I got charged to scan like 10 bills and have them generate checks for me.

Cons

Terrible customer service. The rep put me on a higher plan than I wanted to sign up for. When I saw the bill and challenged him on it - he was a ghost. I then tried to cancel. And they charged me for months after I told them to cancel. This place is like the Hotel California - you can never leave. Really my terrible local bank's online bill pay is mostly the same feature set as Bill.com. The iPad app is also terrible. I do not recommend this company at all.

### "Most Frustating App Experience"

Hands down the worst business application I have used. This tool manages money and there is absolutely no excuse for such a poorly designed non functioning tool that disappears payments. It is probably going to take me hours to sort this out and I already have very unhappy contractors because I chose to take a risk on this software.

Pros

Nothing except the concept, it would have been very convenient if I could have used this to RELIABILTY pay my contractors using a tool I could TRUST with peace mind. This tool offers none of those things.

Cons

I am so frustrated, I signed up for this app to pay our contract workers, and it's been over a week and electronic payments have not been sent. Furthermore the ability to track the payments seems to have disappeared as payments that 3 days occur showed as 'processed' and waiting for the 'sent' status, now no longer show up at all, I have no idea what happened to them. Are they there lurking in the background only to be paid at some mysterious later date resulting in a double payment, as I have to get my contract workers paid and I have no idea what the heck is going on as I can't even see transactions in order cancel. All in all just about the worst business application I have used. The login is a joke, even after signing up when you try to access it via QuickBooks it takes you to their 'sales' page, no SSO or even a login page from QB. I work in software, and it is obvious that the integration between QuickBooks and this app is clearly half baked. As it is I have no idea if these payments are truly gone or not. You need to properly test this product before putting it into production, these types of bugs are inexcusable.

Pros

It is simple to use and easy to integrate with, with lots of options to work around. It provides excellent tools to fulfill your ecommerce needs and very rigid on data security. Overall an excellent choice.

Cons

Nothing bad except little bit pricier and customer support is mid ranked sometime on weekends.

### "Easy to use"

From a user perspective it was very easy to use. Email your vendor invoice to the platform, log in to code and approve it. Or assign it to a different approver.

Pros

As a user, it was really easy to get invoices into Bill.com (just email them to the platform), and then easy to code and approve expenses. I would get an email whenever I had something new to approve. I was able to search vendors for old invoices when I was researching costs for a closed project.

Cons

Nothing, from my perspective it worked just fine and I did not have any issues with it at all. Quick and easy.

No complaints with using this system as any user can easily learn and understand the process.

Pros

Cost of the system if super inexpensive and the capabilities work smoothly with Quickbooks, very user-friendly and paperless

Cons

The more you print, the costs will increase. I wish there was a set amount you could pay monthly.

Like I said, it definitely made getting paid easier because my invoices were going directly into my client's billing system. Once I started using this with my client, there was no delay in payment at all.

Pros

One of my clients uses it and asked me to use it to invoice them. Once it was set up properly, I found it fairly easy to use, and it did speed up my payment turnaround quite a bit.

Cons

It didn't have tiers of functionality - this was obviously developed with a power user in mind. For my type of work, it felt like overkill. A simpler invoicing template would have been helpful, rather than my having to create a more complex invoice than I needed. It's also not always intuitive - some key invoicing functions are sometimes hidden within another function. However, it wasn't anything I couldn't sort out with some digging.

Pros

I am a user with my company and I love this billing software. It notifies you of the different stages as a payment is coming through which relieves anxiety/stress of getting paid. In my opinion, this is perfect for companies who contract independent contract workers.

I do not have any complaints nor dislikes.

Pros

The permissions are customizable, you can be very particular about how the QuickBooks sync happens, and the approval workflows are great. I appreciate being able to connect to Hubdoc, QBO, and Tallie, among other apps.

Cons

The customer service is awful. It used to be great, but now you’re lucky to get an email back at all. That is my biggest complaint. Coming in second is the other side of the customization piece: there are lots of ways to make things happen that you don’t want to happen. There are cheaper, simpler solutions out there for the less technologically initiated.

Pros

Bill.com is a great way to invoice clients, track and get paid in a timely manner. My clients use this which makes it incredibly easy to coordinate.

