Pros

The ability for candidates to write at a time convenient to them, the automated testing and scoring.

Cons

The time zone/time limit was a little tricky to figure out.

Pros

The amount of time we are saving the interview team when we are recruiting for new developers, permanent or contactors. We get a very quick idea where the candidate site in comparison to the rest of the other candidates

Pros

Ease of use, setting of the test and all the processes of conducting the test.

Cons

Not many questions on several important topics. There are a few difficult questions, even on important topics like react web development, big data etc.

Pros

Supports unit tests to give the candidate first feedback. I have to pay only per candidate, not by subscription time, so there are no costs if I do not hire for several months.

Cons

Tests on the "My Tests" page cannot be disabled, they only can be deleted. I would like to keep old tests, but I would be great to have them separated.

Hi Herbert, thanks for feedback. We have added support to archive tests on My Tests page in Aug 2019. Select checkbox next to tests and then select "Archive" button.

Pros

Set up technical tests quickly. One of the directors was quick to call when we had questions. Those were the only positives.

Cons

Was assured by one of the business owners/directors that it's possible to run tests without candidates having an email address to hand (we were running the tests in-house, candidates didn't have access to their email accounts). The reality was that without access to an email account they could not start the test. It caused a lot of disruption sorting that out. Then a candidate accidentally made a typo when writing his address, he couldn't access the confirmation email and we lots the test credit, there was no recovery mechanism.

Thank you for your review. Candidates only need access to their email if you invite them via email. They don't need access to email if you use a Test URL and turn off email verification. A test invite is not lost if a candidate doesn't take the test, as their invite is automatically refunded to your invite balance when the deadline expires.

The tests were very simple to setup and email to candidates and it certainly separated the wheat from the chaff.

As a user (a prospective candidate for a role in a company), this software provided me a good platform to showcase my skills

Pros

The software is very intuitive to use from the users - standpoint and emulates other popular programming test platforms like Leetcode, Hackerrank, etc. It has very useful inbuilt features like cheating prevention and its library is big enough to avoid repeating questions. The automatic grade and scoring at the end are an additional plus

Cons

The sample test questions which helps users get comfortable with the platform are limited and can be expanded

Testdome has been so useful for cutting down on testing by our CTO. We have been able to weed out a lot more candidates through this tested software.

Pros

Easy to set up different tests for different abilities and level of candidate we have. Good tracking of candidate status and good quality questions are available. There are even options to produce your own questions, should you require some more specialised testing.

Cons

Unable to check previous status changes for candidates, you can only see the latest status, so can't check back as to if a candidate has seen an email (we have had one instance of the email going into a spam folder which we picked up quickly, but if a reminder is sent, you lose that tracking)

I haven't had any issues with Testdome and it's tests. The test delivery is quick and you get sufficient with information in regards to reception and results for the recipients.

Pros

Testdome comes with a very easy-to-use interface, with the ability to customize the tests you send to your applicants.

Cons

I am not fond of the "package deal" appraoch that Testdome takes, opposed to most of their competition who uses a subscription instead.

Pros

Relatively simple to operate, UI is not full of good looking noise but instead very practical and to the point. good user support.

Cons

Some of the questions and tasks in the bank have some problems, when I pointed their attention to a few they were quickly fixed.

Support is very poor. Parts are quite unclear. Other testing options I have used were better.

Pros

The layout was okay. Easy access to the site.

Cons

Many instructions are unclear or broken up on the screen. You get message of an answer is correct but it's wrong because of their test cases. When support was asked, they stated they don't use 'test cases' but their own screens state otherwise. And support still can't explain where they are getting their tests as it is not in the specifications on all questions.

Thanks for feedback. Since you posted your review, we have added both features. Greenhouse ATS integration was released Apr 8th 2019, and option for immediate notifications (in user settings) was added Sep 11, 2019.
