Divvy is a unique tool that provides an all-in-one solution for your needs. In addition to issuing the card, they also handle all of the associated expenses. All of our expenses are now coded in Accounting so that our field workers can simply submit receipts and a business reason and move on.

Pros

Because it is so user-friendly, this program has completely changed the way we track our expenditures and enter our data. Because each employee may now input their receipts, it has saved our accounting department many hours of labor each month. Divvy is a fantastic service. It's simple to pick up. I was worried I'd be disoriented, but a quick scan of the area turns up everything I need.

Cons

ACH transactions are taking too long to process. We'd want to be able to send PayPal monies straight to Divvy for payments. It is not possible to map QBO tags for transactional line items at this time. Improvements are constantly needed, just as with any other piece of software. Divvy is always striving to improve the procedure.

You can see that Divvy cares a lot about making the service better and better. A few weeks after I mentioned an issue we were having, he was talking to a development team about how to resolve it. For this reason I could be inclined to choose it.

BILL as a whole is hostile architecture as an accounting/business "solution." It's such a shame because Divvy is actually a great product!

Pros

BILL Spend & Expense, formerly Divvy, has a fantastic interface on both mobile and online app. If you have not had a receipt management/credit card management service for your team, this really DOES improve your life. The best part is that you can empower credit card users to handle their own receipts and transactions. Uploading and managing receipts is easy; issuing cards and creating "virtual cards" are all wonderful. This is my first spend management software experience, and whether Divvy is advanced or standard, it really has improved the workflow for expense and receipt management. Wahoo!

Cons

Oh boy. Stay away, stay far far away if you plan to use this with BILL's AR/AP side (Payables and Receivables). You will not have a dedicated account rep, which should be standard for corporate and industry clients. Someone on your team will be spending a lot of time navigating why something isn't working, only for a tier 2 rep or a manager to tell you to restart your computer and clear your cache. This was the suggested solution for-- you will not believe this -- our account was set up incorrectly and we were paying double in subscription fees. There was no way for us as an end user to seethis, and none of the support people were able to see this because -- the BILL Spend & Expense side cannot see the BILL Payables & Receivables side. I'm so baffled that this has been our experience, and really caution anyone considering choosing BILL.

### "BSE is up to great things!"

I think BSE is a great efficiency tool. Coupled with it's low price of FREE-99, it offers great control over expenses in a real time capacity.

Pros

I love the transparency and opportunity to have a real time look into your company's spending and the ability to code and sync directly into QuickBooks.

Cons

The least robust features are reimbursements and account mappings. It is frustrating to take many steps to unmap and map custom fields. Make it in the same place at least.

### "Divvy is the BEST"

Amazing. I truly enjoyed working with our Implementation Manager and felt like they worked with us as a partner, not a client. They were willing to work with us on all of our many asks.

Pros

Divvy is a very innovative product that allows for you to have an all in one product. They not only issue the card, but they provide the expense management. With their help, we have been able to bring all expense coding inside Accounting to allow for our teammates in the field to just submit a receipt and a business purpose and move on.

Cons

The reimbursement and reporting side could use some work. Divvy does not charge for reimbursements and does not make money for that part of the product, so I understand that it is not their priority, however to make a better product they would puts some resources there.

Divvy has been great and everyone we have come in contact with has been very helpful. I have even been able to text the guy who helped us set everything up with any questions that have come up. Customer service has been excellent!

Pros

I love how seamlessly it syncs with QB online. Every employee loves the app, also!

Cons

There have been issues with employees receiving the verification emails due to the email our company uses, but we have worked out the kinks.

We wanted a solution for our different departments to have control over their spend while making sure we still had firm controls and oversight in place. Divvy met all those requirements for free.

Pros

Divvy has a great budgeting tool that allows you to easily segment departments so that they are in control of their own spend. Their app is easy to use to keep track of reciepts and ensure your team is in compliance. Best of all everything is free.

Cons

Getting set up and a credit line is a bit cumbersome as I have seen other companies have a much easier onboarding and offer higher levels of credit.

My experience with BILL Spend & Expense was disastrous. I was approved for a $24,000 line of credit and drew $13,000 to cover payroll, only to have the entire amount yanked from my bank account within days without any clear billing schedule or warning. This left my account severely overdrawn and put my business at serious financial risk. Their lack of communication, transparency, and consideration for how small businesses operate is unacceptable. I would never recommend this platform to any business owner who values stability, trust, and responsible financial practices.

