Pros: Can't say enough good things about Bonus.ly. Their awesome integrations are top notch (Single Sign-On with Office 365/Azure AD, Syncs with our HR system Zenefits, Bots for MS Teams/Slack). Also, when we've had hiccups, the Support team has always been extremely responsive.

We spend hundreds of dollars on SaaS apps per user. Adding $25 to allow employees to reward each others hard work and dedication with a coffee or beer (or Amazon gift card)...is no brainer.

Supporting and securing modern cloud mesh applications is stressful work for our hard working engineers and support team members. Bonus.ly provides some additional ways to reward inter and intra team comradery.

Lastly, the integration with our culture and values by requiring each bonus be hashtagged with one or more company values gives us great analytics to our top performers and alignment. It's tangible data that highlights the team members accomplishments through the year. helping at performance reviews.

PS - Did I mention it pretty much runs itself (users auto created/deleted based on HR status + Single Sign-On for Office 365 or Google means no extra passwords to remember)?

Cons: That we didn't implement it sooner at our organization.

Pros: I like the platform's automatic fulfillment and we use custom awards which are really cool. The ability to select cash increments is nice. The custom naming of points (we call them "Sploints" in our office) is awesome. Appreciate the slack integration.

Cons: It would be cool if my staff were able to trade their points. Sometimes we do Poker nights, and would be fun for our staff to trade away the points that they've earned. I find the interface used to be very confusing to find where I can configure things. I wish that we could use more hashtags than the current limit. I find in our slack log, gets a bit crazy when everyone "adds" to someone elses's bonus. Would be nice to either have a toggle to shut that particular slack message off (others bonusing on an existing bonus) or somehow consolidate.

Overall: Team micro-bonusing allows our staff to recognize each other regularly, which is very important.

Poker nights sound like a fun team-building activity! (We're game night enthusiasts around here, too!) It would be fun to tie Bonusly in with your poker nights though! Perhaps some custom rewards such as starting chips, or a cool hat to wear while playing? Just a thought!

Pros: It's easy to use. Minimal set up and basically no maintenance at all. It also integrates well with the other tools we use, like Office 365 and Slack, so people can see a live feed of bonuses that are given around the company. There are some basic analytics and fun analytics (like a word map created out of the terms used in bonuses during the past 30 days). And they are introducing new features regularly. Recently, they developed an alert system to help prevent fraudulent bonus distribution (which may be a concern for large organizations).

Cons: I can't really put anything in this column. The only thing that could be improved on would probably be adding more granularity to their analytics and perhaps longer timelines for their analytics. But even those things have improved in the last few years that we have been using the software. They are always improving.

Overall: This software is an incredible tool for praise and peer-to-peer bonuses. We see it consistently improve people's satisfaction with work. You can redeem your bonuses from a wide variety of vendors, from Amazon gift cards to giving donations to the Red Cross. I cannot recommend this software enough!

Pros: I like the selection of gift cards/options to spend your bonusly on. I like how easy it is to award bonsly to someone.

Cons: I used my bonusly once to purchase a sephora gift certificate which came via email. The code would not work on the site. I then went to the actual store and the cashier still could not get it to work. Finally the manager was able to somehow help her. It shouldn't be that hard. And im not sure who to even contact if something goes wrong with what you've chosen. It was kind of stressful. That being said, I've been using bonusly for awhile and this is the first time it happened.

Overall: Overall i find bonusly to be a great reward system and love the items to select from.

Pros: The Bonusly system is extremely easy to use. It requires basically zero training. Our employees love the opportunity to recognize and reward each other.

We started using the system as part of the launch of our core values, intending to only use it 2-3 months. It's been a positive enough experience, though, we can't stop now!

The system forces users to tie the micro bonus to one or more predefined hashtags. We have hashtags for each of our core values. This gives us a daily reinforcement of how we apply our core values to real life situations and recognizes/rewards employees for doing so.

Cons: There are only 3 downsides. 1.) You are introducing a new cost into the business, so you need to make sure it's worth it. For us, it has been. 2.) Some of our users report the mobile app doesn't work well, so they will only use the actual website. 3.) The analytics package is amazing, however you can't really share the analytics (like the word map) easily outside of the admin module.