Cons

There isn't anything that I don't like about the software. I don't use every feature but it has been a great way to get paid fast.

Pros

It was great to use bill.com for paying some of our delivery drivers and other staff that was part time. I would recommend for small to medium sized businesses. I liked the ease of use, tracking time and pay for contractors when we remodeled the restaurant as well.

Cons

I would like a little more q&a section to learn any functions I don't know as well. Other than that I don't have a lot of complaints.

Great customer service, onboarding new clients is much improved from when I first started using them years ago. Only issue - per client price is high considering we are also paying for usage. As a firm it would be great to have better pricing.

Pros

Super fast invoice setup and sending, really allows for deals to get done and paid for in a short time.

Cons

I wish there were more editing options for changing billing info. I'm not always the one that creates the invoice, so if there was a way to allow the sales or customer success people an admin level to make changes without always bothering the finance team, that would be great. Example: we put the wrong PO number on the bill; instead of asking the bill creator to fix it, I could go and make the change since I'm speaking with the customer on a more regular basis.

This company is a scam. I have, in writing, confirmation of my credit limit, statement credit and monthly rewards. Even with confirmation in writing for months now, my credit limit was reduced with no notification and on time payments since inception.

Pros

It works when it wants to and when it does, it's fine. This shouldn't be complicated. It is a credit card.

Cons

Auto payments drafted from my account monthly which is fine. I usually pay all of my credit cards earlier than the due date anyways.

Reason for choosing BILL Accounts Payable & Receivable

I was promised great support, statement credits and monthly rewards.

It's the program everyone with a bank account needs. If you are starting in business, only AFTER BillDotCcom should one add accounting, for example. Using BillDotCcom will take care of 80% of the accounting work so you won't need a bookkeeper, you can have your CPA close out the month for you and when you get to the end of the year your BOOKE to TAXES will be done. Plus working with the CPA you'll get advice and Engagement you need at the beginning. In the meantime you will know where you money is at all time with a few minutes a day. No more paperwork either. You will have all your records attached to your cancelled checks so if anyone questions your payment you can answer anytime from anywhere. Just go the the payment and everything affiliated with that payment like a bill, emil, whatever is there for you to print, email etc. Awesome.

Pros

I like that I can log into bill.com and see whether or not my clients have approved their invoices for payment. We constantly battle late payments - so it is helpful to see if they have approved it or not.

Cons

I wish there was a way to formally nudge clients who are late in payments. Like Quickbooks Online where you can send reminders and past due notice templates.

I enjoy the ease of use of the platform and overall it wasn't too difficult to learn and administer into our companies processes', would recommend!

I least enjoy that our clients have to create their own accounts for setup/there is a bit of work on the frontend to make it a functional solution.

Bill.com really does save a lot of time in the payables process. The online storage, the easy way to pay bills (& confirmation of paid bill), the seamless sync with accounting software - that's a 3 for 1 deal! I really like that we can offer it as a value added to our client base - our clients can now feel comfortable knowing they are using latest & greatest accounting technology in a very collaborative way. This is a win-win for both our client and us. This is a must do business model.

Pros

Ease of use, great way to collaborate, strengthens client/CPA relationship, love the portal and the portability of it.

Cons

Haven't gotten to try the receivables or Tallie side of it yet, reporting function can be a bit more robust, would like to see an audit tail report

Pros

My primary client used paper checks to pay contractors until recently switching to Bill.com. Now vendors and contractors receive payment from the company via direct deposit. This has saved a lot of hassle and postage for the paying company, and the worry of postal delays or lost checks for those of us receiving the payments.

Cons

The integration with QuickBooks on the free tier is not full baked, and I think to get the software to perform the syncing I'm looking for, I'd have to upgrade to a paid tier. Other than that, I think it does take several days for payments to process and actually deposit into the recipient's bank account, so the payer has to time their payment processing accordingly and leave plenty of lead time.

Being able to see if a customer has approved an invoice for payment.

Pros

It is nice having billing consolidated in one place, and being able to see if a customer has approved an invoice for payment.

Cons

In general, I've found the product a 'nice to have' but in no way necessary. With how many large companies have their own billing portals, it makes so this is not one stop shopping for your AR function.
