I would definitely recommend this tool to anyone that has more than one person writing content for their social media. Pros The best thing about Loomly is being about to utilize it easily with multiple people on our social team. I love being able to approve content from anywhere and plan out in the future with our team of 4 people. Cons I wish you could add images and videos to the library from your mobile device. Right now I have to send photos from my phone to my laptop and then upload them to Loomly from there. That process needs to be a little easier. I think general functionality on the mobile app could be improved. Additionally, the comprehensive and comparative reporting from week-to-week or month-to-month compiled for each clients' calendar is easy to generate; a click of the button, and easy for the client to read and understand because each and every assigned active social media account associated with the calendar is neatly compiled into one report. No more multiple sourced social media reports from each individual platform. Loomly has saved me hours and hours of work each month. Cons The biggest thing missing for any one providing an all-encompassing social media management solution is the "listening". You are not able to read or respond to post comments or direct messages to the social pages from within Loomly. This is strictly a scheduling and reporting application. Additionally, if you are creating specialized post creations inside a social platform (ex: slideshows in Facebook), or are publishing content to a blog, there's no way to really indicated this on the calendar or note in client reports. Cons The ONLY issue I have with Loomly is that it can't post to Instagram yet, but I know they're working on it! I love that I can set posts up for approval from my client. Pros This software is very clean and convenient. It's very easy to use. If there's something that you want or need and you can't find it, their customer service is the absolute best!!!! They will answer you immediately with a real person and either tell you how to do what you needed to do, or add it to their list of new features that they'll add in. Cons Any features that are missing, they've already addressed and are working to fix/add, so I really don't have much to complain about. It would be nice if you could preload a bank of posts for a calendar in a place other than in a calendar so when you wanted to use it/duplicate it or recycle it you could find it more quickly than having to go back to when you originally posted it or make it from scratch. They have a prompt section, so basically making a second one for user use. I'm able to schedule weeks in advance without having to log in daily to check if content is going out to the consumer/customer. Pros I do love how easy Loomly is to navigate. For different social postings (FB, Insta, Pinterest, Twitter), the software walks you through requirements for each (i.e. Different max lengths for different platforms). If there's a problem, Loomly notifies you before being able to schedule your specific post. Cons There are bugs, specifically on Instagram posts. However, fixes are in the pipeline per the company. (I've had several online convos with their customer service team, and they're also very accessible and helpful.) Pros It's very intuitive and simple to use. I like being able to schedule all in one place, so it makes handling social media across several clients and my own business easy. Having results metrics all in one place is another positive. Cons I'd like to be able to download the calendars 'ungrouped,' so I can show clients when things posted, not when the posts were created; that's not meaningful to them. Additionally, it would be helpful to be able to tag individuals on LinkedIn, not just businesses. It would also be nice to be able to group calendars together. For example, for a couple of clients, I run their personal Linkedin pages and their business pages, so seeing all the results aggregated would be helpful. The calendar drag and drop feature also makes life easier, and you can create one post and schedule it for multiple platforms really easily Cons We don't always use the auto-scheduling feature, instead we use quick posts to map out our coming weeks. If you don't mark a post as scheduled you get a notification email saying it hasn't gone live. Would like a feature where you can just pencil a post in with no scheduling. May 7, 2018 5.0 Pros From the multiple calendar views right on through the library and optional client approval process, this is hands down, the most complete social media management tool out there. The customer service is brilliant and they are updating often. With the built in connections to other software, Loomly is my dashboard for all things social media. Cons I would like the ability to colour code my own dashboard (or at least customise from the standard set-up), but the developers are quick to respond to my suggestions. I would also like an in-built message system for my clients. The way it is set up now is not intuitive (especially for clients who are not web savvy) and when things like the Library is updated, I don't get an automatic notification. August 9, 2019 5.0 Instead of spending hours each morning posting on social media, I spend one hour once a week and I'm done for the week. When I go out of town, my posts are scheduled ahead of time and I don't have to worry about it. Pros I LOVE that it's not a spreadsheet!! I love the two different view options (calendar and list). Makes it so easy for me to see at-a-glance what my social media calendar looks like for the week. Love it. Cons Minor quibble - wish emojis were included (I use them a lot). I wind up having to cut and paste, but compared to all the positives with Loomly, this is minute. Reason for choosing Loomly #1 reason was no spreadsheet. I needed something visual that I could look at to see my social media posts. The interface is easy, the prompts to the next step, the ability to edit quickly and seamlessly. It's also allowed us to give our social media manager some free time back, as the pre-scheduling feature works smoothly. Pros The ease of setup and use and ability to view posts in a month view easily were the biggest factors in selecting Loomly for our social media management. Loomly has proven to be a key tool for our social media manager, who exclaimed yesterday, months into use, "I just LOVE Loomly!" Being able to setup a post for both Instagram and Facebook with optimized customizations for each, in one screen is fantastic. Cons I really can't think of any cons for Loomly. I suppose it can't cook us dinner... but that's really not a fair ask. Cons It isn't the cheapest option, but it is still value for money due to the time savings. Better intergration with Instagram and being able to tag events in Facebook would be ideal. June 6, 2018 4.0 It provides me the social media management software I need to manage my clients. Pros 1\. The pricing is the best in class. You can't go wrong with them at their price points. Low monthly cost for being able to manage multiple accounts and users. 2. Very easy to use with a low barrier to entry in getting up and running. 3. The feature set vs. pricing is top notch. You basically get everything you need at a price typically 1/3 less then everyone else. 4. They are very responsive to support and feedback. Cons 1\. Month view calendar could be a bit more functional. 2. RSS feed imports at random early morning times and would work better with a feature to automate the time these come in at. 3. The post suggestions have been incredibly helpful and the creation of a content calendar automatically has saved us so much time. Overall, we are very pleased with the software. Multiple employees can schedule posts and submit for approval, while Loomly gives us intuitive post suggestions and fills out our content calendar so everything appears at a glance. Honestly all of the platforms have their downfalls. Pros It is very easy to review the work of my team and approve their work or let them know what needs altered.
