Totally professional outfit. Since we switched to them our community has grown x3 in monetary value.

Pros

We did the big switch from Mighty Networks to Zapnito over a year ago and have never regretted it. The site is totally designed for community and knowledge management. Very quick to spin up and to customise to our needs. The onboarding team were very attentive to our needs and the senior guys still stay involved when we need them.

Cons

It is a specialised product so some of the consumer-led features that you might expect (like a personalised activity feed) are not available.

More comprehensive features set. Professional and helpful staff.

Zapnito as a partner has been pleasant to work with. We sometimes lack insight into the roadmap for the product, but their staff have been attentive to the needs of our business and tried to match those needs to the capabilities of their sites and team.

Pros

The relationship management staff are great. I have to give props to Waimai and her team for doing their best to keep the clients abreast of changes AHEAD of release!

Cons

The tech stack is a bit odd, I would guess. Much of the platform has interesting events to track but not all aspects appear to be tracked data-wise.

Mixed.Platform has its issues and we get the solution. Benchmarking/aims for us hasn't really happened feels like it has gone on for a while now. Be good to get this resolved ASAP to focus our future actions etc.

Pros

Ease of use for our users - basic layout. Also appears ease to re-design

Cons

Errors when uploading bulk users. Interactive elements (polls etc.) requires directing people to other software providers.

The support is exceptional. From onboarding to ongoing strategy, they're always available, helping your community not only launch successfully but thrive.

Cons

Some of the design options are a little limited, however since you are choosing a product that works out of the box, this is to be expected. You can only order content by the date published.

Alice, our Customer Success Manager, has been there every step of the way and is very responsive. The Zapnito team does a great job of communicating critical information to our team in an efficient and timely way.

Pros

Incredibly intuitive, easy to use, plenty of appealing features, great support team

Cons

Zapnito has been a solid start for us in creating an online community for our global cancer network of members and partners. The platform's distinct emphasis on fostering expert communities and facilitating the seamless exchange of knowledge and resources immediately caught our attention. Its clean and visual interface, as well as relatively high degree of customisability (both in terms of branding and functionality) are also key aspects that we enjoy. We also appreciate the customer service and online resources provided by Zapnito. They've been proactive in helping us with community building and management. While there are still some areas that could be improved (as mentioned in my cons), overall, we're satisfied with our choice of platform.

Pros

Setting up Zapnito was a quick and straightforward process. The platform provides a visually appealing and user-friendly interface that our users find easy to navigate. Its high level of customisability allows us to tailor the branding and functionality of the community to our specific needs. Additionally, the Zapnito team delivers excellent and proactive customer service, enhancing our overall experience with the platform.

Cons

User management, particularly for bulk operations like adding users to the community or specific rooms, could benefit from improvement. Some functionalities are still missing or are still rather basic, however there have been many new functionalities and improvements since we've adopted it, so I'm hopeful these will be addressed soon. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that their mobile app is currently still in the beta phase.

Overall the experience is good but there are some key sections as outlined above which could definitely be improved for a smoother experience, as some small details can be barriers to users engaging and accessing content on the network.

Pros

Its content sharing - it's very clear to see people's content. The display is also nice to look at and the network is customisable based on needs of the community.

Cons

Sometimes the usability isn't the best. There are often glitches that make it hard to post or edit content and sometimes it can be confusing to navigate around the network. For example channels, rooms, badges can be confusing. The messaging section is not the best as there is a buffer period for when you receive a notification about receiving a message which makes it difficult to have a flowing conversation.

Great customer service, very engaged and enthusiastic team, always on hand to help. We have successfully grown multiple communities using Zapnito's platform. The product developments are making noticeable improvements to our community success now too.

Pros

Very easy to navigate around and create a new community using the 'out of the box' features. Recent updates around discussion functionality and content privacy have been a great improvement.

Cons

It is not easy to build up a large body of content which remains easily navigable, without having to regularly re-design site layout.

This platform provides a one-stop-shop solution for community building needs so that its administrators can launch a community rapidly and its members can be onboarded via a branded and consistent interface. The Zapnito-based solution assists with our outreach efforts.

Cons

This platform continues to be in evolution so that we would appreciate receiving more customized solutions to the evolving concerns that our community has. Likewise, platform integrations demand continuous management which requires time and attention so that out-of-the-box solutions for minor issues could be of assistance.