Honestly, these seem kind of nit-picky. The positives significantly outweigh the negatives.

We were worried that employees might game the system and just give bogus bonuses to one another. We haven't had any problems with that. They give meaningful and motivating bonuses.

Pros: Very easy to use, integrations with Slack make it even easier, automation and reporting great to ease administration. Rewards available are great and even being able to create your own.

Cons: don't like the pricing model of the automated birthday/anniversary, for what it offers seems a bit steep

Overall: enables others to give shout-outs to others in the low admin way. Our teams have really taken to this program and it has helped improve moral and has become a part of our culture

Pros: I like that all employees get a say in who can get a bonus. It is a great way to help show your appreciation. Someone ran a report for you? Send them points. Someone covered while you were on PTO? Send some points. Its great.

Cons: I love it. I think the things I don't love only really revolve around my specific business. Like I would like a larger allowance to be able to give out more points throughout the month but that is specific to my company.

Overall: It is a great product.

Updates of ideas for gifts

Fantastic software that is provided to allow staff to acknowledge team memebers. This allows the Organisation to give incentives/encouragement to receive gift/gifts once earned enough points. This has also allowed staff to have group lunches which also encourages team morale with their points.

Cons: To be honest I find it straight forward.

I have in the past had a few issue's with updating our credit card details. Had updated, but still received email that we owed funds.

I find since you made a few changes the platform has a better flow to follow

Overall: As mentioned before, I believe Bonusly is a software program that allows staff to acknowledge each other and boost morale in the Office.

The Company is shown to care and provide an extra incentive to their staff.

Pros: Our team loves the opportunity to promptly reward positive behavior and helpful acts of service with something tangible like a Bonusly reward. We had been doing shout-outs already, but to actually pair a shout-out with a financial reward that you can save up has been received very well. Most of our staff make sure they use up their allotment by the end of the month. I like that it's easy to reward individuals and teams and let everyone know what I see them or their peers doing really well.

Cons: We didn't like the leaderboard very much as our team works so closely together that it felt counter-productive to introduce this competitive aspect. It made the people at the bottom feel bad and the people at the top felt kind of embarrassed/like they didn't deserve the extra recognition more than many others. We asked the team to remove it and they asked us if we were sure - and then made the changes for us, which everyone appreciated. Not importantly at all, the emoticons are difficult to add using a laptop.

Overall: Using Bonusly has boosted morale for our staff members who feel highlighted and recognized in a prompt and positive way every time the leadership or colleagues list a specific shout-out and tie it to a financial reward. It's been a very fun and positive activity for our staff to participate in - some staff use Bonusly throughout the month, but most make sure they give out rewards before their balance runs out at the end of the month. It's both fun to send the shout-outs and, of course, to receive them. Sometimes our work environment gets exhausting and this is a great way to infuse new energy.

Pros: It's fun, engaging and keeps the team self-esteem way up high....that's a good thing right? We love how it notifies us when there's some sort of anniversary, people feel really appreciated.

It also creates an awareness of how many things are being done in the company, people who go the extra mile gets recognized.

Cons: I wish it could integrate the GIF option better with the Slack app. Other than that we loved it. Some people complained about "why should we give bonuses when all we are doing is what we got hired for" - but after a year of using it we noticed how there has been an attitude shift, it just makes a friendlier atmosphere.

Overall: Keep the team motivated

Pros: - You can choose how to spend your points throughout the month, who to give them to and the amount.

- The US catalog of rewards is great, there are plenty of things for you to spend your points on, Gift cards from a multitude of places, cash out on Paypal or even donate to your charity of choice.

- It has very nice integrations with software that we use at the company and the UI is very intuitive.

- It's really great for company games and competitions.

I recommend using Bonusly 100% as a way to reward employees for hard work and rocking it!

Cons: - The international catalogs don't offer many choices.

There aren't any other cons that I have experienced, I like this product in general very much.

