Pros What I like most about Loomly is that the layout of the desktop site and mobile app are easy to use and simple to navigate. I love that you can schedule posts across multiple social media platforms, making it easier than ever to post new information about projects, due dates and other important documents (especially when you may not have the time each day to post certain updates). I love that you also receive email and mobile notifications about your upcoming posts. Cons What I like least about Loomly is that one time I scheduled a post for Friday at 4pm however the post didn't post until 6pm...not sure if that was a user mistake or if the system glitched. Pros The review workflow is essential to ensuring the quality of our posts. The calendar view helps us cover important dates and events. The tagging system gives us a high-level view of how often we are posting about every topic we care about. Cons The library is pretty clunky -- there aren't folders to help keep media organized. The batch-processing options are limited -- we can't select-all and change 30 posts from draft to scheduled, for example. Still no way to post directly to Instagram, and gating that option behind the use of Loomly to manage our Facebook ads doesn't work for us because we already have an established workflow for that. The integration with Buffer works pretty well as a stopgap for posting to Instagram, though. It’s helped us organize our social media accounts and it’s very helpful with how easy it is to schedule the same post to different networks at the same time. Pros I love how easy it is to look back at old posts and see what you’ve posted. I really love the suggestions before posting something. And the weird holidays over on the side. I love that you can set people to certain roles where some have to get approval first. I love how easy it is to set up a post and get it posted within minutes! Cons I don’t like the Instagram function. It’s very difficult to schedule something on Instagram.. it might be Instagram itself, but I’ve tried scheduling videos and pictures and it seems to have different excuses of why I can’t post. It also only lets you post the first picture. I’d like to see it be able to post multiple pictures on Instagram since IG has that capability now. It's been a great experience using Loomly and I highly recommend it compared to other schedulers I've used (Crowdfire & Hootsuite) Pros The UI of Loomly's calendar is great. The layout makes it super simple to use. The customizability is awesome and I have almost all the features I have to manage posts to different channels. Cons I wish the analytics were able to be manipulated more - I'm paying for the lowest level though. I know the higher levels have more customizability. I also wish they had native posting to Instagram but that's something 95% of schedulers struggle with. Cons I wish you were more easily able to duplicate a post by simply dragging it or editing the time directly from the calendar view, rather than having to go in and edit the entire post. Loomly has satisfied all of our needs and then some. Pros It's simple, easy to use. The interface is intuitive and well thought out. There are plenty of options for social media management software, and they are all very, very expensive. This does everything we need without breaking the bank. Cons The most issues we've had are with auto-publishing across multiple networks. Not sure if there are API issues, or connectivity issues with third parties but that is the extent of our frustration. I have used a myriad of tools from different companies, however Loomly is my current favorite that I am also recommending to other social media professionals and online content creators. What I love most is -Easy to use and scalable - Interface can be scaled down for one user or scaled up for multiple users/approvals. - Helpful suggestions from current events to how to format your copy per platform. - Generalized copy that you can customize per platform. - You can schedule the same post for different times per platform - Preview of what your copy and visual assets will actually look like per platform - You can configure your Facebook scheduling from Loomly too - Customer service has been great. Cons The only thing that is missing from Loomly is more analytics information. Step one would be to bring in analytics from each platform. Step two would be to combine analytics across platforms. Last time I heard they are currently working on more analytics for future versions of Loomly. Cons The single drawback to our organization is that Instagram publishing is a manual activity. The application will send a reminder notification that it's time to publish, but a human still has to complete the process. This con is outweighed by many of the pros. Pros Loomly is very easy to use. I have been able to quickly learn about the features, and share these with colleagues and clients. The different views of the social media calendar (ie. client view) are very helpful for sending out monthly calendars without inundating clients with too much information. Cons It can be difficult to type in the date/time since it has a set format. It took some getting use to. In addition, there are some features such as tagging users in a photo on Instagram or creating different formats of Facebook posts that are not available. I have to go directly to the social media outlet to do these things rather than completing everything on Loomly. Posting is quick thanks to being able to make content for several platforms all at once. Calendar view makes it simple to see how much content is scheduled. I love being able to see the overview of content and what works best when and move or shift things around on the calendar if I need to. This was a game changer financially for me. More money in my pocket and more money toward paid and sponsored posts I would have been paying to an agency. Pros I love the ability to schedule all of my facebook posts for the week ahead and batch my work. It means I don't have to think about facebook for days at a time instead of constantly be searching for and posting new content. I also love that I can schedule ahead if I happen to find something extra or have extra time and all my content is saved so if I am running low on ideas I can look back a couple months and repost something again with new flavor or spin. Cons I would love better integration with IG but I know you guys are working on that. It is incredibly easy to use, allowing me to spend less time on social media and get back to my other work. It also gives tips for the best times of day to post on the specific platforms, as well as tips for text length. You can also add a target audience and/or boost a post for Facebook. The calendar view is great because you can have a quick look at what you have scheduled and see if you need to add posts for the week. Helps my team stay in the loop and keeps us all on the same page as we review and publish content. Cons There isn't a lot of analytics behind your social performance, during the review process a LOT of emails are sent out for edits - it can be overwhelming or cause your team to miss something due to the quantity, and you can not choose one or two people of your approvers to look at a post - you can only send to one person or all. Also - When you choose to do a link preview, sometimes it posts nicely and other times, it minimizes the picture and puts the link preview to the right of the photo. Unfortunately, it will not let you choose the style you want the post to publish when using a link - and if you don't use the link previewer, your image will not be hyperlinked. Pros I love that I can create core content then customize across platforms. Takes the stress out of using multiple tools for multiple platforms. Cons I wish I could pre-set ideal times to post on each platform so that I wouldn't have to set it every time I did a post. VR Verified Reviewer Marketing Digital Business Supplies and Equipment Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Like Hootsuite, but more visual, easy to use and cheaper" July 5, 2018 5.0 Pros The pros are: - It is very visual and intuitive - The customer service is great - The relationship price/value - To be able to fine tune for each channel - To be able to export the calendar - To be able to assign different roles to people for free (customers, workers...) - You have metrics - Tracking of the personalized URL (if you use it) - Phone alarm and email alarm for different events - Email update for incidents (pending aproval posts for example) - You can leave comments to colaborators And many more I'm now happy Hootsuite customer service was terrible and they wanted to charge me 500$/month for the same this app has for less than 200$ Cons The cons are: - No automatic best time to publish - No auto publish on Instagram (you have to spend one network to connect it to buffer) - No possibility to mention on facebook - If you duplicate a post it does not duplicate the fine tunning for chanel - No scalable, if you have more than 50 channels the price difference is too much. The options to view full calendar, as a list and by post is really helpful to quickly navigate as is the labelling feature. Quickly adding hashtags, icons and photos from the library saves a heap of time, also allowing quick drafting of posts on the go from the mobile app. Workflow is super easy with post prompts , copy length recs and time/date for posting and client role management. Overall the site looks beautiful and I really enjoy using it. Pros Client approval on posts and client access Workflow options User interface - the site is lovely to use Ease of posting to instagram - the mobile app is easy to use The calendar overviews with list option. Library snippets Ease of adding clients and managing their role Cons Plans - The leap from 2 users to 6 has made it difficult to slowly scale up my business providing Social Media Management. Calendars - I can't join calendars with my account, I have to be counted as a user on a client account. Would be nice to have feed searches. Option to choose country of posting with regards to post prompts - most are USA not UK.
