Support has also been responsive whenever we've needed assistance. It's a very capable system for contractors of all sizes, especially small to mid-size businesses looking for a professional upgrade. Pros Contractor Foreman stands out for offering an incredible range of features in one platform—estimates, schedules, daily logs, timecards, change orders, and more. The Service Tickets and Work Orders modules are especially useful for tracking small jobs and urgent service calls. I have never used Contractor Foreman for clients with more than 25 projects going at a time, so am not certain how it would do under those circumstances. Pros I liked the fact that you are able to create AIA billings at a very affordable price, and the learning curve for Contractor Foreman is great. Cons There were some snags in document uploading, but that may due to factors other than Contractor Foreman itself. It has worked well for the price point. The plus is not paying a per user cost. Pros Contractor Foreman offers a wide selection of modules for the contracting industry, it does well at keeping track job data and giving field crews the info they need. Cons The app does not work offline and some modules need to be polished a little. We wish media would have a two way sync instead of only one way sync. We mainly focus on the estimating and project management aspects, but also love the directory. For estimating, they offer automatic bid invites we can create and send to our subcontractors. Then our subs have the opportunity to send back a lump sum number, or a number based on the schedule of values. Contractor Foreman then automatically updates the estimate with their number/s when we accept their bid. It makes estimating a breeze! Also, as someone who manages the project documentation, compliance, insurance, bookkeeping, and all other office tasks, I LOVE the fact that it connects to quickbooks. Any project bills I upload to contractor foreman gets sent over to quickbooks online instantly! All estimates....sent to QB. All customer invoices....sent to QB. Anything involving bookkeeping and financials that I input into Contractor Foreman, gets synced to QB. Along with the directory and other things. If you have quickbooks and are looking into a project management system, GO TO CONTRACTOR FOREMAN! Best bang for your buck. It does everything almost all other project management software does, but for 1/4 of the price! Pros Ability to sync with quickbooks. Estimating and subcontractor Bid invites features. Shared calendar. Vendor, customer, subcontractor directory and details. Cons Having to refresh the page with their refresh button occasionally. " May 30, 2025 5.0 Excellent! Everyone has been very helpful. Are there a few things I'd change, sure. But they keep working on it! Pros Amazing an fast customer service, and the program is so robust. I've looked at BTrend, BPrime, CoConstruct, HouzPro, Paintscount, Dripjobs, Monday, Hubspot, and the list goes on. There is NOTHING that compares to this program for features and pricing and service. NOTHING. It is hands down the absolute ass kicker in the industry. Cons I don't love the scheduling component as a "specialty trade contractor." I know they have the CREW Scheule module, but a 1 week view is limited. The Calendar view helps, yes, but without a list of projects to place on it (like the Crew Schedule itself), this is a bit limited. I can see how the schedule module is GREAT for general contractors. But for a painter, plumber, electrician, etc.... needing to schedule a LOT of jobs, even multiple on the same day, this needs a little work. The learning modules really helped me with the software as well as verbiage. Pros The support is always ready to help me learn without making me feel incompetent. I am new to this role, only a few months. I have talked to lots of different support members and they are always helpful. I have never had to wait on anyone either. They are always available via Chat :-) Cons The Calendar hasn't ever really worked correctly, we use google calendar instead. It seems to work if they "refresh" on their end, then works for a few days then wonky again. The phone app is not as user friendly as I would like. It could be a learning curve, but I would like to see some improvements in that. Pros It is easy to use, has a great and friendly interface. It has a ample selection of tools and modules for everything I may need to manage my costs, projects and personnel, as well as invoicing and tracking finances. Cons The submittal module is a bit buggy but they constantly work on improving their software and fix the issues so I am sure they will tackle this soon. Pros The simplicity of the forms for the field staff, time tracking in the app. It made it very simple for the crew to complete the required paper work and time cards with the GPS track as well.
