Pros: It is very easy to style any diagram to your needs, but the default templates look great out of the box too! I don't play much with styles, but I use the other integrated tools quite a lot, including those for aligning, resizing and distributing elements. There are in fact many different elements to choose from and it's easy to find what you are looking for because everything is nicely categorized. I particularly enjoy how easy it is to position and connect the pieces together in the grid: you can quickly duplicate boxes, draw arrows between them or insert text that are perfectly aligned with everything else. Because of the underlying technologies it uses behind the scenes, the software is available on the web (online or offline with an extension) and it also offers desktop applications, which work equally well. When working with larger diagrams, the outline view comes in very handy. The software allows to export to many useful formats such as PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, HTML and others and provides options to get the code to embed the diagram as an image (including SVG) or even inside Google Docs and Google Slides. It is so intuitive that I never had the need to follow along the nonetheless excellent tutorials available on their website.

Cons: There isn't much to be said against such a well designed piece of software. I will point out, however, that even though I'm usually a huge fan of using the dark theme in as many applications as possible, I found it very distracting with draw.io. The contrasts weren't accentuated enough to my taste and I found it hard to see clearly the outline of the boxes in the diagram when working with a grid. The other themes (Kennedy, Minimal and Atlas) are fantastic, but I like using the default theme most.

Overall: It has been extremely useful in my work to display the workflow of a mobile application to people who are not very acquainted with technology. It was indeed very easy and quick to create personalized diagrams of any size, especially because there are many templates to choose from. All those templates are crafted professionally and give you a great starting point for any kind of project.

It is also superbly adapted to suit businesses, as it can import from many services including Dropbox, OneDrive, GitHub, Google Drive and Trello. This makes it simple to share a file with anyone in the office, especially considering the many export options available. Because it is a reliable and fast software, I ended up designing quick projects for my company and it has worked flawlessly since the first time I opened it to try it out.

Pros: First of all without any doubt, as it is a web application, I can use it anywhere, anytime and on any device; which is the best thing. Moreover, as a professional, whenever I draw any product diagram, options such as Export to my Google Drive is a great functionality to save my work as per my opinion. Additionally, here we don't have to Sign In or Register our selves for starting our work! I am sure this will probably very good to use this web interface on the go, rapidly.

Cons: If the website of it, closed by mistake, then I am afraid, you will loose your work! That we have to take care here. Furthermore, some more description is needed for some of the UML Diagram symbols regarding how to utilize them.

Overall: my products' flowcharts as well as number of UML diagrams such as DFD, User datagrams etc., I have made them with Draw.io; I have also make them sharable via Google drive link wherever I need to share them online.

A varied side menu and icons provide us with all the necessary elements to compose our schemes when we finish we can print them, save them in Google Drive, insert them in our sites or export them in different formats: GIF, PDF, PNG and JPG.

Cons: Its interface is simple and understandable do not require professional knowledge to use it, the only draw.io disadvantages, is that you need to interner.

Pros: It's free, you only pay if you use confluence or jira and the prices are low.

I can make several types of diagrams such as uml, entity relationship, flow diagrams, infographics, gantt, among others and export them in multiple formats (png, svg, jpg, pdf, xml and more).

The appearance of the diagrams is nice because they have the possibility of adding colors and some effects.

It allows to open files from google drive, github, trello, dropbox, onedrive and also from the same device.

It integrates perfectly with g-suite, also you can use several google accounts.

It is easy to use if you already have some experience with other programs to make diagrams.

Cons: I really do not find something that I hate about this software, I could only say that the support service is somewhat limited since it does not offer a chat, only email and telephone attention.

It does not have collaboration options within the same application although it can be done using other tools such as g-suite, trello or jira.

Overall: It allows me to create diagrams uml, entity relationship and Gantt diagrams and work with my students using g-suite and trello.

Pros: Draw.io provide enough features to draw charts and flowchart. Because it's a web app you can use it without installing directly through the internet. When drawing UML diagrams it provides almost everything you need to draw the diagram perfectly. Even though it's a free product you don't need to complete so many steps to download the diagram you drew. If you want to download the diagram to your pc you can do that or else you can add the diagram to google drive or one drive directly. If you want to save the work you did and continue later you can download the XML file and upload again when you're continuing the work.

