### "Blender opens doors to beginners and keep supporting advanced users"

May 25, 2021

5.0

Pros

Blender offers a complete toolset for 3d modeling, rendering and animation. Even if some people do prefer other 3D programs for personal reasons, Blender offers a competitive engine for free. That's a huge encouragement to new students on 3d modeling and animation. The more I do with it, the more surprised I am that it has no cost.

Cons

I use it to render and model furniture objects and scenes. According to my usage, I feel it still lacks assets to use in rendering scene compositions. It could have pre-configured materials as default inside shading options to help newer students on 3D rendering, maybe some tutorial on learning the node system. Also, the snapping vertices system doesn't work as smoothly as SketchUp or other 3d software when it comes to building architectural visualization.

### "Blender per tutti"

February 16, 2023

5.0

### "Blender is the true life saver for those who want to become an animator"

July 23, 2020

5.0

at first i was actually unable to work on blender because of the interface of blender, it was hard for me to understand then i learned with some study materials and the journey is amazing with blender and the best thing about blender is you can create a complete short film on the single blender which is free and if you compare blender with it's alternatives, they are expensive but blender is better and still a best choice if you know how to perform animation.

Pros

the benefits of using blender is it is free so you don't have to spend a large portion of your income during your learning period or even for commercially. being free doesn't mean it is bad. even blender is having lots of features and stand out as industry level software. you can make 2d animation, 3d modeling, 3d animation, sculpting and many more features even you can do vfx in blender. it not that bulky and portal so you can carry the installed files with you.

Cons

The only problem which i have faced while using blender it is hard to understand the interface without a proper course or tutorials. rest everything is perfect.

### "A nice software to render videos"

May 22, 2022

4.0

It is a successful software to make geometric forms alive

Pros

In my company, teammates and I use Blender to unify the construction projects and create a video interface that is used to promote the business directly to clients and in showroom presentations. We also love Blender because we can make valuable discussions on ongoing projects with our architecture team.

Cons

It lacks integration with the most used construction platform. If this were the case all my department could save a precious time

### "Talk 3D, Talk Blender (Best 3D Software)"

December 11, 2022

5.0

aside video editng, blender software has really helped me improve in my sculpting skills, as a 3D artist.

Pros

the blender software has a cental hub for tutorials that could really come in handy, and among all other 3D softwares blender seems to be the most diverse when it comes to 3D features.

Cons

For a smooth and comfortable use of blender software, user needs to make useof really high end, updated devices, and now not every one with the skills and low end devices can afford these high end devices, if some thing could be done, like providing a compactible version for low end devices, that will be great.

### "Free, Supported and So Many Tutorials!"

December 18, 2018

4.0

Blender made my life so much easier in using the package to create detailed 3D renderings and motion graphics for my company. I was able to do exactly what I had envisioned without having to pay for a design package that had all the features known to man, but then only using such a small part of it.

Pros

The absolute best part of Blender is that it is 100 % free, and that it is so well supported throughout the 3D Community. It has always been so easy to find tutorials for specific things that I am trying to do. I like the fact that it is open source, which really means that the community has a say in how the software is developed and the features that are added. In addition to this, the massive library of add-ons makes Blender a powerful package that competes with the best paid packages.

Cons

Blender, when first getting to know it, is a really complicated interface to figure out for someone not from a graphical design and rendering background. It is difficult to teach yourself the software without going through quite a few online tutorials to figure the workflow out.

### "Un prodotto gratuito ma assolutamente completo"

October 19, 2023

5.0

### "Even someone as bad as I am was able to make a decent-looking character."

February 19, 2018

4.0

Pros

I had no experience in any sort of modeling or animation, but Blender felt welcoming from the get-go. I have now familiarized myself with it, and have gotten pretty good, so I'd say that is a testament to how good the program is. Also, it's free to try out, so why not give it a go if you're wondering if it's worth it?

Cons

Most of the cons I could pick at should be taken in reference to the free nature of Blender. As I've grown my knowledge of design, I've noticed a lot of UI issues and functionality. For example, a program like Maya has so many integrated parts to work on each little feature, that the Jack-of-all-trades Blender doesn't measure up to.

### "Amateur Hobbyist Using In Ways I Never Imagined"

May 10, 2022

5.0

I LOVE Blender. Highly recommend it. Not only is it free, but it's all extremely well supported by the community and constantly evolving/improving. You need to understand that this is a professional development tool, with VERY advanced features and it requires a brilliant mind to master it (I have not mastered it). I highly recommend that you take a course or two to get an understanding the workflows. Learning the key bindings is CRITICAL and you need a high quality mouse (in my opinion) to properly use Blender. Once you get your groove down, you can model and do some very cool/advanced stuff. I've even gone as far as using this for my 3d printer and models for Unity development. I use it for projects at home, projects at work, etc. - fantastic job Blender community/team.

