produces professional emails to send out to customers. Cons We really don't have many complaints, the only thing we feel could be improved is the CRM side. Pros Lots of features that we have been looking for Cons The features work really well in theory but not so much in practice. Integrations with QB are the worst while financials are the most important to the company! Having faced a lot of issues with software, I am spending half of my day talking to customer support. They are able to fix some issues, but it is really annoying that I need to waste so much time for them to fix the issue while they cannot admit that the platform has a lot of bugs and the user himself is not and will not be able to fix problems. The WORST part is that when customer service is not able to assist which happens VERY OFTEN, they request to send email to their customer support. Weeks go by and there is no response. When I reach out to them again, it seems like they have no notes and they start over asking questions, submitting duplicate requests and keep promising to fix the issue. With so many great capabilities it is a shame they are not able to get it together and really take care of their existing clients. Every month there's a massive list of new and improved features, and the product really does get better each time. I'd like to see time cards a little more user friendly as my hourly guys constantly forget to clock in and out, and it's a bit of a hassle to make corrections. Pros Extremely customizable, gives the ability to create either very detailed specific estimates (line item) or lump sum with a single click. GPS tracked time punches, group chat, real time photo uploads, customer portals. Cons Confusing and needlessly complicated time cards, gps only tracks at punches and does not ping employees, PDF estimates could be a tad prettier. The certainly understand our business and terminology. This has been a very good fit for our company. Pros We are just starting with the implementation of this software and doing as many training videos as possible. So far, we are very pleased with the ease of integration to our business, but it is going to take us some time to be fully integrated and have all of us using the system properly. Cons The length of time that it will take us to master the system. The cost to keep that program going was just not worth it to me. Prior to choosing CF, we looked at a series of different software's, and no other software in the market was the same or even close to the price of CF. Although the alternative software's in the market have many more advanced features than CF, they were also extremely expensive. One major thing we like about CF, is the number of users they offer with all plans rather than being "pay per user". CF offers all the construction management tools you need, although I wish there was more customizability within, however, it does get the job done right. If your a larger contractor (15M+) then you might want to look at alternatives to CF as it may be too small of a software for large volume contracts. However, I highly recommend CF for smaller contractors and specialty trades, as there is no other software in the market which provides these features at this value. (Trust me I looked at all options). I like having a single place for myself, subs, and clients to access the information needed. Cons Seems there's some redundancy. Not sure if I missed it, but a quick start training to estimating would be beneficial. Example - it's easy to find "estimates" and create one, but if you do this outside of opportunities you will have to manually tie the estimate to the project later. There should be a best practice that shows how to utilize the system in the most efficient manner to save time. It is wonderful to call, send an email, or live chat and get a response! We are just a few days into our trial and have had such great customer service! We had a live training on Monday of this week. It was very informative and helpful. Pros Ease of use of product. We have been using 3 different programs and paying monthly for them before we found Contractor Foreman. We are still trying to figure out a lot of the features but so far the customer service has been outstanding. We like the fact if we are confused in any part of the program, the live chat feature has been great. We can send a chat and get our help immediately. We are also a fan of the Live Training! In our opinion we feel like the Live Training and the on line Video training is great! Cons Would like more ease of linking leads to calendar without so many steps. March 22, 2024 5.0 Pros I am still new to the platform but what I like is the amount of robust features that are available and the customization that you can do within the platform. I would also add that their customer service and training materials are very helpful and makes learning the system easier. They seem to have thought about a lot of details for their users making the workflows within the program easy to pickup on. Cons So far I haven't experienced many downsides. One roadblock that I have ran into is not finding a way to input my crews time in a bulk action. This could be a solvable problem, I just haven't found the answer yet. Additionally, in my line of work, the pay rates can change between jobs and I havent found a good way to track that yet. I plan on reaching out to their customer service to assist me with finding these answers! They are very professional and talented. The reporting and tracking features are very robust, and you may customize them fairly easy.They provide several templates to upload data, of course you need specific skills to take advantage of it.
