Has always been easy to use, so simple and fast, great user interface. All around a cost efficient way to run payroll easiky and quickly without the fears of doing it wrong.

Pros

I like the way I can access employee information easily, reports are simple to run, payroll takes literally 5 minutes. They file important tax info, help answer any questions, make my business life so much simplier.

Cons

My own inability to take the time to learn certain features is the only issue I have. And that's on me.

### "Great Payroll Done with the Least Amount of Problems"

I have worked with accounting firms in the past. They are expensive and required more 'hands - on' than was convenient. Hiring an accounting firm was always more expensive. On Pay is a brilliant setup that is as easy-as-pie. However, if I need any questions answered they are immediate with response and help.

Pros

Using the On Pay interface was very easy and logical. It took me no time to pay my employees. The format is easy to navigate and the setup is quite user friendly. I like that I need not fuss with taxes and other payroll distributions. It is all done right here. My employees get direct deposit and end of year tax documentation. I get a running narrative of where I stand at anytime I wish, as pertains to payroll.

Cons

I have yet to find fault with On Pay. Any questions or help was very quickly offered. Being in agriculture has its own areas of tax and qualifications, and On Pay was ready to go with what I needed.

Reason for choosing OnPay

I researched what was available online - On Pay was my 1st and only choice. I am grateful for this brilliant company. My payroll is now a breezy thing to deal with.

### "Great for payroll, doesn't hold your hand"

Pros

It is very easy to get payroll up and running. Additionally, it has a good quickbooks integration, however it doesn't tell you that the quickbooks connection only lasts 30 minutes which is why you have to log in each time. It also has a great user interface and feels very modern and sleek, which is nice to have for payroll.

Cons

The automated filings for things such as UI and WC can get a bit difficult, especially if you have your own coverage. It also doesn't ask you if you already are compliant when you tell it you are a new company. It doesn't need to in order to function, but it would be nice for small companies to have the extra bit of guidance.

All good. I would (and have) recommend OnPay.

Pros

OnPay seems to be a great payroll provider for me and my business. I am a small shop (solo attorney), so cost is a concern as well as accuracy and reliability in my payroll and tax filings. OnPay has not disappointed me. Their customer service team has been able to deal promptly with the few issues that have arisen and has adapted to my local taxing bureau. Their service reps have been available for prompt responses to my inquiries no matter how small. Bringing on new employees is pretty seamless as is generating year-end or quarterly reports as needed.

Cons

I don't like the auto-reply that says they've received my email and they'll reply. Kind of annoying. Also, the two day float for ACH debits is a bit of a lag, but I understand why they must do it.

Easy to use but the security issues may not be worth it.

Pros

I love how easy it is to navigate the software! It's so intuitive and simple to use

Cons

When I initially set up my account I set it up with a password. After that, the website would no longer let me log in with my password. I could only login with just my email, which felt a little sketchy.

Onpay has streamlined the payroll process for me. I run my clients payroll in a fraction of the time and for a fraction of the cost.

Pros

The ease of setup, integration, and running payroll. They have simplified the process. Also the price is a fraction of other payroll companies.

Cons

There are a few features i would like to see added, such as automatic payroll.

OnPay allows for me to spend more time growing my business and less time managing payroll. The tools allow my employees to manage their information and withholdings while integrating a small business 401k partner into our payroll process.

Pros

The software platform is easy to use, while providing enough tools and reports to be effective. I also utilize one of their retirement partners to seamlessly integrate our 401k plan.

Cons

I have had no complaints or issues with OnPay.

Overall experience with OnPay has been wonderful. We have been with OnPay for about one year now. The ease of knowing that the deductions, withdrawals, taxes etc does not have to be done by myself, is fabulous! Customer service is on point! OnPays chat team replies in seconds. Very informative. They lead you to the right directions. Being a small business, The price is very reasonable for All they have to offer. I’ll be keeping them for a long time. And I highly recommend OnPay.

Pros

Very easy to put hours in and submit payroll. Love that the taxes are withdrawn and done for you. Love customer service.

Cons

The only thing I think was a bit of getting used to were trying to navigate to find the right tax papers etc. But with help you do get used to it. Also, there was a problem with payroll being processed twice within two minutes from each other. There should have been a pop up stating you already processed a payroll. Do you want this one also ?

Just that it was for small businesses and we didn’t need much more than that. The price was reasonable. Very attentive.

