I've had nothing but good experiences with Content Snare so far. Honestly, I don't know if I could do my job without it!

Pros

As a magazine editor juggling dozens of stories and contributors at a time, Content Snare helps keep everything organized and captures all of the content I need when I need it, without me having to remember to send reminders. It's also incredibly easy to set up and sending content requests takes less than a minute once you've got a template set up.

Cons

Honestly, nothing. I'm sure I could pick it apart and find something I'd like to see added or improved, but so far it has worked really well for what I've needed it for!

It is so quick and easy once it's all set up. I've found support to be brilliant with \[sensitive content hidden\] always there to listen.

Pros

Content Snare is great value for money. I find it extremely easy to use and customise. The customer support is top notch - nothing is too much trouble for the team

Cons

I can't think of anything I don't like about it. I know clients get a little overwhelmed, but I explain to them that we need to collect their information in a secure portal in one spot.

Above and beyond - a great experience for a very difficult project. I looked at may Survey- Questionnaire programs - this is the best.

Pros

Excellent customer support! Great Value for the money, Good program for our Survey. We use the "Request as a live zoom survey questionnaire.

Cons

I don't like that I can not choose a color for my text when I am formatting questions. I would like more ability in report formating.

Fantastic. Intial support from setting up and learning how to build templates etc was second to none.

Pros

What can I say about "Content Snare"? Its been an absolute game changer for us!!! I own and run a small accountancy practice, completely digital, servicing approx 350 clients. Previouly we used another tool to request information from clients. This was clunky, difficult to tailor to individual needs and did not allow us to answer questions directly within the request as each stage for the client if required. Content snare changed all that.... We have now created numerous templates for different circumstances (Onboarding clients, request VAT info, Making tax digital etc). We can also tailor each request very quickly to meet clients needs. We love the function where clients can message us from within the request if they are unsure or need further clarification. This has reduced my daily emails by around 80%. The ability to set recurring requests (Handy for VAT, payroll, etc) is superb. Clients have commented how easy it is to use and again, this has saved us so much time and reduced repetitive work. We now use it for every step of out client journey, from initial onboarding, letters of engagements, through to gathering year end information. Pricing is extremely competitive and the system is also secure (Which is vital in our field.

Cons

Nothing at all. If only all software was as good as this. I have found no negative points at all. New featres are continually being added and I look forward to seeing what is in the future plans.

I run a small, AI-first accounting practice in Sydney and Content Snare has become the front door for nearly every document we collect. The biggest win is that I've stopped chasing people. I send a request from a template and the automated reminders do the follow-up, so requests come back complete instead of dribbling in over email. Clients upload sensitive documents into a secure portal rather than emailing them, which is exactly what you want for AML and privacy. And since they opened up their API, I've connected Content Snare to Claude (MCP) and now pull completed responses and documents straight into my workpapers as evidence which has done wonders for how fast and cleanly I can prepare a file. Support has been genuinely helpful too. I asked about the API/MCP in one of their webinars and had it enabled the same week. Highly recommended for any accounting or bookkeeping firm tired of chasing paperwork.

Pros

Automated reminders are the killer feature. I've basically stopped chasing clients for documents which used to eat my week. The template library covers all our recurring jobs (client onboarding, ITR and FBT questionnaires, ATO client-agent linking, even bilingual TFN applications) so I'm not rebuilding forms each time. Everything comes in through a secure portal instead of email, so sensitive material like TFNs, IDs and bank statements isn't floating around inboxes. They've also recently opened up an API and an MCP, so I now run Content Snare through Claude and pull completed answers and documents straight into my workpapers as evidence. Every field timestamped and attributed to the client. Completion tracking makes it obvious at a glance what's still outstanding.

Cons

Not much to fault. The template library is so large that it takes a little upfront tailoring to get forms exactly how your practice wants them. Well worth it once it's set up. API access also wasn't enabled by default so I had to request it. Support switched it on within the same day.

Pros

Content Snare has cut down our administration time on collecting information requests by 75%, well in excess of 0.5 FTE at peak times. This is a huge cost saving and our clients, for the most part, love the format and easy to follow sequence of the request.

Cons

When sending out a request for a client group, if there are multiple entities in the request they all save to the main entity in FYI Docs.

Pros

Really helpful tool, especially being able to build templates for common recurring content requests - helps us with making the onboarding process so much smoother - allowing us to get into starting projects faster

Cons

Initial setup can be a bit confusing, especially configuring all the reminders etc to be sent out (either external and internal, or just internal, or no reminders)

My overall experience with Content Snare has been very positive. After using it for a few years, it has streamlined my content‑gathering workflow and removed much of the administrative overhead, giving me more time to produce and deliver quality work.

Pros

I most appreciate how Content Snare centralizes client content—copy, media, and files—so everything is organized in one place. It has noticeably reduced back-and-forth emails and sped up the collection process, plus the interface is intuitive for both my clients and me. The granular configuration options are especially valuable: I can tailor each request with deadlines, different request types, and clear instructions so contributors know exactly what’s needed.

Cons

I haven't observed any major drawbacks; the tool integrates well with my workflow. The only minor issue is that a client who's unfamiliar with new platforms may need a short walk-through, though the intuitive UI generally keeps that friction to a minimum.

Overall, our experience with Content Snare has been extremely positive. As a law firm, collecting documents from clients can often be one of the most time consuming parts of the intake process. Content Snare has helped streamline that process by providing a clear and organized way for clients to submit information and documents. It has improved efficiency for both our staff and our clients, reduced the need for repeated follow ups, and helped us move matters forward more quickly. The platform is easy to use, dependable, and has become a valuable part of our workflow.

Pros

We are a law firm and use Content Snare to collect documents and information from our clients. It has significantly improved our intake process by making it easier for clients to submit the documents we need and for our team to track what has been received. Since implementing it, we have seen faster turnaround times, fewer follow up emails, and a more organized workflow overall. Cons

Overall this has been a great program. We do have to remember to update the expiration dates when our clients are slow to respond, but we receive Content Snare emails to let us know of the expiration. It's also good that we can copy a link to the Snare and send it in an email to the clients who seem to be ignoring it, in case it's simply going to their Junk folder. The biggest issue we have is clients complaining about the constant reminders . . . but if they answered the questions and provided the data it wouldn't keep reminding them, right? One issue we had was with our offshore staff, who weren't permitted to view clients' data without authorization. Content Snare doesn't offer levels of security for who can see what. Ultimately, we were able to resolve this by getting a second subscription where we set up the Snares that the offshore staff can view.

Pros

Ease of use for staff, and the ability to create templates that can be easily used going forward even if they need to be tweaked for personalization.

Cons

Some of our clients find it difficult to use, especially if they are only working from their phones.
