Pros: Easy to follow prompts. I actually familiarized with kidkare on my own. Keeps me organized and professional.

Cons: Don't know what I'd do without it. I have not had negative experiences and don't expect to. At first, it was intimidating to go from paper tho software but this exceeded my expectations.

Being able to pay with credit card - Bonus!

Pros: The biggest bonus of the system is being able to use a credit card. Before on other programs we could only use a bank draft or debit card. It automatically charges my card and sends a receipt and I don't have to remember to do anything.

Cons: There is a slight fee to be able to use a credit card for paying the provider, but given that you don't have to worry about reconciling a check book it is worth it.

I use it for tracking my food program meals

Pros: I like how easy it is to log children in and out every day, but quite honestly, that is about it. MinuteMenu was so much better.

Cons: Kidkare is awful. Their customer service is terrible. They have had numerous accounting outages, and have cost family childcare providers a lot of money.

Does the job intended too with the benefit of allowing credit cards.

Pros: I use this program through my daycare provider for payment. I was really happy that the provider could now take credit cards, even for the small fee. Sure beats having to write checks all the time.

Cons: There is a small fee when using to pay a provider with credit card, but its a decent enough trade off to not having to write checks. Initial set up was glitchy with some options not showing up for a couple days. My provider also has an issue with printing menus that we have not been able to find a solution for yet.

KidKare has been a disaster for me.

Cons: It's full of glitches, drops your information, takes far longer to use than minute menu, has a ton of features that don't make sense. Minute menu was slow and clunky, but it had this beat by 1000%. It's nearly unbearable to use!

Overall: None. It's a headache and is not getting any better.

Once it "upgraded" in July 2017, lots of lock outs, deleted info, loss of some features.

Pros: This program had a lot of potential. Sounded like it would have everything I needed since it had accounting and nutrition in the same program.

Cons: Invoice were randomly deleted and reinstalled, double payments, lost some report capabilities, customer service was hard to get ahold of and frequently unhelpful.

Overall: Tax reports seemed to remain accurate

NOT WORTH IT! Bring back Minute Menu!

Pros: That it is online and I can use it from any device!

Cons: Forms not working properly! The company IGNORING paying customers!!! That they do not have all the tax forms I actually need working in time FOR TAX SEASON! I can't trust their program to have all my payments logged properly! They will close a tech ticket without ever actually answering my questions or fixing the problem!!

Overall: online access is the ONLY improvement over Minute Menu!

Terrible in every single way.

Pros: It's almost better than nothing. But not quite. Due to an unfortunate government contract, I am required to use this system. I was previously using pen and paper to report childcare attendance and meals. This is astoundingly worse than that.

Cons: Terrible user interface. Updates are slow and sloppy, leaving numerous errors for the user to fix. Server gets bogged down. Too much personal information is required for children and their families. Menus and functions are confusing and poorly designed. There is nothing good or useful about this system at all in any way and the creator should feel bad about himself. He did a bad thing and he should feel bad.

Disappointing, abysmal performance

Pros: Web based application you can access from any device, simple data entry Nothing else to say good about this product, however, there aren't enough characters in the con category

Cons: Providers were forced to switch to this new program no later than October 2017. Once switched you quickly find that multiple features we had access to in Minute Menu were no longer available. On top of that, not all the reports work correctly, payments are not processing on time, not all invoices generate appropriately, parents have been double invoiced, parents were sent invoices from providers in other states with other children's names, child care rate, the providers name, address, and EIN number. There's also been instances of data being dropped out of the program that had been previously saved by the provider. The customer service is best described as non existent. It may take MONTHS for them to respond to a help ticket, that is if they respond at all. You will also find that your help tickets will get "closed" with zero communication and without the issue being resolved. We have been assured that the issues would get better, but in fact, the issues seem to be coming more and more regularly. This company absolutely does not provide what they promised or what we are paying for. IF you choose to use this program you will find yourself spending extra time re-entering information you've already input, calming parents down about double bills, and most likely experience getting your money late on a regular basis. There are other programs out there, I would suggest you find them because you will find nothing but frustration with KidKare.

Overall: electronic reporting to CACFP

Someone is making money hand over fist with this software and problems are still not being fixed.

Pros: I like that it is a web-based program so it is accessible from any device when it is working correctly.

Cons: Accounting stuff never migrated over from Minute Menu when I was told it would. I don't trust that the program is adding up all my reports correctly so there fore I have to put extra time in entering it all into a program that is trust worthy. I have never been so scared to print reports for taxes as I am this year and I have been in the business for 15 plus years. When you do run reports it is 30 pages long when in Minute Menu it was at least half that. Consistently bumping me out and making me log back in every time I leave it sit idle for a little bit. Can not enter 2017 invoices or expenses after December 31, 2017. It will not let you change the date to a date in the previous year. Print button for reports is not available in all web browser. When you do get a report to print it prints a message on the top of the report about some kind of discrimination-which does not pertain to any report in KK. The program assumes when a child turns 5 years old that they are in school, which indeed they are not. So then we get disallowed meals because we claim them for all meals during the day. If you don't go back into child information and change it you are not being paid correctly from your food program. Never had to double check all of this stuff in Minute Menu. Can't run emergency numbers/pickup reports to have sitting by our phone like you could in Minute Menu. You get a spinning wheel many times when trying to enter things. No choice but to log out and come back in w/ problems

Not good since usage began in 2017

Pros: Web based software allow you to log any from any device anywhere, the menu is easy to navigate, technical support could be stronger.

Cons: I have have lost thousands of dollars in reports for expenses and income. You enter your data, however when you print your accounting reports they are off by several thousand dollars. I have also had a issue where the ACH billing within the software double and triple billed my clients bank accounts. Support is very slow to correct and address ongoing issues and will report issue resolved when in fact it is not. The software has been a huge hindrance on my daily operations in regards to account and payables.

Overall: None.

Terrible system since switching from Minute Menu--They can't seem to get things to work properly.

Pros: I like that this is a web-based program so it is accessible from any device & because of this, I especially like that my parents can check their child in very easily on a designated tablet.

Cons: This is the same company that owned Minute Menu. They tested this program for many months before completely discontinuing Minute Menu. Because of that, one would assume the program actually worked. Where do I start on the "Cons"? ... For starters, the program randomly doesn't save data that was previously saved, such as the meals & times entered for the children in care (a requirement necessary to submit to the USDA Food Program), the forms & reports this program offers are a slim selection from what the MM program offered which most often results in significantly more time added to my work load. Don't expect an actual receipt to give to parents after posting payments to accounts. All you will get is a statement of account, not an itemized receipt which is common practice when receiving payments in a business. Plan to add time in having to hand write on every statement what payment was made, the form of payment, etc. Beware of this ridiculous program.

Overall: only headaches thus far.
