Pros: So much can be done with Target Process and I love that about the software. Also really nicely laid out so it's easy to figure out how to navigate

Cons: Although the lay out is nice and it's easy to figure out how to navigate thanks to common sense, but there's just so so much that you can do. It is a little over whelming but I know that once I get the hang of it, it'll be wonderful!

Pros: I liked the platform with which you can easily discuss projects among participants. Managers can create several separate projects, distribute roles, define requirements and conduct alerts to all employees about important information. I use this platform to plan, organize, distribute tasks among all our employees, since the system is so large that not everyone uses it in full when we start to run into problems.

Cons: The program is not very convenient for users who have little experience with such software. The platform runs a bit slower than in creating several tasks, stories, because they are presented in the form of maps instead of simple list items.

Pros: I love this service. I have been using it some years and recommended it to my colleagues. The drag and drop interface is great. You can customize your views and cards to fit your needs. Also, we used the API to create our own request system. We also use the reporting to generate various reports for the stakeholders. Live Chat with their support is always pleasant, in most cases, three minutes into the session, and the question is done. So in short: try it!

Cons: One of the areas in which I want the Targetprocess to be stronger is to process new requests from our stakeholders. Sometimes I am working on Edge, and Targetprocess doesn't work as good as expected, but they have great performance on Chrome and Firefox.

Pros: I like the ability to search for different versions of documents, when I need to find specific details, I don¿t have to track them down through different versions of the same document or spreadsheet; everything is accessible right from one place. Having everyone work from the same tool has made cooperation between departments much easier. Now we use this service to the full extent of development, customer support, marketing, our design team, and content management.

Cons: I would really love it if it was easier to split stories that we could not complete all the tasks in one sprint. Right now I find myself manually creating duplicate stories and moving the tasks to the duplicate stories in the next sprint.

Pros: This web-service is convenient for teamwork; you can easily discuss projects between the participants. Managers can create several individual projects, distribute roles, specify requirements, and conduct alerts to all employees about important information. The important functions of the service are: the assess the workload of employees, road maps, custom reports, batch dragging, creating custom plug-ins. Also I can easy create personalized views that are very useful to track stories in sprints. We use Targetprocess for project management. I like quick access to the right information; all processes are transparent and easily tracked. The product is really quality. As I already wrote, it was not easy to get used to the interface, but it was worth it. Quality service with many interesting and useful functions. You will be able to manage and control all employees. Targetprocess is suitable for managers, administrators, managers, and programmers, as well as freelancers.

Cons: At first glance, the settings are simple, but when you start to get deeper into work, there are difficulties in working with.

Pros: What I like most about Targetprocess is that I can associate the processes with existing tools in order to guarantee a constant workflow in the groups that are involved. It really is very useful and what is impressive is how easy it is to use.

Cons: What I did not like is its interface, it needs to be more intuitive. But it's still easy to use and it's very efficient.

Overall: With Targetprocess I can build my own views dynamically, as well as reports and many other tasks. In addition to being able to count on the desk service, which is one of the most efficient functions that it has.

Pros: I would suggest this tool to any company that is looking not only for ticket tracking, but also a product and project management tool. Their support also works well, they ask users to actively participate in surveys in which they find out who would like to improve the products. Project management, assignment and tracking tasks of this software are fantastic. Definitely experiment with the settings before getting frustrated, since there may be a way to enable or disable some messages that the program will automatically send. I use this program to track errors and track custom stories to help the company on one page and move in the right direction. The program allowed us to track all projects in one convenient place, and everyone in the team is aware of what everyone else does, where the projects are and where they should be.

Cons: It would be nice to have simpler steps in the workflow. But this is not a big problem, because the platform works very well. Most teams have a mixed approach to their unique structure, and it is difficult to make this program always respond effectively.

Exclusive workflow, with flexible process.

Pros: The process of destiny allows having certain organization of style in our beginning and the entities can have many relations. You can have a project that contains epic songs composed of stories separated by tasks, it's great. allows you to easily add images in the online editor.
It has visibility for tasks. Easily visualizing which task is assigned to each person. Easily customizable to configure the WIP and the rules around it. It has contributed greatly to increasing our daily productivity and the level of transparency has increased.

Cons: One of my complaints could be, the dragging of tasks through the plates, since it still presents me with certain errors. This should be fixed as soon as possible, because it is delayed even in the best machines and regardless of the configuration we previously made.

Overall: Mostly we use it to manage a team of few developers. It is excellent to keep track of everything related to the process and to allow product managers to have an idea of the work constantly.