Really lovely people who are always extremely happy to help out. The software does a really good job for our community, there are just a few things that mean a job takes 40 minutes instead of 5 which is a pain considering how busy everyone is at the moment.

Pros

It was really easy to get to grips with Zapnito when I first started at simplycommunicate. The platform is very intuitive and also versatile, it was great to host the simplysummit on the platform last year. It's also great having so much good information on the zapnito support pages. I've found that extremely useful of late and it's helped to speed up the tasks that need doing on our site.

Cons

There are certain features that seem very convoluted, with either too many steps or no steps at all so workarounds are required. I mentioned previously not being able to download/upload members into certain groups. Having to do it one by one is time consuming and also makes auditing the members in certain groups very difficult. I know you have this feature with members in rooms so could it not be transferred across?

The Zapnito team is super helpful and responsive to all of our needs, both in technical updates to our platform and helping us brainstorm ways to engage our community.

Pros

The software looks beautiful and gives each person in our community a voice. Every person in our community needs to post research online, so it is great to see everyone's work collected together on the platform. I also like that aspects of the platform including the homepage are customisable.

Cons

The software is not always intuitive to figure out for new users.- There is not always a clear difference between "rooms" and "channels" to our users. - Community members use the software as a place to upload information, but not always to talk to each other. They have said that it feels 'corporate' to use and don't often employ the chat function or participate in conversations. - I sometimes experience bugs when uploading content, especially photo and video. - From the analytical side, there isn't a strong set of tools to assess performance that suits our needs.

Pros

We have worked with Zapnito for nearly two years to build our digital community for B2B Marketers. The platform itself is intuitive and easy to use without the need to for front development or coding skills. It has mean we are constantly able to refine and evolve as we learn from our member behaviours and needs. The Zapnito team have also superb partners, taking time to understand our business, our strategy in order that they can support us at every step.

Cons

Reporting tools could be improved but this is on their product roadmap.

The team at Zapnito have been fantastic, from the initial complex migration of our previous content and directories, to the creation and then running of our new Zapnito Community. The team is always available to provide solutions and fix any issues that arise.

Pros

The Zapnito product is user-friendly, with clear admin tools, plenty of flexibilty in personalising the platform to a brand's requirements and offers a range of functions for any digital community - directories, content posts, panels etc.

Cons

Migration of our existing content and directories to the Zapnito platform was difficult, but the Zapnito team were very helpful and successful in meeting our objectives.

Good. We use this for blogging, videos and directories. It meets our needs.

Pros

The team are a really helpful and provide lots of support to resolve issues. The videos and guides are great. They also respond quickly and explain things well.

Cons

We use this software for clients to blog and post. Unless they are tech savvy, most are confused and need lots of support from me to get going. In the CMS, things are often not in a logical place. It's fine once you know, but it makes it less user friendly and easy to navigate.

Zapnito has been great to work with. The owner has been involved all the way. It is not often one of the owners stays involved. That is something I really like, because it streamlines decisions quickly.

Pros

The out of box product has most of the functionality we needed, so not a lot of custom work to be done.

Cons

I am mostly a user so I have not been involved in all the integration. There are some upgrade functionality we will need that I do not believe is currently available.

Reason for choosing Zapnito

Have the most out of box functionality we were looking for at a reasonable price. With a start up company you always have to evalutate costs also.

Pros

I liked how easy it was to build a site given the limited experience I had in this space. The customer support is exceptional and very responsive. Their team is always open to suggestions.

Cons

There isn't anything that stands out. Perhaps being able to better customize the layout of the tiles and organize them.

Setting up a network was a new experience, ZAPNITO provided the corresponding software very efficiently: channels, rooms, postings, etc. are well designed and set up, customer wishes are heard and fulfilled.

Cons

I'm not missing any feature, maybe the member directory is not very user friendly, but this is not important.

It enables me to reach a good audience through Life Labs It wasn't around 10 years ago and that I still need to Use LinkedIn and other media to reach a wide audience. That said, of all the channels I use, Zapnito is the most bespoke and user friendly with a great team to provide support and advice when needed.

Pros

That it enables me to share content with my audience, and potential new clients in a 'noise free' adaptive virtual environment. Its a bit like going to a high end members only discussion group, rather than a conference which is open to all.