Pros: We wanted a way for employees to recognize the great work that their peers are doing without management always having to be involved. By giving everyone some 'money' to do that, it helps make sure that people feel appreciated and that they have a way to say thank you.

Cons: There are a few of the new features that I think should be included in the base software - especially for those of us who signed up early when there wasn't 2 tiers of product. I'm also really unhappy with the fact that they add rewards whenever they feel like and automatically turn them on instead of letting me control that. There are some causes like Planned Parenthood which can be controversial and I would like the opportunity to review rewards before they are published into our catalog.

Pros: Very easy to use, navigate and get to grips with. Brand new users instantly understand it and see the benefits of being an active user on the system. As an administrator, I see minimal user queries. Great customer service! Really quick and informative 'chat' feedback.

Cons: On the admin side, the report building is not the most intuitive and sometimes take several attempts to get the correct data exported.

Overall: Useful to see how colleagues (often in other unrelated departments) are working together. It brings people together.

Pros: I love how easy it is to recognize and thank my team members using Bonusly. We use it to acknowledge when other team members do something good that fits our core values. It's been a great way to celebrate our successes, and it definitely has improved morale across my team. I also appreciate how frequently Bonusly adds new gift card options!

Cons: No cons to Bonusly - this software is great!

Overall: Overall Bonusly is great. It's easy to use and a fun morale-booster for the team! They add new retailers all the time, as well as charities you can donate to, and it also lets managers add custom bonuses.

Pros: It seems to work. People enjoy giving and receiving little micro-bonuses and even seeing other people get them. So that promotes some transparency on what everybody is doing and a general feeling of togetherness.

Cons: It does sideline a certain population who just don't enjoy being in the spotlight. These folks enjoy private exchanges. If there was a way to fine tune announcements for introverts that would address this problem. Not everybody wants to share everything.

Overall: People like it.

Pros: Bonus.ly offers us the ability to integrate into multiple platforms so we do not have just one way to present bonuses to one another. Plus the hash tags and gifs take micro-bonuses to the next level! Not only are you encouraging someone where everyone sees it, but you get to influence the culture

Cons: If I have to come up with something, it would be the integrations with Bonus.ly do not have all of the feature rich attributes that Bonus.ly has on their website portal.

Overall: Verbal encouragement is a strong motivator to make me want to do things for people. It also develops relationships.

Pros: Bonusly is a great platform to boost employee morale through recognition that goes beyond verbal thanks and a pat in the back. Their platform allows you to easily set up, add team members and give points for the accomplishment you like to give recognition for. The website is highly customizable with your companies brand colors and logo and even synch with our HR platform to add new hires directly to the list of users.

Cons: Their analytics and metrics reporting lacks some deeper intelligence. We can leverage more data through periods longer than 120 days and how each person's interaction with the platform is employed.

Overall: Excellent platform nonetheless, better to say thank you with Bonusly points than to figure out recognition that doesn't stick.

Pros: In a business context, it is difficult to use actions to thank a colleague who has gone out of their way to help you. Gifts are inappropriate at work. However, bonusly points are sanctioned by your employer and visible by all, so one can thank another publicly and in an acceptable manner.

Cons: Sometimes, we get superstars who receive a lot of bonusly points, they deserve them but it makes other, less visible people look bad. For example, the office secretary may be the most valuable person but the IT technician gets all the bonusly points because they get our computers working and that feels more personal.

Points may also be used too much as non-pecuniary benefits to make up for low salaries.

So be warned, acknowledge everyone, not too much and thanks are good but decent salaries are better.

Overall: I love it

Pros: - Love how fun Bonusly has made it with allowing gifs, emojis and hashtags

- Easy to use and integrates with Slack beautifully

Cons: The admin page could use a bit of work, like being able to search for users instead of having to scroll through the entire company to find the person you're looking for.

Pros: I like that it integrates with Slack for ease of use, though some people find it hard to use the Slack function (for those who get it, it's awesome). I like how you can set hashtags for your core values and use it as a gauge for who best embodies our core values.

