It's usability, cost, and customer service can't be beat! Pros This is a very user-friendly software for social media scheduling. It is easy to understand and even easier to share and approve between teams. Cons There is very little I dislike about Loomly. Occasionally due to privacy and connected social sites' log in changes, I will have to reconnect apps and reschedule posts that failed, but that doesn't happen frequently. I also really like that I don't have to keep re connecting my business accounts constantly. It just works. Pros Ease of use. It's very easy to set up, and get started immediately! Cons The only thing I don't like about it, is that it opens multiple windows when duplicating posts between calendars. I can see how this would be helpful for many users, however, It gums up my browser when I'm working for a whole month. But other than that I LOVE IT. It was a whole CRM and really had too much functionality for us. I was constantly re-hooking all the social media accounts to the Platform and it was also not posting videos on any of the social networks at all, so I had to go to each one and post them individually. It has recently soured. I have reached out several times to try and get my content exported before the auto renewal and the support staff are not helping me get my content. It feels predatory and unkind to small businesses like mine. Pros I have been a customer for years managing my own social media and helping 1 or 2 small clients with occasional posting. I used to like how visual and simple the planning and posting process were. Cons Loomly raised my yearly price by 996% ($300/yr to $2988/yr) and only gave around 30 days notice for the price change. They did not allow me to export my content and have not proactively or clearly posted their pricing model. It feels as though they are holding my content hostage and now demanding I pay the equivalent of my last yearly fee to get my content before leaving their software. I really liked that I could schedule unlimited number of posts in the basic plan. Pros Loomly has been a very easy to use software to manage our social media output. Creating and scheduling is a breeze with it. Cons I wish there was a free version of Loomly. I know I know. We can't get everything for free and that's fine, I just don't always get to test a service in the trial period they give you for free. October 13, 2020 5.0 My overall experience with Loomly has been positive. It's helped us save a TON of time when it comes to organizing social media posts. We wouldn't be able to keep up with the constant social media posting if it wasn't for Loomly! Pros Loomly helps us create and organize all of our social media posts in one easy-to-use calendar. We can schedule Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and more social posts in the Loomly platform. I love the calendar view, where we can easily see all of our social posts in one section. I also love that you can drag-and-drop to quickly reschedule certain posts, making it very easy to organize and plan out our calendar. The auto-posting function is great, where it automatically publishes your posts to your social media accounts, saving us time and energy. There is also a great approval system where you can submit your posts for review if another coworker in your company would like to review them first before publishing. Cons I don't love that Loomly doesn't integrate with Instagram. Loomly can automatically publish your social posts to Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin, but it doesn't connect to Instagram. You have to go through another 3rd party website called Zapier which costs money and is a little complicated to set up (it's also very glitchy in our experience). So we still have to manually publish our Instagram posts each day. Switched from [Google Docs](https://www.capterra.com/p/160756/Google-Docs/) We originally were using Google Docs to create and plan out our social media posts, which did not work at all. We were creating new Google Docs each week, and commenting our edits on each post. There was a lot of back-and-forth communication between coworkers that needed to happen to just get one post approved and published. It was very inconvenient and messy. Loomly helped us solve all that by having the calendar function, easy approval process, commenting section, and the automatic publishing feature too. It seems that this software is mostly geared toward Instagram, as that's what most updates/improvements seem to be for. Pros It's got a very clean and simple look. One glance at the calendar will tell me what my social media scheduling looks like for the next several weeks, and I can easily see where I might need to add content. I also love that I can easily move posts around in the calendar to reschedule, which I do often. I appreciate that I can edit photos within Loomly, and I also like that is offers suggestions about what to potentially post about that day, when are good times to post, length of post, etc. I also like that when I tag someone, I can click on their name in the draft and it'll take me to their page, so I can ensure it's the right one (so many have similar names!). I definitely appreciate that I can tag individuals on LinkedIn through Loomly, and not just companies...for some reason, a majority of software I was looking at did not have this feature. Cons I REALLY wish I could just have a scrolling calendar that doesn't end. It always bugs me that I can only see 1 month at a time...especially toward the end of the month. And no matter how many times I change the view to "next 4 weeks", it always defaults back to showing me a single month at a time. It's also frustrating when there are multiple companies with the same or similar names, and it's impossible to tell which is the one you want without adding it to the post, and then clicking on it to confirm. It would be nice if you could set certain companies/pages up as "favorites" for the ones you use often, so that they come up first. It's also frustrating that as of late, they don't show your tags on X. You have to know the handle of who you want to tag, and you don't get any sort of preview. Overall, I feel like they spend more time and effort improving the software for Instagram posting, and everything else sort of takes a backseat. Reason for choosing Loomly Best