Cons: Sometimes it's difficult to adjust shape and arrows in the way you want. JPEG files of the diagrams are not quality enough when using in word documents. But that can be fixed by photoshop or even from paint. So thats not a huge problem

Pros: Connecting shapes has never been easier! I used this app to draw software diagram and the arrows are just automatically aligned and positioned! It has so many functions: sketching website layout, Gantt charts, etc. The template library is really enormous and helpful. The elements of a drawing (like circles, rectangles, ...) are also well-aligned in integer coordinates, creating little satisfaction in the drawing job.

Cons: Positioning a shape or a group of shapes can be a little painful. When I want two different-size rectangle to be centered position (which means the rectangle centers are vertically aligned), I have to do a little calculations before I could input the coordinates because the coordinates are always the left-top point. That's inconvenient. Draw.io should have nine reference points for each shape (or group of shapes) and setting the coordinates for any of these point will move the shape accordingly. It should be like in Adobe Illustrator. If that's completed, this software will be on another level of perfection.

Now designing from a diagram, electronic circuits to a model is easy and fast with Deaw io.

Pros: It is an incredible application of Google Drive that allows us to draw and customize diagrams online and we do not need to register, an interesting point of this web tool, we can insert the diagram made in any website using a code generated by the application. It is quite simple and easy to use.

Cons: Definitely it is an interesting tool, and very complete that can be of great help for anyone without the need of extensive professional knowledge, it is not complicated that I do not see any negative aspect.

Pros: This software is so cool as it allows us to design various types of diagrams graphs, flow charts and so on with use of its inbuilt tools set or by simply importing external tools. And we can take the link and embed what we created in some other application. And also we can save the output in many different formats and if we save the xml we can reuse and add more items to the same design

Cons: Sometimes it does not let us customize the graph according to our need or it does not allow us to use externally imported tools as well.

Overall: draw.io was supporting me through all my assignments on graphs charts and flow charts and still help me i really like it as it allows to embed the design in wiki pages and confluence as well

Pros: Obviously, the cost (everyone likes free software, right?). It is easy to use and connects easily to Google Drive or OneDrive (or your PC) and can be used just like MS Visio to to create flowcharts and diagrams. It is a great alternative when you only need to make basic drawings and don't want to shell out $$$ for a full Visio license with features you don't need.

Cons: This is not a replacement for Visio if you need to do very elaborate drawings.

Pros: -Very useful for creating beautiful, end-user facing diagrams and flow charts

-Easy to start using, not much learning curve

-Web-Based, no software installation required

-Collaboration

-Google Drive Plugin

Cons: -Not particularly useful for software wireframing (I use Visio for this)

Overall: As a product manager, I need many tools for creating visuals and project documents. Draw.IO is an important part of my toolbox, however, it's only one of many tools because there are a few gaps it doesn't fill on its own. That's fine - each tool has its purpose, and Draw.IO is simply the best for what I use it for - Creating beautiful end-user flow charts and diagrams in just a few minutes without the need for expensive software from Adobe or others.

Pros: I've used this online tool for several occasions for creating UML diagrams and and some other flowcharts. From the start it's very easy for anyone to use it. You can save your chart or diagram in the google drive , onedrive or even to your local hard drive. there's no login you just go there and start drawing. Simplest of the simple UIs I've ever seen. Plus it's free to use. And this tool offers a whole variety of charts and diagrams that are categorized based on the type of work such as engineering, maps related and so on. And you can save the chart in different formats such as PDF , JPG etc.

Cons: Adjusting shapes and re positioning is a bit of a mess. And the usage of different shapes is limited , so unless you're using it daily this is a pretty good tool. Otherwise it's good to use a paid tool.

Overall: Overall experience is satisfactory. It's great for drawing basic charts. but if you're planning on using this many times a day , I suggest using a paid tool as the features a kinda limited

Pros: I use Draw.io because I found it intuitive from the first time I tried using it. It is web based too and afforded me easy access to use from anywhere ,without having to worry about app. installations. It is free to use and it has saved me from paying monthly subscription fee for Microsoft Visio.

I am always impressed with how updated the icon library is on draw.io and this ensures I always find the right icons to use for my process maps and flow charts.

Cons: There is no recovery option if my project crashes without me saving it.I guess this is an expected con with using a free tool.

Overall: I use Draw.io to create process maps and flow charts for free,at no financial cost to either me or my team.

