Pros: The Timeslips conversion performed the TimeSolv made my transition to the new platform easy. My quirky client/numbering system was preserved in TimeSolv, make all new clients and cases congruent with my old data.

Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve, and associating contacts with every new client/case is cumbersome compared to Timeslips. This is due to the aforementioned quirky format I prefer to make it work with the paper files.

Overall: Timeslips is a hulking horror legacy software from the 1990's. Converting to Timesolv was a huge improvement.

The conversion from Timeslips to Timesolv was completely smooth and painless.

Pros: Timesolv is very user friendly and visually pleasing. Despite the significant amount of data our law firm has stored, there are no lag times whatsoever with any of Timesolv's functions, unlike Timeslips. You can move between screens instantaneously, saving considerable amounts of time. Timesolv can handle a high volume of billing with absolute ease, and it can handle a variety of different types of invoices like fixed fee, split billing, etc. They provide you with your own Timesolv expert to assist with the initial conversion as well as any questions/concerns as long as you have this software, whose responsiveness is unrivaled. Simply put, moving from Timeslips to Timesolv is like transporting straight to the modern age from the stone ages.

Cons: The reporting is surprisingly limited. There are not as many options for report generation as we would like to see. However, they are very receptive to feedback and are working on improving this feature.

Easy transition thanks to the TimeSolv team.

Pros: Accessibility - I can access TimeSolv and my account from anywhere there is an internet connection. The complete account is accessible. I can be travelling and enter time, send my bills out, and check on invoices. Additionally, this has helped me log more time as I do not "forget" to input time while I am on the road or away from my desk.

Cons: The mobile application is horrendous. Out of date and completely not useable. It needs to be integrated with the online platform so I can access a list of clients and input my time. With the ever-increasing commonality of mobile device use (iPhone and ipad for example) TimeSolv really needs to step up their game and get on the mobile platform ASAP.