Pros

Honestly, very little. Initially, the idea of having a line of credit with built-in expense tracking seemed promising. But any potential benefits were completely overshadowed by poor communication, lack of transparency, and practices that put small businesses at serious financial risk.

Cons

Their billing cycle is confusing and poorly communicated. I borrowed $13,000 to cover payroll, and just days later, they pulled the entire amount back from my business account without warning, sending my balance deep into the negative. There was no notice, no option to schedule repayment, and no transparency. This kind of unpredictable behavior is dangerous for any small business relying on stable cash flow. It felt predatory and completely negligent.

### "App has a lot of new bugs"

While I'm glad to have reward options and be able to give my teams access to funds that I can see and manage, we are dealing with a lot of frustration on an almost daily basis for a tool that's supposed to make our jobs easier. It's pretty clear to me when a company slacks on customer support that they are focused more on the bottom line than their clients. At least in the past the tool was functioning properly. Now that the tech is also broken (and nobody has shared any corrective plans or measures) we will have to start looking for other options quickly.

Pros

My ability to get a high volume of rewards for spending on business expenses through our non-profit.

Cons

1) Customer service - they are not good at all. They are difficult to contact and when you do get in touch with them they don't have enough familiarity with their own product to be helpful 2) Software - creating budgets and getting cards to people is pretty simple but in the past 30-60 days the software has started to manifest some bugs. Budgets show up with a $0 balance. Users can't access budgets they clearly have access to from an administrator. Some budgets don't show up at all. Scrolling through transactions and entire weeks of transactions will disappear until you log out of the tool and log back in (I have screen recordings). The list goes on. This wasn't an issue until the last 30 days. 3) Poor resolution - I've called them to discuss this and was told that there was in fact a SW bug they were working on. I explained more of the situation so they escalated the ticket and told me a supervisor would return my call. I even scheduled it because I have meetings back to back most days. Not only did they not call me back later that day during the window agreed on, but it has now been two additional days and nobody has emailed, called, reached out, etc. Our organization has spend hundreds of thousands of dollars via bill.com's spend and expense platform over the past three years. This level of follow-up and support is unacceptable.

It has been great. I believe this is a significant upgrade from other expense apps that I have used in other roles. It is easy to see how much budget there is on your company card, and I really appreciate how quickly they populate.

Pros

I love how quickly expenses populate in the app/online. I have used other expense platforms that take several days to populate, which leads to missed expenses and reports. This software is quick and intuitive!

Cons

It would be very helpful if there were a favorites section for the type of expense that is incurred. It can be slightly annoying having to search each time for the new expense rather than from a list.

Pros

1) Dashboard for all transactions - allows us to work on what needs completed and then publish to QBO. 2) Automatic notifications - allows us to request receipts and categorization from cardholders in seconds. 3) Virtual cards - allows us to automate transaction entry, manage overspend with our vendors, and minimize and mitigate fraud with our expenses. If a card gets compromised we turn off that one virtual card and then create a new one within seconds.

Cons

There aren't many features built yet for Accounting Firms to manage their list of clients. There isn't good features like Ramp & Brex to text the categorization details, notes, and receipts on the transactions.

approval workflows aren't greatno ability to send push notifications for "needs approval" why on earth is that not fixed?automated push notification on phone should be every 48 - 72 hours. (concur does this).once a week emails are spotty (dont actually send) and most of my managers have no idea they have something to approve. 1st round with production implementation specialist was lazy, non-responsive, "Goal of 24 hour response time" was a pathetic goal and was more like 2-3-4 days. by that time the context of the email was misunderstood and issues had to be repeated, repeated, repeated, new customer manager seems a lot better and Salesman Michael Gleason was always great.

Reimbursements - I wanted my system to handle the out-of-pocket reimbursements as well as transactions. Ramp was the only other company with this feature and they have the absolute dumbest underwriting policies and wanted copies of my 27 different bank statements uploaded monthly, Um, No.

I have enjoyed working with ad using Divvy. Customer service is responsive and the application makes it very easy to order new cards, suspend cards, and allows for virtual cards.