Cons: Can't really think of anything I don't like. I suppose it would be nice if we could approve Bonusly cash-ins because sometimes people do them all at once and as a small business this can mean occasional cash-flow challenges. I do like how when people cashed out their points to give to charity that Bonusly put in a heads-up feature so that we could prep for the temporary hike in cash going out of our account.

Overall: Team cohesion tool. Helps us identify top performers as rated by their peers in real time. Also shows us a lot about the people who work for us e.g. leadership skills within teams -- those who elevate and recognize others while thinking strategically. People think the product is fun and they like to cash out their Bonuslys for cards. The fact they could give to charity was very uplifting to the team and they enjoyed pooling their points for maximum impact: that is one of the best features so don't ever lose it. Nothing brings a team together like striving for an outside cause.

Pros: I think that this program is a great and easy way to provide praise to coworkers. We have our Bonusly connected with Slack which allows for an instant notification that everyone is able to see. We have fun with this software and it boosts company morale. The ability to choose from a number of gift cards through building up points is a great perk as well.

Cons: This is one of my favorite softwares that we use at my company. I really think it works perfectly for what we need and I do not have any complaints!

Overall: Personally, I think that Bonusly keeps positivity moving throughout our office space. When I am dealing with something stressful at work or go the extra mile to do something it means a lot to me to be provided with instant praise through a platform like this.

Pros: Easy to use and perfect to acknowledge activities someone of your team or organization has done. Hashtags and gifs are cool to make it less formal.

Cons: Teams consist of more people than those that are officially within your organization. This way, I've run into the situation several times, that I couldn't acknowledge all of those, that worked hard for sth, but only those, that are listed in bonusly / are within the organization. The last team was consisting of people from two different companies, but you couldn't notice this within the team. Thus, it was even harder to only give bonusly of those people from the "right" company. I would suggest a feature, to allow providing bonusly to people outside of the company.

Additionally, depending on how frequently you redeem bonusly, you need to pay more or less taxes, at least in Germany. It would be helpful to have a hint from the tool, explaining you how much you could redeem without paying taxes. This way, you could only redeem this and wait for the next month and redeem then again.

Pros: I like giving out the bonusly because, everyone is much happier to help you with the daily tasks no matter how busy they are.

Cons: If you are too busy and you aren't able to get any bonusly.

Overall: Bonusly helps you appreciate your collegues and I am able to help the clients by getting the shipments done faster and more efficiently. Collegues are more than happy to help

Pros: Our employees love it. We are a busy practice and it isn't always possible to always keep track of what is going on. By reading the Bonusly posts, we can all learn about and acknowledge all the great things our employees are doing.

Cons: I find some of the admin features difficult to figure out. For example, I wanted to give one of my doctors some extra points to give out but struggled to figure out how to do this on my own and had to call tech support to figure it out.

Pros: the analytics, and integration with Slack.

I also like bonsuly pro. ( working on getting the upgrade approved )

Cons: the catalogue choices for Canada could be improved. But the recent additions are great!

Sephora gift card would be great! I know the ladies on my team would really enjoy it.

Pros: This software you call Bonusly is easy to use and provides a real positive feedback loop for people I work next to every day, I like the chart showing who is receiving the most money and bonuses. This can help motivate people to do better. The feed back helps people feel appreciated. SOme people I don't see everyday I don't have the opportunity to thank in person. SO using the internet is a way to take care of them from a distance.

Cons: I find the interface a little clunky sometimes. The drop down menus need an arrow or some other visual que to remind me they are there. I forget what to do if I haven't used it in a while. Also the home page should have a blank space with "who derserves to be appreciated today?" text to click on as a start point to give bonusly money.

Overall: social appreciation has many benefits. The basis of Twitter, facebook and youtube are all the "likes". People want to be liked and this helps them know.

Pros: Very easy and intuitive to use, and fully within your control as an administrator. Through this public sharing of knowledge in an informal way, ieally helps brings colleagues, teams, departments - and ultimately the company - together.