Pros

Blender is only limited by your imagination and skill and attention to details.

Cons

The learning curve to use Blender effectively is STEEP! There's no way around this -- you are controlling for shapes, 2D/3D relationships (4D if you do anything with animation), materials, lighting, physics ... it's endless. You can't just open the software and build your imagination, you actually have to invest in learning it.

### "The only and only best open source software for 3d purpose"

September 21, 2020

5.0

Super cool and awesome. I would strongly recommend this to everyone and even if you are using any other proprietary software then still give blender a chant. It deserves it !!!

Pros

1.) It is open source (the best thing which I love about it) 2.) It is free hence entry barrier is negligible for newbies 3.) It is increasingly becoming powerful with every new update:- the recent one was a boon to 2d part 4.) Performance is getting better with every new update 5.) It is gaining attention of big parties like top game and movies studios 6.) It is heavily supported by its users 7.) Future is super super bright and difference between blender and other rivals is reducing with every new update God bless blender

Cons

If I would had written this review few months back, in the con section I would had ranted about its drawback for the 2d part. But now that issue is also solved. And even much better my other issues were also solved with the new update It would be better if keyboard shortcuts and UI was given a touch ( it would make whole process much better)

### "Blender - The Ultimate Graphical Editor "

April 28, 2023

5.0

Pros

I mostly use Blender cause it is a very powerful 3D modeling and sculpting software that can be used to create a wide range of 3D characters and objects. I mainly use Blender's sculpting tools, where I can easily shape and refine your characters, adding fine details and textures until you're satisfied with the final result. One of the fine example in Sculpting using Blender is to create an Animated charcters. which I love to create animated charecters using Blender.

Cons

Blender's interface can be challenging to grasp for new users, but with familiarity and practice, it can become much easier. One effective way to improve your efficiency in Blender is by learning and using shortcut keys. By starting with simpler projects, customizing the interface to your liking, and regularly practicing, you can gradually become proficient in using Blender's interface and tools.

### "Fantastic tool, however hard to learn!"

May 31, 2022

5.0

Overall, it is a fantastic tool in the right hands- for any 3d designer or video editor Blender is like the Christmas present you always wanted! When you first start is is incredibly overwhelming, however if you stick with it and persevere then blender will be one of your best friends in the development world.

Pros

I think Blender is a fantastic tool to start your journey into 3D development, whether it be games or simulations - blender is just an overall amazing tool and you can literally do anything with it if you put your mind to it. It integrates well with a broad range of open source software- such as unreal engine, overall it has a great community and it is well supported and constantly evolving and improving.

Cons

The learning curve to efficiently use Blender is incredibly steep and there is no short way around learning the documentation and just testing out new ways to get things done. If you are looking for a tool that's easy and does everything for you without any effort then I'm afraid Blender is not for you!

### "The most robust piece of software for pretty much anything"

December 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

Blender can make your dreams come true. I find I use it for pretty much everything nowadays. It's 3D application is obvious and I use it for that often, but it also has so many other features that I can't stop using. I love the compositor which I use to edit film & images. It can even be used to draw and export vector artwork.

Cons

It does have quite a learning curve, it takes longer than most programs to get used to the unique interface that Blender uses (and invented). However, the complicated, and unique nature of the interface is required for the ease of use of the vast feature set that Blender has.

### "The best free and open-source 3D Creation software"

December 26, 2020

5.0

I have a very professional experience with Blender, because I use this software for my video editing and motion tracking as well sometimes, I also create 3d stuff using blender. I have also designed some animated ads for my clients using the Blender. I really like the timeline when I edit and compose my video stuff. Because everything is easy to do in Blender. I really like the Blender.

Pros

Blender is a unique incredible software that allows you do animation, video editing, 3d creation, scripting, modeling, sculpting and a lot of other things. The best part of this software is that it is free and open-source. Just download, install and start using this amazing software. The interface of this software is really easy to use, so you can easily understand all tools, features and options of blender. You can also find real-time viewport preview. You can easily render your work in different formats according to your requirements.

Cons

You will never find a free software that offers a lot of stuff to do. But no doubt, that blender is offering you a lot of incredible features for your individual personal and business purposes. So according to my experience, Blender is awesome without any cons.