Pros

Divvy has made significant difference with reconciling credit card expenses and reducing indirect time for staff. It is easy for staff to upload receipts through out the month and allows for better tracking of expenses. The app is super easy and provides alerts to remind you to upload your receipt following a purchase.

Cons

Sometimes the card is perceived as a prepaid card at some businesses.

Don't use expense reimbursement software. Don't use the integration with accounting software, but it has a great export.

My overall experience has been tremendously positive. Since the moment I joined this platform, I have felt a great relief when it comes to managing business expenses. The combination of my credit card and the intuitive software has greatly simplified the entire process.

Pros

What I liked the most about this application is the ease and convenience it offers when it comes to managing business expenses. Using his credit card and intuitive software, he was able to automate the entire process of expense reporting, budgeting, and reimbursement. I no longer have to deal with mountains of receipts and endless spreadsheets, now everything is automatically recorded and organized.

Cons

Although in general I loved the experience with this platform, there is one aspect that could be improved. Sometimes I have experienced some technical difficulties with the software, such as platform errors or delays in loading information. Although these problems are not frequent and the support team has always been attentive and quick to solve any problem.

This was a Big win for us this year. We had a big bank credit card and Concur for reconciliation and that was expensive and cumbersome. Employees avoided reconciling like the plague! Now our reports are almost 100% on time. Our spending is transparent and easy to follow. It's been a tremendous blessing for us.

Pros

We love the credit card feature. The ease of use is the best we've experienced.

Cons

There is really nothing I don't like. I wish sales tax was automatically sectioned out of expenses but that is a minor problem. Splitting works fine.

Our employees who use credit cards a lot are raving about Divvy. They no longer have to complete paperwork for their credit card transactions. They love the ease of recording their expenses. We were leery of implementing Divvy as a result of a terrible experience with another credit card software we attempted to integrate in the past. However, from beginning to end our experience with Divvy has been fantastic!

Pros

The software is very user-friendly; even those who are not very tech-savvy have had minimal challenges adapting to the Divvy method of reporting their expense transactions. Divvy also seamlessly integrates with QuickBooks and provides details of the transactions that we do not have to enter manually.

Cons

We have not encountered any significant cons with the Divvy software. There are a few "buggy" things that could be tweaked but our awesome and amazing implementation specialist, Aubree Matheson, forwarded our concerns to the department that updates the software and we are hopeful our suggestions will be part of a future upgrade. For now, we are easily working around the things that would be "nice" to have changed.

### "A must have for solo/micro businesses "

Divvy makes it very easy as a micro company (2-10 employees) to track, organize, and report on internal operational expenses and make better budget and expense cut decisions. A must have for solo/micro businesses!!

Pros

Easy to use, helps us non-finanationally minded businesses owners, helps me cut expenses easier to save more

Cons

Expense categories cannot be edited/customized so a lot of our stuffvis marked as "Other" which doesn't help. Needs to integrate with Zapier so us micro businesses can connect to our systems- not everyone likes QuickBooks and other options are overpriced/enterprise systems.

### "Divvy is an excellent overall package!"

It's great to have a business line of credit available; really helped with my cashflow and having a card to give to others over which I have such a large amount of control is fantastic.

Pros

I really like being able to upload receipts via the phone and being able to forward on email receipts because it helps me not forget!

Cons

Some of the internal menus and the incentive interface are sluggish and unhelpful. Having a year lag on rewards is also poor. Finally, I would appreciate more accountability on how credit decisions are reached. Particularly after ledgers and statement of accounts have been given.

### "Finally a Credit Card with All the Features We need and More!"

We have had a great experience with Divvy. It has made accounting much easier as well as purchasing. The points are an awesome perk as well.

Pros

We are so pleased with this software. The Quickbooks Desktop integration is key and the ability to add as many vendor cards as we need has made reconciling a breeze. The ability to approve funds request instantly is also a huge feature for us.

Cons

I did run into an issue where if we split a transaction to categorize it under different expense accounts when the transaction is synced it splits into two separate entries. This does not work for us so we no longer use the split feature. The work around we currently use is to enter notes about splitting the transaction then we edit it in quickbooks after we sync the transaction.

Reason for choosing BILL Spend & Expense

Divvy was the only one we found with all the features we needed