Pros: Draw is hands-down the easiest way to produce high-quality, easily-distributable diagrams. It has large library of shapes and templates. A search functionality provides an easy way to find the right shape or icon to express what it is you're trying to draw. Figures can be stored in a wide variety of cloud services or locally and even offline. Embedding and sharing the diagrams is just as easy.

The best part about Draw is its ability to intuitively group and align objects on the page, producing better quality diagrams. Draw also has the ability to apply tags to each element, making the creating of semantic documents possible.

Cons: Some of the icons in the library are a bit out of date. Searching for plugins can't really be done within the app itself, but outside of it.

Overall: Excellent experience, this is the only technical drawing diagram I use.

Pros: Draw.io is basically network diagram creation application like MS Visio but you can also use it to create a flowchart.

It has all most all required icons and if you want to use your own, you can not only copy paste but can import it for future use.

It integrates with google drive and you can save your flowchart, diagram, process etc in google drive.

You can share your diagram with other users with edit view only rights.

Cons: Adding Additional pictures make the file so heavier that sometime it takes a minute to load a file.

Pros: This is the kind of tool that you can use right away. Simple and straight web interface with toolbars, and also very smooth for a web browser editor. I find it amazing, because you would expect a tool of this quality as a desktop installable program.

They've clearly put a lot of effort and care in developing such a neat tool, and you can see it in details like the management of alignments of blocks and edges.

You can export the results in various formats, but possibly you won't even need it since you can just load the diagrams from the cloud.

If you use Confluence, there'a a very handy plugin that allows to embed and edit draw.io diagrams.

Cons: It's very hard to find something I don't like. Maybe the presets of components are to few. No wait, I've just checked, there's a ton of them but they're just hidden behind the "More shapes" button.

Ok, let's try again. Most of the times, I find the Arrange functions pretty useless and I end up doing everything by hand.

Pros: I love how quick and easy the interface is to learn; it's very intuitive. I often use this software for mapping out ideas and nothing could be simpler or more effective. I love that I can instantly save my files to my Google drive and quickly open them later from anywhere to edit or use to demonstrate my ideas in a very clean and professional look. I've created some incredibly detailed maps for my network and CCTV systems at my business and they look really cool!

Cons: There's not really much I can say that I don't like. I think the only thing I would have to complain about is that I've found it difficult to print to exact sizes for creating multi-page posters that I can cut up and paste together. I usually export my file and then open it in either acrobat or Illustrator. Still not too bad tho. Takes an extra minute so no biggie.

Overall: Ability to map out my idea and plans very effectively and with a clean and professional look.

Pros: It allowed me to update my knowledge about flowcharts, specifically about programs for the realization of these. It is easy to handle, allows collaborative work, is easy to transport. It has a diversity of templates, colors and models that allow you to make contextualized diagrams of different types not only of flow but also of cases of uses, so necessary in programming

Cons: Everything seen in practice, the ability to use the cloud to store and share, excellent. What I like the least and does not depend on the program is that you work in the network, using the internet, and if this fails as it usually happens in my country, it causes a significant delay in the projects that must be carried out

Pros: I need to create a LOT of flow charts of sorts to highlight workflow and processes with our internal team. I have tried Visio many many times and I just do not like using it. I find draw.io to work wonderfully in order to create very custom flow charts (that's the only thing I use it for). You can constantly change, move, reorder, rewrite etc everything on the chart. It has little snapping lines that help you adjust things to create a more aesthetically appealing chart. It's free and a wonderful tool!

Cons: My only con which is why I gave it 8 stars for would I rec commend, is that it takes a little while to get use to using. It's not the most user friendly and intuitive application so I did spend a good 20 minutes to learn where all the tools and functionality was. 20 minutes is not a long time, however for what I use the tool for it was longer than I was expecting.

Pros: Draw.io is my go-to tool for developing all sorts of diagrams. From flow charts, sequence diagram to structure diagrams, among others. The software is easy to use and have a lot of shapes. The fact that it is online is great ... and free ... whoppee! Files can be exported in a number of formats and can be saved and work continue at a later date. Will recommend this tool to any and everyone.

Cons: Maybe if I could save the files online and continue work from there ... but I might just be pushing it.

Overall: Great tool for developing all types of diagrams.

