Nitro (Nitro Pro version) works fantastically and does not conflict with other programs we run.

Pros: Simple to use, reading, writing, and viewing PDFs couldn't be easier. Nitro also plays nice with the other mission critical software we run, which is why we prefer it over other PDF programs.

Cons: Occasional program instability when trying to open multiple PDF's, or one really large document. It is rare, but requires closing the program down completely.

Good software for small business.

Pros: The white out tool comes in handy to remove pricing from a sales order to make a packing slip from it. Ease of use and features on software.

Cons: Sometimes the export to Excel and Word do not format correctly. also, some features are hard to find.

Overall: Speeds up my process of getting shipping docs and correcting minor errors in PDFs.

An excellent, versatile alternative to Adobe Acrobat, minus the expense.

Pros: I have been using Adobe Acrobat Standard in its various editions (currently XI) for many years and have been very satisfied with it, but now that they have moved to cloud mode, they have discontinued support for their current non-cloud version forcing me to find an alternative to this complicated and relative featureless version of Adobe. Fortunately, Nitro PDF Pro has filled the gap easily and with MUCH less expense. It has a multitude of easy to use features, in fact easily surpassing Adobe, and manages a variety of documents with ease.

Cons: The learning curve for me was a little steep, but I am so used to Adobe that I think that was really the only problem. I have only been using it for about six weeks, and have already become quite comfortable with it, and have experienced no problems that I could not resolve. I had one little issue that I contacted tech support about, and they answered me within hours, completely resolving my problem.

Overall: All the features of Adobe Standard Edition, with a multitude of extra features, and none of the high cost subscription fees.

I use this program daily to edit PDF's to use as packing slips, and to print files direct to PDF

Nitro PDF is a good alternative to Adobe.

Pros: The ability to create transparent stamps over documents and to edit pdf documents, as well as convert various document types.

Cons: The software upgrade is expensive, almost the same price of a new program. The software crashes lately and I have to restart the program several times before it actually works

Pros: Great user interface. The features you needed to edit and compile PDF files were easy to find and didn't take too much clicking in side panels/menus. When my old company switched from Nitro to Adobe, we were pretty disappointed. It just didn't seem as seamless as Nitro!

Cons: They've probably fixed this by now but before we switched, editing actual text directly on the PDF could get glitchy (text would run together, spacing was altered, adding or removing space ruined the formatting, etc...)

Use Nitro at work mostly for converting documents to word and changing forms before signature

Pros: The ability to scan in documents and make changes as requested by our CEO, COO and CFO and return to them for review and signature

Cons: When I convert some documents (usually resumes) to word, it has trouble with some characters and also tends to add or delete spaces which means I have to go through the converted document and remove or add spaces as necessary.

Overall: ease of converting and updating scanned documents for Catholic Charities Executives

Better than Adobe Acrobat.

Pros: The conversion to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other formats are excellent. This is by far the most useful aspect

Cons: Not as user friendly as Adobe Acrobat. Often not compatible with pdf's received from others, but usually OK.

Overall: Converting pdf's to other formats is the best!
