August 20, 2021 4.0 Pros On pay has taken the worry and hassle of church payroll away. There are some special tax exemptions for churches in CA when it comes to payroll and OnPay takes care of all the proper reporting and filing. Cons We have one employee that gets paid on two separate schedules and I need to manually change the job status each month for each different schedule. Also if I process the whole month's payroll in advance there is no way to see what payrolls are pending. Review Source Laura L. I can now also keep my pay private from managers in my company who run payroll. Set-up was a breeze and I have not experienced a single issue while using OnPay. These are reasons why I've added payroll processing to services that I provide small businesses. I can't imagine switching any of my clients to other platforms. Pros I like that when I was employed by two companies that used this OnPay I could choose which company I need my paystubs from and that they were in the same place. Cons I didn't like the user interface. It seemed a little out dated, I also helped my boss with setting up new employees and with what there is now for software it seemed a little archaic. It has all I need and the costs are reasonable for a small business like mine. Pros Extremely easy to use especially for those people not into software. I hate paperwork and don't have a big enough operation to justify hiring a book keeper. Pros It's just a payroll service... but it's relatively easy to use and feature rich when it comes to generating reports. My paperwork was extremely clean and correct when I submitted my application for a PPP loan and it sailed through without any problems. I have no complaints. Cons It's not free I guess? " September 30, 2017 5.0 Puts me in control of Payroll data entry. Allows multiple pay runs without extra cost. Gives employees access to their payroll records. Pros Customer support is great. Any issue or question that I have encountered is addressed almost instantly. I have had terrible experiences with other payroll companies in the past concerning egregious data errors on their end leaving our company to clean up the mess. Onpay puts the onus on the employer to properly enter payroll data and works flawlessly from there. Tax support is quick and helpful. Cons There is little to not like. We've only had minor issues with tax reporting that we're promptly addressed by Onpay. Review Source PP Patty P. Easy to manage your employees. Cons I switched to Onpay because it was recommended by our dental association. What a mistake. The help is not helpful. They neglected to pay our quarterly taxes and I received two seperate notices from our state. When I call the HELP number, they say to just email the notices for hello@onpay.com. You will never talk to a live person if you need real help. One guy was so rude, I actually called and asked if there was anyway I could not have him help me, but there isn't. I have been with payroll services for 15 years and I am leaving this one and I would NEVER recommend them. Can't believe the poor customer service. And help is always around the corner. Pros What's not to love? The monthly fee is very reasonable & includes remitting payroll taxes, filing quarterly returns, prompt customer service, and generating W2s & 1099s. They also guarantee their calculations & filings, so if you incur a penalty, they'll pay it. Cons Have to think about this... nope, nothing! Review Source CF Cindy F. Allows us to focus on mission. Pros Streamlined process for employee selection, approval and submission of payroll. Employee pay and Withholding tax information is easy to see and manually recreate in in financial software for expense vouchering. Glad to see onPay step up their offering with fully-integrated 401k and tax sheltered health plan providers. Cons Removing a no-longer needed payroll run setup is a pain point. I do not have the headache of having to calculate payroll, file and pay taxes ect. It is all taken care of. All I have to do is enter the hours and print the reports off. It is easy! Pros I like the simplicity of the site. Staff are always at hand instantly and always helpful and resolve any questions I have - nothing is too much trouble. Reports are all there to print off. It allows me to get on running the business and not have to worry about calculating payroll, submitting taxes and filing - it is also worth every penny. Talk about value for money!!! Very happy! Our business is simple and did not want something complex to process payroll once a month. Cons Have to ask for help with setting up items but staff are typically very helpful. Had a W-2 correction that was needed, sent in a request and its been more than 30 days since I head a response on this, that is the only issue that I have with Onpay. I made the switch from ADP and I can honestly say that the experience has been better in every single way! Pros The customer service is the area that Onpay shines the most. Which is followed very closely by the fair cost for service. Cons Some of the advanced features aren't always intuitive, but customer support is always fast and friendly. Software easy to use and setup was seamless. We are in Atlanta so we also love that we can support a local business. We have had a great experience and have recommended Onpay to other business owner friends. Cons No cons so far. Overall it has been great.