Pros: It was extremely easy to learn to use draw.io without any training or tutorials. The interface was intuitive. I've used it primarily to make complicated flow charts, and they look extremely clean and readable; it's much easier than trying to make flow charts on powerpoint or other microsoft office tools. There are a decent number of options for customization. Colors and styles can be changed, images can be imported, etc. In general, it's a free tool that you can start using quickly!

Additionally, the sharing features are great. It's easy to save your diagrams to google drive, or to generate links to share them with others.

Cons: While it's great for basic diagrams, it is somewhat limited in the number of different shapes that can be used. For everyday diagramming may be better to use a paid software with more flexibility.

Overall: Easy, good looking diagrams that were fast to create! Software that is free, and easy sharing capabilities with collaborators. I've used it for making quick patent diagrams and for complex diagrams which need to go into reports or presentations.

Pros: It is easy to use and free. I use it for sketching my thoughts as I think visually. It can also export to a Visio format (In beta at the time I write this) and I think it's the only free tool capable of doing so. Also, the integration with Google Drive and Google suite is very good.

Cons: Not too many templates, not a problem for me, really. Not as easy to use as some other (Paid) apps. Text and forms can be integrated better. Look at the Libre Office Draw. Sometimes a bit clumsy to use. Otherwise - great!

Pros: I have been using different software to create diagrams for company reports and other uses. With draw.io, everything comes easier, creation is fast, the formation of desired shapes and charts are very user-friendly. The software allows more customization more than other software that I have tried with similar features. The best part is the possibility of using the finished diagram with ease just by using a code generated by the software.

Cons: There are not many disadvantages to this software so far.

Pros: draw.io is the online software that i used almost every semester as an IT student! It contain anything that required for me to sketch any diagrams. I found it convenience as I can sketch my diagram using my browser instead of purposely download a software to sketch my diagram. It is able to link to my google drive account or even one drive account, that I am able to access those diagram and do editing in any places. On top of that, it is easy to use, free of charge and you can draw as much diagrams as your can!

Cons: Everything is fine except for the image uploaded cannot be resize as desired. The image uploaded are not able to just adjust either width or height.

Overall: This is the software that I would highly recommend! Simple user interface that make every user found it is easy to use!

Pros: Without a doubt, the characteristic I found the most valuable in this software was its ease of use!

I feel like anybody can fully use 80% of what the software has to offer which is a very good ratio considering whats available in the market. Then, you also get more advanced functions for those who work in the field, something that allows the average user to learn and evolve as professionals when exploring the software.

Cons: Sometimes I find it not as complete as other software available. However, for the price, it is unbeatable.

Overall: I used the software to solve a problem a was having trouble identifying. By mapping out the whole process using Draw.io I was able to spot the bottleneck and prepare a solution. The little amount it costs will save you a lot of money. Spend less, make more, there is nothing better than that, right?

A number of file types are supported, which was important for the variety of uses we had for the finished product. This is the great value for the price.

Cons: There could be more templates for users. While I was able to export to all the formats, I wish i was able to import a VSDX files.

Pros: It is free, and it has many of the core functions that Visio has, so I am able to usually make decent diagrams/drawings with it without having to purchase anything. I don't have to download any software but can access it from any browser.

Cons: It does not have as large of a database of images/elements as Visio has, so it is sometimes hard to find something that I am looking for. It also seems difficult to edit a stock image, for example reducing the line width or changing the color (I use this for patent drawings and all images need to be in black and white). I also have not found an easy way to export all tabs to a single PDF - rather I have to export each tab individually as a PDF and then combine them. There is no autosave function, so if I do not save consistently and my browser has a hiccup I may lose some of my work.

Overall: Overall I am very pleased with Draw.io. I have never started a project on it that I was not able to finish on it.

Pros: Draw.io is a very powerful addition to Google G-suite as an addition to Google Drawings. Due to the limitation of the Google Drawings, we needed an alternative to create infographics, idea maps, complex graphs. That is where we met draw.io online Google Docs-like tool. The interface is very similar what you would find on regular Google Docs or Google Slides. This makes it very easy to learn the tool. Not to mention great flexibility to store the information, connect the accounts.

Cons: As a free tool, it is difficult to come up with cons for draw.io. The only con for me would be some icons or buttons you see which lack few design elements. I am talking about Material design implementation which not many people would notice anyway.