Pros: There are a wide range of rewards that can be earned, including "cash" (transfer balance to Paypal or Amazon account), gift certificates, charitable contributions, and custom company swag. That's fantastic. BUT, what I think this program has done best for us is that it's helped build a culture around saying "thank you" and acknowledging coworkers (360 degrees!) for the ways they make our lives better.

The monthly points expiration, which irked me at first, actually works as a reminder that positive acknowledgement should be part of your planned work, not something you only do rarely.

The ability to pair Giphy or fun images with bonuses keeps the interactions fun, silly, personal, and engaging - exactly the way it should be.

Integration with Slack means that praise is public (within our company), which prompts others to think about what they are also thankful for.

Cons: There's really not much I don't like about it, honestly. It's easy to use and straightforward in its interface.

Pros: I love the ability to mark bonuses with core values. this creates a constant overview of what our core values are and reinforces them.

Cons: When this software only charged when people redeemed a gift, that made sense. The cost has become a barrier, and we discuss every month whether we should get rid of it, and replace it with some manual system

Overall: reinforce core values, and have team encourage each other.

Pros: I love the gif features. My company loves sending silly Bonusly gifs to each other. It's crazy how something so small can improve the wok day.

Cons: I don't like that I can't reply to a Bonusly someone has sent me to give them points. Instead I have to send a whole new thread. We should be able to tag and give points on any thread!

Overall: Bonusly is an outlet that our company uses to boost morale. We are able to encourage our team members when they are having a bad day or celebrate them for successes/events. We use it every day and absolutely love it!

Pros: I like that I can give people a little extra something for the work they do. Even if the conversion rate is not a lot, it is nice to publicly show appreciation for people in a different way than a simple "thank you".

Cons: Sometimes it seems like the points received by people come down to a popularity contest and some people can feel excluded at times. Unfortunately, there isn't an easy way to remedy this, and honestly, that's just what happens in real life.

Overall: It is extremely easy to give people points. I love the Slack integration and use it liberally. I'm glad I don't have to go a website to give points, even though giving points on the website is very simple and has more features (such as gif responses) that the Slack integration doesn't support.

Pros: Bonusly has been a fun addition to the team encouraging acknowledgement of peoples efforts.

That and we also use it to make silly bets with each other which just increases the fun of being here.

Cons: I used to be able to see a topology of company interactions, a map of who gave who bonulsy points giving an idea of how the organisation was working together. This was recently removed so this is still a product in development so don't get too attached to anyone one feature as it may just disappear.

Pros: How it allows people to reward each other for their good work or their demonstrations of our values as a company. I particularly love the ability to post giphys as well :D

Cons: When on desktop, I don't like to get the emojis screen prompting whenever I type ":" it's a bit slow. I'd probably just add an emoji library to pick from without it prompting, just as if you were typing from your phone.

Pros: It's very easy to use and our employees are very enthusiastic about the platform. We've never had any issues.

Cons: Very few that I can think of. My only request is that it would be nice to be able to include photos and videos in the responses

Pros: Employees love it - we have a 95%+ usage rate among our employees, and everyone seems to love the sense of community it helps foster. We love Bonusly so much that we publish the stats in our blog, and we have a monthly contest to see who can get the most points, which then gives them the ability to donate to the charity of their choice.

Cons: Integration with Slack could use some work - the usernames in Slack don't match Bonusly names which can be confusing.

Overall: Employee happiness!

Pros: It's a great way to recognize employees who go above and beyond- Employees then get to use the earned bonus' to shop at their favorite retailer- It really encourages employees to help each other, and even if they aren't doing it to gain bonusly, they are developing habits of being helpful in the workplace.

Cons: It would be awesome if we were able to do the donation bonus' in increments

Cons: I really haven't found any flaws using the software. Since we started using it, it's bee a pleasure to use and a good incentive to recruit new colleagues

Overall: Easy micro-bonuses to give to colleagues to show appreciation. Easy statistics regarding the flow of bonuses between team members.

Pros: I like that I can easily reward my team members for their hard work and collaboration, and I can do it using text, gifs, emojis, and give them tangible feedback that they can exchange for something they like! Cons: There's really nothing to dislike about Bonusly, although sometimes I wish there were more reward options (although, there are already a ton), but wouldn't it be great to exchange points for Southwest gift cards ;) Really no complaints and I'm sure they'll come out with more reward options in the future.