Pros: One of the things scrum managers like about Targetprocess is the visual features. When you bundle visuals into project management, you cut through the clutter of missing variables.

Targetprocess offers a robust visual module that allows you to graph and create elegant models to represent project variables. Another nice thing is their reporting feature. Face it, reporting is critical to burn rates. With so much flexibility, this tool is a great solution for anyone looking to maximize manpower and efficiencies.

Cons: The cons I think need to be considered are integration and flexibility with third-party tools. Working on projects often requires you to use a handful of other tools. Being able to integrate Targetprocess into other software development tools would be ideal.

Overall: Overall, Targetprocess is an easy solution to track, plan and grow your product. I recommend it for anyone looking for an alternative to other tools.

Pros: Flexibility

Cons: Learning curve

Overall: We went through a dozen of different software packages to find a solution that would match our business process.
It has been already a year since we started using Target Process and the more we learn the more impressive.
Initially, it may be not very intuitive, but after some practice and after reading *excellent* how-to articles you can appreciate the flexibility and power.
So the learning curve may be a bit harder than other software packages, but you will get what you need.
From the cost perspective - the only thing I would suggest is to have a separate price for Active users and the rest of the users (kind of read-only / observer user, but with the capability to have work assigned to him).

Pros: It's brilliant for Kanban/Scrum tracking.

Cons: The learning curve is steep. This is not really the fault of Target Process. But more because there is so much functionality, it takes a while to learn it all.

Overall: I've been using Targetprocess for the last 12 months to keep track of tasks in the CRM area of my Marketing team and it has been fantastic. It does everything you would want with Scrum tracking - we can create iterations/sprints, measure velocity, assign stories to people, create tasks underneath that, etc.

The only thing I would suggest is that if you are new to Scrum/Kanban, because it has so many more features, TargetProcess can have a steeper learning curve than simpler tools such as Trello.

Pros: Extreme flexibility, with a solution for every workflow in a software development environment

Cons: Tough to set up initially, without a sharp couple of folks to own it, learn it, and get it going in the org.

Overall: It's a blank canvas at first, with a few processes and workflows ready to go. It took a dude at our company really considering our own process and customizing the workflow to fit that, and we were off and rolling. Swimlanes with the ability to drag items in and out, up and down. Tasks on stories with their own swimlanes. Communication and notification options that are easy to contol. TP is the hub of everything.

You want it done? Create a request. That's the way we do business and work, thanks to TargetProcess.

Bear in mind, it doesn't just happen automatically--you need an organizationally-minded individual or two to get the vision, learn the platform, and make it happen, but we've made this the hub of every operation at our company.

Pros: how configurable it is so that each team can set up things how they want it to be setup and for what works best for their team.

Cons: it is hard for people to understand the product when they first start using it. Also the queries are confusing for people who don't want to take the time to understand how they can use it.

Overall: I manage a team of 7 developers working on multiple projects, as well as manage their work in target process for their sprints.

Recommendations to other buyers: we have been using this product for a few years now, and there are some issues we run into with multiple teams and work/cards not being able to be placed in multiple projects. We also have issues with managers trying to prioritize work for their team who is working on multiple projects.

Pros: Fast, high customization and easy to create custom boards.

Cons: - query language is often difficult
- arrow on scrolling the board
- burn down

Overall: Generally speaking i love target process and the way you do things guys.
i would have to be honest the only thing really piss me off is the arrows in the boards in order to scroll if there are too many columns and row. i already said this many time to the tech support and also offered my experience in the canvas rendering but in 3 years you have not yet took that in consideration.

overall the product is pretty good and amazing.
My personal opinion is that the way of estimation and the timeline component are the most weak ones and i would suggest to explore them a bit more.
in a project is of course fundamental to speed up the daily work and there you can just adjust little bugs, but the real crucial point of the development is to don't make wrong estimations and being able to respect those. i think that here the tool should help more.
As i said i think this would take the product to the next level but if someone asks me if i would ever come back to some other products or jira ..... NO WAY!

Cons: Left navigation needs multiple levels, no undo, templates for a given team would be great

Overall: I have tried Mingle, Jira, Version One, Trello and a whole host of other PM tools and I constantly come back to TP.
It's a portfolio, story mapping, delivery and QA test tool all in one but is so much more. You can use it for software development, ticket management as well as on any project that has clear visible workflows that can be visualized. It's strengths are its flexibility and ease of use and the fact that it is constantly being improved based on real customer feedback.

