The proctoring feature also goes a long way in building credibility of the assessments. So I would give the platform a 4/5 score. The library of questions is great and allows me to set up tests quickly. I like the full report I get for every candidate that takes the test, including showing the timeline and before/after differences in code. Pros The end-to-end process of inviting candidates, having them take the test and get a full report of the results, is really complete and useful. Cons I get logged out quite quickly while inactive, the timeout is a bit low. Other than that, I'm OK with everything. Reason for choosing TestDome I knew I would only test about 10-20 candidates. The other services would end up being too expensive, as they assume you will test at least 50 candidates or more. Review Source Olajide O. Pros It's very user friendly and easy to manoeuvre around the site. The tests templates are useful and are very straight forward to send out to applicants. Cons There seems to be limited reporting tools, no way of knowing the ratios of pass rates or ratio of tasks completed by the number of invites we've sent out. It's intuitive and easy to build the tests and there are a lot of questions to choose from. It's also reliable. It's the first platform that I haven't heard from engineers that they couldn't get their code to run or were having trouble submitting it which allows for a good candidate experience. Pros TestDome has been an extremely value asset to the engineering teams I lead. I was introduced to it by a colleague years ago and have brought it into 3 more companies. The value it adds and the time it saves in the recruiting process is invaluable. As an engineering leader, I've used other products in the past and find that TestDome is the most reliable and gives the best candidate experience. Plus, it has a diverse list of questions allowing you to pull together a test that is unique and doesn't have to take 2 hours to complete. Cons I wish you could get to the cheaper price point without having to buy that large number of tests. It can be hard initially to get buy-in from an organization and getting running with a nice amount of tests would help solidify TestDome's spot in the company. Hence, TestDome offers the flexibility for us to purchase credits in smaller packages, which works well for us, albeit more expensive per credit. The ease of administration and the good support from customer service make it a breeze to administer the tests remotely. We used to invite candidates to our office to undertake the tests but we had to shift this to TestDome due to Covid-19 pandemic. Cons Perhaps the administrative instructions before commencing the test can be clearer? It seems like some of the candidates do not quite understand the requirements, e.g. there is a timer to each question, not that the entire duration indicated by the timer is for the entire test and candidates can pace themselves during the test. It works really well, the results are very useful for our selection process. I'm not sure if I missed it, but the lack of tests to send caught me by surprise, a quick notification when you only have 10, would be very nice! Pros It's very easy to use, it sends notifications (which really helps when it comes to tracking), and you can export the information. Aside from the platform itself, I really like the availability from people working at test dome, to help us navigate through the platform and creating new tests according to our needs. The user experience has been smooth both to setup and for the candidate to experience. You guys make us look good as company with positions to hire. We've grown our usage of TestDome from being post-interview testing to now pre-screening testing due to the quality of the tests. Pros The set of relevant, interactive questions to choose from is highly valuable. As is the ability to see the candidate work through these questions with real-time compilation and evaluation of unit tests. Great job developing software to evaluate software developers! Cons I can't think of anything off the bat. There may be some bugs in evaluating the candidate's progression through a single question, but I'm confident you guys know about this and are working on it. Reason for choosing TestDome TestDome has adequate interactive tests that can be used to adequately tests competency in the areas we are interested in. This saves us time versus developing internal tests that accomplishes the same.
