Pros The fasts cans, I have Norton as well, and Webroot kills norton on speed, and also program size crushes norton! Cons uhhhhh, can't think of one. Maybe a better way to roll it out on a mass scale? Oh I have run into an issue using images, and webroot got confused on what machine was what. They need to fix that. Review Source DP David P. Pros Webroot has very secure admin settings to prevent users from disabling it. It catches many heuristics and other quetionable activity. Cons It uses a good deal of resources. Pros I like that it pulls the filters from a cloud storage location and not store them locally on the hard drive. Cons This software can be taxing on the memory and CPU. As a result I try to have it run late at night when I'm using my machines. It came bundled with my computer when I bought it. I especially liked the automatic scans so I didn't have to even think about the security of my laptop. I like it running in the background. Pros Software is super lightweight, and hardly uses any resources. Includes versioning for rollback after an infection. It has been able to detect and stop malware/ransomware that was too new to be detected by our other systems. The admin interface is well laid out and easy to use with a wealth of configuration options. Cons requires constant internet connection. Customer service and community is excellent as well. Cons Just that we didn't purchase it sooner. One thing that could be a complaint is that there isn't anything in the installer that will remove any existing antivirus already on the machine, similar to what bitdefender does. We have used this on many of our laptops that are used in the field. Cons I do wish this would update a little more frequently and that the license term was longer. The setting up of the restrictions were quite simply. Pros This software is so easy to use. A very quick installation process, from a standard link. Has an excellent malware protection. Notification message at the time of blocking a site, is very useful. Cons The lack of a client interface available of the desktop. An administrative login is needed to access basic information. I would pick Webroot time and time again. Pros It's much easier to say what I don't like about Webroot. We moved from Vipre Buisness, and immediately dropped our malware related tickets by 75%. We deployed Webroot out to many different sites (MSP) and found that Vipre was missing a tremendous amount . Cons The UI could be slightly better? Other than that I don't have any complaints. I've used this a few times for some of the companies I have worked for and it's very powerful and protecting your computer from the point onward of when you install. Cons There were very few issues I saw with this software. Granted, I did not use it probably long enough to find many bugs, but I could tell there was some slight glitches if you needed to use various IP address integrating with the various cloud servers. That being said, that's not something most people are going to have to worry about and often plagues many different software programs with dealing the various firewalls. It comes with 25 GB cloud backup for your top priority files. Lite on resources and aggressive with threats. Strongly recommended. Pros I loved the software how it handles the threats and manage to use very small amount of resources.