Pros: Ability to customize

Overall: I have used Target Process at 2 companies now, in very different capacities. I liked the experience so much at my previous employer, when my current job needed a project tool, I recommended TP first and did a test drive with my team. They caught on quickly and also liked a lot of the features.
The ability to add custom fields and create mashups really helps in building templates for my team to follow.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take it for a test drive as-is, then start customizing.

Comments: There are some features missing, such as running average velocity predictions and the ability to easily split stories in a sprint when NOT using tasks (Dev effort finished but QA effort hasn't, so split story into next sprint to realize the dev effort for velocity). Pros: The ease of the boards once they are setup.

Cons: Difficult to setup boards. The reporting is not great. Limitations to what I can add logic wise.

Overall: I really like using the boards, but they can be difficult to setup. Also some of the business logic setup around the boards doesn't jive with what we want to do sometimes. The worst part for me is forecasting and reporting. It takes a lot of data for the burn down to be accurate. Which is frustrating.

Pros: I like the easy-to-use, intuitive interface. I like that I can drag items from lane to lane.

Cons: I don't like that there is no easy and obvious way to delete projects from my view. I've been using the platform for a while, and a lot of the projects I worked on at the start aren't really relevant for me any more. I'd love an easy way to archive those.

Overall: Target Process has been a terrific tool for being able to organize small and large projects alike and to stay on target. They are continually updating the platform to integrate the elements and functionality requested by their users. Overall, I like the platform, and the limitations I've had with Target Process so far aren't really alien to the entire industry of project management platforms (i.e. so much information in a single view that it can be overwhelming).

Recommendations to other buyers: Not really. I have recommended this product several times since I've started using it.

Pros: One place for any information about projects

Cons: Hard work to build the rights views
Inconsistency : differents views of a same item (task /US) doesn't offer the same actions // the same way of actions (IE : assigning a team / a teamiteration)

Overall: We choose TP for it's ability to answer most of our needs in Agile / Scrum / Kanban.
You can can do almost "anything you want"... but sometimes you get lost in "what is the best way to do it".
We needed several weeks (months !) before finding the right views for each situation of our work (conception, plannification / getting things done / reviewing / making the stats /...), and the right procedure to read (or record) the right information

As there are many ways to access/edit an information, some actions are not always available when you think they would.
IE :
- Adding time spent in the past is really hardwork // especially you have to add US/tasks that weren't previously created
- Changing TeamIteration for a task or a US is not available in every view of a task/US in the work hierarchy

But in the end, TP is pretty helpful for us.
Keep on going !
Thanks guys

Cons: - no integration with github (ticket number is hard to use)

Overall: Used TP for about 3 years. It's object design underneath make all sense from an engineer's perspective. Love all the capabilities to customize my workflow and boards, color code it with extentions etc. Support is really great! It wins JIRA and TRELLO in my opinion.

Recommendations to other buyers: Although I LOVE this product very much, I often find it's so hard to train non-engineers to use it. Business people simple don't have this 'object oriented thinking'. Views-Data-Flow design and how Epic/sprint/releases etc. related to each other... that just seem to NEVER understood by my sales teams and some stakeholders. It's too flexible for them. Yet, they play a very important part in what tools to buy. solutions guys? ;-)

Pros: Highly customizible with a solid, flexible API so we can integrate our own reporting and management systems into it.

Cons: Not much. I can't imagine how to make a piece of software this powerful and flexible without having a learning curve. It definitely has a learning curve.

Overall: We have adopted TP not just in development but for all the work we do regardless of the type (e.g. design, media buying, research, etc.). It's fantastic but it takes time for people to get the hang of it. It's a great tool and I haven't seen anything that compares.

Recommendations to other buyers: Setting it up and customizing it for your own company's workflow is the hardest part. We tried a couple different configurations over the years before we settled on one we liked. Think carefully before you configure it. You'll still get it wrong, but hopefully it'll be less wrong.

Pros: Easy to customize
Easy to use
very accessible

Overall: Maybe this sounds familiar to some people...
As a member of an IT organization we are offering cutting edge solutions to our company users, but our own tools are, lets say not so 'edgy'.
As the leader of a solution team, I was looking for a tool which can serve as a commonly used data repository and will replace the almighty Excel sheets.
With Targetprocess we handle now demand management, release planning, progress reporting and time backreporting for several software products. The system is easy to use and you do not need to be a very technical person to create your own views.
My stakeholders like Target Process, because they can see real time what is going on and I like it, because I do not have to provide so many progress reports as I needed to.
Another very good feature of Targetprocess is its flexibility. It enabled us to implement our whole process (5 involved teams, defined handover points) within the limits of standard customization which we could do ourselves.
We are still very satisfied with our decision and I would make the same decision again.