Pros: Can it compete with Visio? Yes. Is it as robust? Not in every way, but it's a more than capable program. Draw.io has a wonderful support team that is dedicated to making a capable product that can rival a giant like Visio. This is an absolute necessary for small businesses.

Cons: You don't get the backing of a powerhouse like Microsoft. It's not as refined as Visio or as "visually striking", but it more than gets the job done.

Pros: When you need to make a diagram and do not have software or you do not like doing it with the applications that you have installed on your PC, Draw.io is the quick solution and it may be enough.

It is easy to use, and in a few hours you will be making diagrams of some complexity without problems. If you are also a user of Google Drive you will find it even more useful since it allows you to save your diagrams in your Google account.

We can use it directly from any browser, without having to download or install anything.

A side menu provides all the necessary elements to compose our diagrams, and we can print them, save them in Google Drive, insert them in our sites or export them in various formats: GIF, PDF, PNG and JPG.

Cons: It has so many options and ways of making diagrams that I do not see any inconvenience. I think this app is great.

Pros: The drawing tool set has a wide variety. You have hundreds of stencils to create different diagrams such as UML diagrams, Flowcharts, mock ups and more! The best part is the grid that allows for your creations to be symmetric and neat.

Cons: One of the main cons is that it is an online tool which means that you are dependent on internet connection. Another con is that the tool doesn't have start up stencils where it outlines an entire diagram and allows you to edit. That feature would have made creating charts that much easier.

Pros: - integrates well with Google docs (since it's also a Google product)

- we use this tool for our work purposes whenever we need to illustrate a workflow in a convenient matter (whether our internal ones or for clients)

- it is quite easy to use, but if you are a perfectionist, sometimes it can be tricky. Yet, the simplicity of use is the greatest advantage.

Cons: - user permissions sometimes are tricky (not sure what's the deal, but we have had issues with the files not being available to the users who have previously opened the given file and no one changed the permissions)

Overall: Great for illustrating workflows, IT infrastructure, and server architecture (that's what we use it for, but the functionality can be used for a billion other purposes)

Pros: Free as in beer. Lots of diagram shapes. Online is available everywhere, you can save and easier access your files in google drive, one drive or the device. Their proposition and value brings serious contender to a relative crowd market. Free means everyone can join in and contribute and share. Excellent for community projects

Cons: Not so easy to use. The wireframe shapes are just other shapes grouped together. This makes the editing experience really bad, in order to change something you have to work with individual low level circles, squares, lines and etc. The UML shapes for component diagram and the way connections for implement and require interfaces are useless.

Pros: Firstly, that it's free and second, that it's easy to use and that diagrams can be saved to Google Drive.

Cons: It might just be that I don't know how to do it...when a diagram is a little long, and I save it, I can't make it bigger to paste into another document. But there are ways around that, if you know how.

Overall: I can design process flows, free of charge, and save them to Google Drive.

Pros: My two favorite things about draw.io are how easy it is to get started and that you can save files to google drive. I've created diagrams to show user journeys, email campaigns, and channel attribution. All you need it a mouse and a keyboard.

Cons: It's easy to put a rectangle and a text box on the report. Once you've got twenty, it gets tricky to edit the layout of your diagram. Plan ahead to cut down on the edits you need to make later.

Overall: Visualizing campaigns and strategies to client that they can share internally.

Pros: As someone who is a visual thinking/planer/organizer, I find mind mapping extremely helpful. It is important for me to be able to literally see how things interact, overlap, and combine. Draw.io is a free app that enables mind mapping. Additionally, it's integration with Google Chrome gives it great accessibility.

Cons: The main issue I had with draw.io was it's user interface. It was a bit hard to use, making the software good for creating charts or presentation media, but less useful for planning and stream-of-thought mapping.

Overall: draw.io is useful for creating mind-maps, but doesn't fully compare to the ease of use, collaboration, and creativity of mindomo.

Pros: Draw.io has been extremely valuable in helping me create easy-to-read diagrams for various applications. Most of the diagrams I've made have been network related, and it does a great job at providing all the necessary shapes and tools to beautifully outline our network infrastructure. It's also free, that's probably one of the greatest parts.

Cons: Not quite as feature-rich as some of the paid tools like Lucidchart or Visio, but for what you pay (nothing), it's magnificent.