features (especially tagging individuals on LinkedIn) AND best price. Demoed several other software options, and this one stood out to me as the best. It was easy to learn, simple to use, and affordable. I'm able to schedule out our social media across many channels for multiple accounts. I appreciate how I can 'set it and forget it' for the certain social accounts. Cons The few things I struggle with the most are not having Loomly auto publish to Instagram. I understand that this is in the works and will hopefully happen soon. The other pieces are not being able to edit photos within the system such as cropping or minor adjustments to photo editing, and having an emoji feature to add to the content. Once we interacted with the customer service representatives to help set up our account that solidified our decision. The Loomly team was dedicated o ensuring our success on their platform and we felt that from every interaction we had with them. We truly get the VIP treatment every time we reach out with a question or concern! Cons I would like to be able to post multi-photo or "carousel" posts on Instagram without manually going in to edit as well as be able to tag users under define content. It have made managing and posting to our social media accounts so much easier. The ability to schedule post is such a nice feature especially when it comes to Holiday post. Most Holidays we are out of the office so it is nice to be able to schedule the post before we leave and not have to worry about it the day of. Pros I loved being able to post to all of our social media without having to sign in to each app. Loomly allows me to post to all of them through one app and that is what I love most about it. Cons I do not like how different the process for tagging people in the post is through different social medias. Pros With Loomly, after linking it to our social media pages, we can control a lot of operations and data, as Loomly, through effective scheduling, enables us to organize publishing times or publish at the same time on all platforms. It is also good that we can make several copies of the same publication and format them independently to suit the requirements of different platforms. It's also great that Loomly is able to capture and collect meaningful data about interactions with our posts. It can be customized to show only details or filter that i needed. Scheduling time for the content to be posted on the same time for all the platform is very easy. Cons There are many of the features that are available before but not available anymore. We used to be able to included Instagram to the schedule post, but it is not possible no more and Instagram is one of the biggest social media platform that we had. My only negative feedback is the inability to auto-post with Instagram unless you have a Buffer account. I'd also like to customize what steps I take when scheduling. (For example, I always skip the "audiences/filters" feature when scheduling for Facebook, and I'd like the option to get rid of that step entirely because I won't use it for my clients.) Otherwise, the interface is smooth, easy-to-use and learn, and helps me write and schedule content more efficiently. Pros I LOVE that you can write the content once and then tailor each set of copy for each social media channel. For example, the exact same copy that works for Facebook doesn't always work for Instagram & Twitter. With Loomly, you can write it once and then go into each platform and customize your content to include hashtags, shorten links, etc. You can also upload custom photos for each platform. Other social media schedulers only allow for one set of copy across all the platforms you choose, making it cumbersome and time-consuming when you have multiple platforms to schedule. Cons I cannot stand the fact that you have to also have a Buffer account to enable auto-posting with Instagram. I really, really wish they'd figure out a way to allow auto-posting instead of getting push notifications on my phone without having to have a Buffer account. I don't want to have to pay for two social media schedulers. Loomly would be nearly perfect if not for that huge flaw. This was by far the best and has a ton of features that made my life so much easier. Loomly recently added alt text options for many platforms which was clutch. I loved that you could schedule one post on multiple platforms all at once with slight variations, as needed. The automatic resize features for photos was so helpful for making sure that everything was platform-appropriate. My favorite feature was the calendar view where I could see everything I had planned out in one easy-to-see view. I even found the analytics to be helpful - they are what I relied on for weekly analytics reports! Cons I don't have much to complain about with Loomly but I will say that, occasionally, a post would fail to publish without explanation. I actually got my new agency to move to it, and it's been incredible. I love the fine-tuning and organic targeting options. Cons No IG direct publishing and new items like Pinterest broke right when i got my clients excited about them. This was fixed, but items shouldn't be rolled out if it's not 100% i can sell to a client and rely on it 100% of the time. Manager Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Loomly Review" August 4, 2019 4.0 Pros Loomly to me is a well advanced social media manager because it helps me to upload custom image for each social media platforms unlike other software in this category will only allow one image for all social media selected, this has also helped me to write custom post for each social media platforms in the format they are suppose to be posted because all platforms don't work with same format, like the format you'll use on twitter is different from instagram, but other software in this category accept only one post format across all chosen social media platforms. Loomly customer support is on point, I had an issue and they solved it without wasting much time. Personally I feel Loomly delivers the service I paid for satisfactorily. Cons Loomly email notification is really an headache for me, I wish I could disable it, but unfortunately there is no way to disable email notification unless I unsubscribe to the channel, actually social media app notifications is enough in this regard.
