It's very fast when it comes to write down ideas, exercises, arrangements and pieces when you're used to working with tablature. Pros The most attractive feature for me, as a father of two, is how fast and easy it is to use. I almost never have to search information on how to do something in Guitar Pro, it's very intuitive. Cons I really enjoy the program as it is, especially for working in tablature. It´s amazing and I can think of my musician life without it. Cons The newest versions are heavy so it´s better to have a good computer, also, the Realistic Sound Engine (RSE) doesn´t sound as good as I thought it would be. If someone needs to learn the song, having everything tabbed out with GP is invaluable. Pros I love that I can tab out my songs. The thing I liked most about this software is that you can hear playback so you can remember how things go, and you can slow down a riff to help you learn it. Cons The only thing I don't like about this software is the lack of shortcut buttons. I don't like having to manually switch between different note values. It basically just adds time to tabbing out a song which is not so great if it's complicated like a lot of our music. I can display the amount of ideas that I require at the moment, I can modify them as I want, it is great because we can get as creative as we want since the software gives us some ideas that feed our projects Cons For all those who have not had experience with similar software, it will be a little complicated and tedious at first, since with so many functions it can overwhelm beginners. Reason for choosing Guitar Pro I would really choose guitar pro because of the amount of options you have to modify any parameter that comes to mind, I haven't really tried its functions in their entirety, however I think that at least the ones I have used have served me very well and the most What's important from my point of view is that it hasn't gotten stuck with any function, which is great since it's frustrating when something doesn't work as it should in this type of program. Printing options are great and simple and sharing is a plus also Cons It has improved a lot with recent updates and I can actually not find any big issue, it crashes sometimes and this can be frustrating but is not that frequent. Pros Guitar Pro helps you learn and compose music, especially with a guitar! You can take MIDI, or guitar tabs found online, and hear it and play along. Cons There are free options out there that do just about the same (TuxGuitar springs to mind.) For $70, it's just not worth it for me. There are probably a lot of advanced features that GP has, but I simply don't use them as much. Pros En definitiva lo que mas me ha gustado de este software es la cantidad de opciones y características que posee, desde poder crear música en partituras hasta poder reproducirla y modificarla de acuerdo a tu gusto, sirve mucho al momento de crear alguna canción ya que cuenta con un gran banco de sonidos e instrumentos listos para usarse en cualquier momento, se nota que es un programa de calidad. Cons Lo menos atractivo de guitar pro creo yo que es el formato MIDI de los instrumentos, me gustaria que los instrumentos suenen mas reales, es un poco complicado al comienzo adaptarse a su uso pero con practica y tiempo en el programa le agarras mucha afinidad, fuera de esto me parece un muy buen programa al ahora de editar o crear partituras. Pros Guitar Pro has the option of turning on or off different instruments in an music sheet file, so if you only want to hear a guitar you can mute all the other instruments and have a better focus. Cons Sometimes is hard to set the time where you want to start the track, and the part of composing is really hard to use.