Overall: Overall, Bonusly is a great platform for providing and receiving feedback. I love how well it integrates with our existing systems and how easy it is to use and exchange points for gift cards. Wouldn't have it any other way or use any other reward-based system!

Pros: I like the ease of use, the positive vibe it gives to our team, and how it helps us to really focus on the good that our team accomplishes.

Cons: As part of a really small business team, the likelihood of not being able to afford this software once it's necessary to pay for it, it's a shame that for small teams there isn't an option to continue on a free basis.

I really don't like how you can't easily comment back in the actual platform itself. It seems to think that you're trying to get points for yourself....strange.

Overall: It really helps us to focus on the positives within our team and where we're excelling. Great driving force behind building one another up.

Pros: Very easy to use and enables peer to peer recognition in a public and simple way. It is a massive hit with our team and fast become a critical part of our approach to recognition across the company.

Cons: There's nothing I don't like about Bonusly - the team are always very responsive to questions or requests and we have no intentions to ever replace it :)

Pros: It's easy to control posts as an Admin, and to request that staff include certain words, hashtags or values into their posts. User Admin is very easy with a few options :)

Cons: I would like to see more filters for Admin reports: filter 'common words' by a date range so I can go back to my staff over a period, same thing for bonuses given and received, rather than just 'past 90 days'.

Overall: Peer engagement across Canada and the USA - a great way for employees to give CHEER to their PEERS wherever they happen to be working that day. Staff receive the reward of their choice, rather than selected for them by management, which they find super valuable.

Pros: Set it and forget it. The custom rewards are fun. The gifs are cool. I am excited to see what new features come out.

Cons: Ability to pay out internationally. I would like to have our partners from Europe participate. We currently employ workarounds.

Pros: - dead simple to set up and use

Cons: I can't say I have anything to complain about. Our employees love it and I've never had any problems.

Overall: This provided an easy way to create/support our internal culture of recognizing individual contributions and rewarding each other. By setting up our own "currency", we are able to have a custom experience where our team members give each other what amounts to high-fives except they have the added benefit of being worth some amount. Every couple months almost everyone earns a gift card and they receive something tangible for being a good human in our organization.

It's fun and inexpensive... you should try it with your employees.

Pros: It's easy and fun to use. We made our unicode "bananas" so everyone loves giving them to coworkers who do something outstanding. The rewards catalog is amazing and gives us control on what to give to staff. It's pretty great!

Cons: Bonusly tacks for additional features that I think could be wrapped into the monthly fee. I wish they integrated better with HRIS systems as well. We use Zenefits and it doesn't quite work the way we'd like it to, but they tried to fix it for us.

Overall: Improved company morale!

Pros: It creates such a sense of teamwork within the office, and it also has endless rewards!

Cons: The system can be gamed by employees grouping together to give one another points.

Overall: Really genuinely love this software; it's great for morale!

Pros: The customer service is outstanding! They get back to me immediately and they are always so pleasant.

Cons: I wish there were more gifs. Not many come up. I also wish the administrator was able to pull messages that they feel the team has put on their inappropriately.

Overall: Our team is split up all over the state and this helps them keep in communication with each other in a fun way.

Pros: I love the integration with slack. It's very easy to reward someone within our internal communication platform.

Cons: I really think of anything. There are plenty of reward options, it's very easy to use, and I like that we wait to pay out until after someone cashes in coins versus at the beginning of the month when they are allotted.

Pros: Transparent internal reward system. Very easy to use and a great motivator for our employees. With Bonusly, no one can be criticized about favoritism for bonuses because it is completely peer-to-peer. Also their Zapier Integration with the Bubble machine is hilariously fun.

Cons: I wish there was some sort of fraud detection algorithm included to be able to detect when employees are not using it as a peer-to-peer system, but instead as pure quid pro quo. That's not the intention of the system and at the moment Bonusly doesnt have any safeguards for that.
