Pros I like the easy implementation of the software and the varied features, especially those concerning network and computer security. Cons I didn't like that it hoged my system and slowed it down to a point where I had to either restart the computer or close and restart the software. I like it so much that I have purchased a six year extension to my existing contract. Pros I travel all over the world and need to work with client data from public WIFIs. I have tried a few free VPNs, but they were all too slow. Nord has servers in many countries and is fast. In the last two years, they added even faster connections with Nord Lynx. From time to time, I read technical reviews and haven't seen anything negative about Nord spying or selling your data. This VPN is really fast and easy to use. I have it on my chrome browser, on my laptop, and on my android phone. Cons The only thing I have had trouble with is that it logs you out a lot after periods of not using it. It isn't much of a hassle to reenter your credentials to be able to use it again. March 6, 2019 4.0 NordVPN is excellent for safe browsing and it keeps me away from unwanted hackers. My experience so far is great. Pros NordVPN provides the best security at affordable prices. Nord has enormous list of servers around the world and let the users choose which city they want to connect with. The feature i like the most is that it does not log user's activity and keeps the connection secure. On top of all it works with Netflix and it's super amazing. Cons Androids app glitches sometime and i have encountered disconnection, once it is disconnected it tries to auto-connect to the closest server and forgets which server i was connected with before. Cons Price maybe. You can find coupons over there and if you're lucky you can find a decent price. But it's not super expensive. Paid for 3 years of service and go money back towards another product they offered. Pros I recently switched to Nord from Express VPN due to cost. I use a VPN daily as I work in healthcare and being on a public wi-fi can be very tricky when it comes to privacy. I had my credit card information stolen less than a week after starting this job after learning 3 other people in the office were affected with the same thing I knew it had to be because of using a public wi-fi. Ever since then, anytime I am using a public wi-fi I will connect to Nord. Cons The only con I can see was when their servers were "hacked". Pros Protecting my online privacy is my number one priority, and with NordVPN, I can comfortably install and use it anywhere. And the internet kill switch is my favorite feature since it ensures my traffic is well encrypted. Moreover, the pricing is just excellent, and the ability to use in my computer and phone makes it my ideal tool. Cons The Company reduced the payment options making it hard to make the payment since it sometimes rejects some of my credit cards. Pros The price is very good for NordVPN if you buy a few years at a time. The software has alot of servers and locations to choose from. Both the Linux and the windows and mac sides of the software are easy to setup and use. I use it alot when I go to Japan or overseas for travel and it's been quite nice. Cons Some servers are mislisted to the country and so you choose country and it really comes out of another. Most times I forego using the Nord VPN desktop client or any system-level VPN because I don't want my entire PC's data going over the VPN. As a gamer, I'm of the mind that live gaming data speeds would be too delayed through extra servers to enjoy the gaming. Instead, I like to use browser extensions so that only my browser-specific data is transferred over a VPN. But while Nord VPN has a decent extension for my preferred Chrome browser, it does not have a feature allowing me to whitelist certain domains. Some VPNs, such as PIA, have this feature, and I would use it for domains like Chase Bank's, whose site does not like my traffic coming from any VPNs I've tried so far. When whitelisted sites such as Chase Bank's would skirt around the VPN. Pros Honestly can't say. It's just a VPN. You turn it on and it keeps your IP private. Cons It's annoying to use alongside an incognito browser because you're always being asked to do the CAPTCHA / verify that you're a human. Literally every.single.time. you try to go to a new webpage. I've been told that this is not specific to Nord and that it's just an incompatibility between VPNs and Incognito browsers, so I can't hold that against Nord specifically. VPNs hide your IP from host servers where Incognito browsers hide your activity from other users of your computer... Reason for choosing NordVPN It's well reviewed by security analysts.
