Pros Webroot is a small, efficient client with a cloud back-end enabling quick and reliable detection and elimination of malware and other threats. Cons There isnt much on this list. The only frustration I have had is it can be slow to update the client when changes are made from the GSM console. Review Source Blessen Sam M. Technical support Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "A very average AV" April 13, 2021 4.0 Webroot definitely has a long way to go before it will be recommended to anyone as it is very weak but then again it's size is only like 10% of most other AV software and does not slow the pc down. Pros Webroot is very small in size and does not use much resources of the pc to run unlike most AV. It has a very decent virus scan and browser add-on. Cons Very weak AV which is not reliable. Saw lots of tests online where webroot gets very bad results as it failed to detect and remove threats. It's not power at all and will not recommended to anyone. Have had zero problems since installing it. Pros Seamless integration with Chrome, has worked flawlessly so far. Very non-intrusive. It is really easy & fast installation. Cons I feel like it is a little bit pricey. It found a couple things that my other program didn't find and I was able to clean them up before they caused me problems. It seems to play well with other programs. Cons I'm not sold on it because I did the free trial. I used it on a laptop that is mainly my travel and personal device, so the 2 week trial didn't get it done for me because of my limited use with it. If I had a full month of time with it, that might be different. I liked what I saw, I just needed to see a little more. You can try the cheap version first. Pros I used the Webroot SecureAnywhere version for free about 5 years ago and it worked very well, protecting me from common viruses. Cons Since I used the free version, it was a bit behind on what I needed to use it for. I have found other antivirus/antimalware products that detected more threats. Pros There are a few things I really liked in the newest version of Webroot. I found it had much improved detection of browser-based exploits over previous versions. I also liked the ability to undo changes if you are hit by ransomeware. I would gladly recommend this to anyone with a computer and concerned about their online safety. Very user friendly and easy to read and follow. Pros This program is absolutely wonderful. Unlike other interfaces, this one is easy to follow and understand. It basically tells you what it's doing and when and if it finds some questionable material, it'll let you know about it and give you several options to deal with it. I also noticed that running this in the background did not and will not, at least on my end, slow my computer down at all. You don't even know it's there. Cons Again, this software didn't detect some things that other brands did BUT it did detect the most so that's good as far as I'm concerned. No one ever knew it was there. Even on the older PC's, Webroot did not drag it down. Cons Sometimes the scanning would happen in the morning if a computer was turned off over night. This frustrated some people greatly. It was free so why not. The biggest draw for me to buy it instead of my Norton which was always what I got was that it was an anti-virus software but also anti-spyware. November 20, 2018 1.0 Pros I can honestly say that I have nothing positive to say about Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection. Cons Not only is Webroot inconsistent with what it blocks, it is extremely difficult to get it to allow a program through. Disabling or pausing protection does nothing, even when trying to allow access to a legitimate site or process. Attempting to remove this program is when the real nightmare begins. This software is nothing short of \*RansomWare\*. The convoluted process the user must go through just to reclaim their device is horrifying.