Recommendations to other buyers: Like with all other pieces of software...it is only as good as the defined process which it supports.

Pros: Ease to tracking lots of projects

Cons: The Search

Overall: Overall very good, the latest version is a vast improvement over previous ones. My only complaint is the search is a bit hit a miss In part, I think this is to do with our teams not properly tagging cards

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you use the tags to categorise content

Pros: Ease to use, search

Cons: Unable to update attachments. to update I have to download the file, save it and upload it. It is lot of work for a small edit.

Overall: We switched from physical board to TP. Our team loves it because it can be accessed from anywhere and status can be seen in real time. Members can communicate back and forth by emails and files, screenshots can be part of the card.

Recommendations to other buyers: Some people are reluctant to make a switch from the physical board. Give it a try to Target Process.

Comments: I am a Solutions Designer for epay. My main role is to design functional and technical requirements for specific projects. TP in general is easy to use and my only complaint would be around character limits and the format bar. We use a section for Acceptance Criteria and large requirements can run out of room quickly. We get around this by placing main descriptions and screenshots in the larger description section. For either section, once you enter enough data, the format ribbon is static and doesn't scroll as the page continues. This forces a user to scroll up and down to select format options if they do not know the keyboard shortcuts.

Pros: Ease of use and constant improvements.

Cons: For me, there seems to be some obvious functionality that is not included such as duplicating user stories, tasks, test cases and such.

Overall: In all the application works well and has lots of value for it's role in our day to day operations. My company uses the system as the corner stone application for our agile project development system of management and for the most part it works quit well. The system is flexible enough not to lock you into a pre-determined work-flow box but structured just enough to help save you from yourself at times. There are many opportunities for improvements such as duplicating user stories, tasks, and test cases as new items, the filtering is found to be quite difficult especially for non-development folks such as myself, and the ability to share boards with outside teams or clients could be a tad more useful. In all a solid product that fits with just about any team size that is dependable and constantly improving.

Recommendations to other buyers: For me having a less developer centric approach may benefit. Not to say you should move away from that as this tool is made to help the development process, but many people who use are not developers so simplifying things such as filters would be helpful.

Pros: All the features available make for a very flexible tool. We use it in so many ways with a whole variety of views into our execution and planning.

Cons: I do sometimes find it difficult to find a card if I don't know which view to start searching from.

Overall: Target Process allows us to have all kinds of views that meet a whole host of needs including bug tracking, feature development, release planning, product/design research and planning and more.

Pros: Flexibility

Cons: Slower setup time

Overall: We've been searching for a project management platform that gives us the balance we need between flexibility for unconventional projects and rigid orthodoxy. Target Process is feature rich without drowning us in a tool that compels our managers to spend as much time using the tool as actually managing what the tool is supposed to report.

Pros: Simplicity and lot of features. It's perfect for tracking stories.

Cons: Learning curve is bit long if we want to go in deep but that's expected from these kind of products.
Wish there are different states for stories like Test Env Pass, UAT pass, production etc.

Overall: I have been using TargetProcess for about 18 months and the product is great. All the epics, stories and bug tracking is nice. Its convenient but requires some amount of learning curve to get into it.

Recommendations to other buyers: I wish there could be more states to the stories/bugs. Maybe user defined states.

I love target process. Manage the project and share status is very easy with Target Process.

Pros: Ease of use and customer support for my problems

Cons: Reports and statistics are not easy to generate. But it is possible that I am not good with reports and all

Overall: I am fresher in IT. I got into a project, and with 1 day I learn to use target process. Though to send statistics and graphs are bit more difficult. But you have got an amazing support team. I got my answers and also my issues were get logged and processed also. I am really happy with support. And love overall Target Process. All the best for your bright future..

Recommendations to other buyers: I wanted to see my assign and completed task easily. Like I am able to see the sprint and iteration plan. Also settings can be more easy

Pros: The beauty of TargetProcess is in its flexibility. When we started using TP we tweaked it all kinds to track our workflow the way we wanted. Over time our process has moved a bit more true to "pure" scrum and many of those customizations have gone away. We still have tweaks here and there to track extra info or to track things just how we like, but in general the tool is right on the money.

Cons: Some of the default calculations aren't what we'd prefer. For example: the sum total of points in a feature only includes stories, not bugs. We've worked around that though.

Recommendations to other buyers: I love the live support. It's very helpful. I'd love more work to be done on the custom filters, they work well but could be a bit more flexible.

Overall: The interface very good. There should be more connection points with 3rd party services. A way to create project templates is really needed. 20$ monthly is higher than what I m ready to give.