Cons

I have had many interactions with Onpay employees. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. It is a company that is reachable when you are working on payroll. If you are afraid of making a mistake they are here to assist.

Pros

It was very easy to set up as a first time small business owner. It only took few hours to do the initial set up but I was able to have direct deposit done for my first employee on the payroll day. Now Onpay offers more HR features than it did 5 years ago. My recommendation to a new business owner, is to take advantage of that function or feature at the beginning of the set up and allow a little more time to get it done correctly.

Cons

When they are changes, features are moved around and it is hard to find them but with Chat, it is easy to get someone to help you right away. I do not see any negatives apart from that.

OnPay's software has made my payroll processing very simple. I can access payroll reports whenever I need to and it's really easy to add new employees. The helpdesk has always been friendly and always has the answers I need when I'm using a new feature.

Pros

The software is very user friendly and doesn't require very much training to use.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I don't like about the software.

Pros

OnPay allows the user to find any report; run payroll and find answers to questions easily.

Cons

It is all user friendly. If there is something negative about the software it's that I don't need to use a feature that often and forget how to find it.

Alway friendly staff that is eager to help answer any questions and get us to a resolution. Software is simple and packed with features.

Pros

This software makes Payroll easy! it is very intuitive with no issues. When we do have questions, we can quickly and easily speak with a rep that is easy to understand and help us with helpful answers.

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the information we are looking for, but after just a little bit of searching we can put our eyes on what we need. Most of the time it is just a matter of us not remembering where a particular function or feature is located.

Very happy! It has been a great experience working with their people and their software!

Pros

We use OnPay for our Payroll twice a month. Once the information for each employee is in their system, payroll is a breeze! Their Customer Service is 2nd to NONE! Whenever I have had a question, no matter who I have spoken to, they seem genuine in their concern for my problem and are patient, helpful and friendly. I have never called and not had my issue resolved while on the call.

Cons

I was a little confused initially in getting new employees set up. Having never worked with Payroll before, this was a challenge for me. But now it is easy.

Pros

As it was my first time to do an online payroll system I wanted a program which filed all the paperwork for me and keep track of my payroll. I like the fact that i have a number which i can call to talk to someone regarding issues i may have, like when i had to add a payroll deduction. I can also chat online immediately with OnPay employee to explain any new things that i am starting or having problems with.

Cons

When i first started working in the software I was somewhat lost, until i watched some videos and called the customer service line, this is important to get everything correct before you start working on the program, maybe just a start-up letter would have helped me during those initial few days.

When I need to speak with someone there are short hold times.

Cons

The tracking for EST and PTO for employees should be viewable when they login. At this point I think it is only viewable once they go through the process of clicking their latest payroll statement.

Pros

After years of misery with Paychex I am still grateful to OnPay for their simple, consistent billing, excellent and prompt customer service and intuitive report retrieval. It was very easy to set up. I really love this service. And it is very reasonably priced.

Cons

In terms of cons, I'd tweak some of the reports and maybe rearrange the dashboard a tiny bit but let me reiterate I love this service.

As a small company, OnPay was very easy to set up and reliably delivers for us for onboarding, payroll, etc. They've always been extremely supportive and responsive, and they stepped up their game during COVID by making all of the PPP reporting and application materials available on the front screen.

Pros

OnPay makes it very easy to onboard and serve our staff. The reporting functions are well put together, and provided us with everything we need for banking, finance, etc.

Cons

My only complaint about OnPay is that the UIUX isn't quite as sleek as some of the other competitors, but the ease of use and features are all on target.

The big problem solved over the previous provider experience is the quality of customer service. Instead of being handed from 'specialist' to 'specialist', and putting up with constant confusion, mis communication and errors, OnPay are just on it. When you talk or communicate with OnPay you communicate with a real person who knows their business, what your business needs, their software, and who won't stop working with you personally until you are completely happy.

Pros

Visually intuitive platform that takes what is a central admin process from functional to pleasurable. OnPay offers simple, clear, visually attractive navigation for both the admins and the employees. Multiple reports options with the same visual simplicity and clarity, all easily sharable and usable. By comparison to the alternative payroll software we used prior, OnPay feels like its been designed by users, and not by accounting mechanics.

Cons

The OnPay software just works, if there are problems, or least likes, can't think of anything significant.