### "Cornerstone in my studio"

May 31, 2019

5.0

Change my work, right now as my main proffesional tool and its been 4 years since I made that decision. Best decision for my studio by the way. .If I was starting out again, I would not waste time and money, Blender is the future, supported by a great community and ready to generate photorealistic works

Pros

Blender is my preffered choice to do 3d modelling and rendering, it has evolved a lot over the years, becoming one of the best options, regardless of the fact that is free. You can always use add ons to expand it, and generally they are very cheap compared to propietary plug ins alternatives.

Cons

Learning curve can be steep, but there are wonderful tutorials on youtube!

### "Blender is a mature and robust free 3D Program"

September 28, 2021

5.0

Blender is a very, very capable program. You can do nearly anything you can imagine, and since it's free, it's a "go-to" for many aspiring 3d artists until they have the cashflow to purchase one of the 3 or 4 mainstream 3d programs. It's a valuable tool in my kit, but it can't be the only one because of lot of studios and pros don't use it, so exchanging files with them makes it less than attractive. But as a tool that does amazing things that can then be incorporated into my main software, I'm glad I have access to it. But, if you work on your own, have limited budget, don't share files and have time to wrap your head around their unique workflow, Blender will not disappoint you.

Pros

I've used Blender to translate different file formats for use in other programs. I've also used some of it's unique functionality that other 3d programs don't offer or don't integrate as well. Some of their UV and Match Moving tools are as good as anyone's.

Cons

It's not intuitive if you come from another mainstream 3d software. Most of the "vocabulary" is the same, but the manner in which many tasks are accomplished is very non-intuitive. It takes a good bit of effort to get up to speed in Blender if you already know how 3d software works because they just approach task workflows differently.

### "An immensely capable program with a learning curve"

August 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

I have used Blender to edit and create basic 3d models for 3d printing and have had a great experience using it. It is easy to use and anything I don't know how to do is easy to learn with a simple search. Blender is incredibly powerful and can be used for many different projects, such as polygon editing, 3d sculpting, rigging, 3d animation, video VFX, and even an integrated game engine. Because of how popular Blender is, there is an incredible amount of helpful users, tutorials, and plugins that will make learning blender even easier.

Cons

The learning curve of blender can be daunting for some, especially with how many different functions the program has compared to more specialized offerings. Other offerings, both free and commercial, have more specialized tools that expedite certain workflows. while Due to being open-source, there is no direct traditional support system you would get from a commercially supported and developed program. Other programs like Maya and 3ds Max also see more professional use, making learning Blender less practical if you are in the industry.

### "Blender is one of the best!"

November 23, 2018

5.0

I've dabbled in animation and game design since I was a kid. When I first learned of Blender, it was too limited compared to the alternatives for me to even bother with. I love how quickly it's completely changed it's standing in the 3D software community. Now, I use this for designing the occasional graphic for a website or animation for a promotional video. My most recent use was to model a replacement part for my dishwasher to be 3D printed! It turned out perfectly and saved me a great deal of money. I never even look at the competing software anymore. Blender is where it's at.

Pros

Blender gives independent or hobbyist animators the ability to achieve what huge studios pay thousands to pull off. It's evolved into a real competitor for some of the more commercial software out there. I've yet to find anything the other guys can do that Blender can't.

Cons

All 3D modelling software has a fairly steep learning curve and Blender is no different. The software really can be faulted for that though. It's the nature of 3D modelling/animation on a 2D surface. Can't really get around complexity there.

### "Blender"

August 6, 2019

5.0

Amazing experience. I love it and learn something new every time I open it up.

Pros

Its a disruptor in the industry. 3DS Max is expensive and can't do as many functions as Blender, especially now that they came out with real-time rendering viewports and their Eevee render engine. It's incredible this is free software.

Cons

It takes some time to get familiar with the commands, especially if you're coming from autodesk products. However, if you have an understanding of the functions, they're all in Blender and just need to be located.

### "Most feature filled free app I have ever seen"

November 23, 2018

5.0

Amazing. Blender was the first thing I ever create 3d models in -- it was the only thing I could use, since it was free I was broke! I have since moved onto more specialized softwares, like Zbrush and Mudbox... But Blender will always have a place on my hard drive.

Pros

If you want to make something, you can probably make it with Blender. 3d models, 2d scenes & characters, films, photos -- you name it, you can make it. Think Cinema4d or Autodesk and Adobe mashed into one, but free. If someone is starting out in the video game or film industry and asking about programs to try out. I always tell them to try Blender.

Cons

SO feature packed, it can be very hard to use. There are certain hotkeys that won't make sense, until you understand the constrictions that must be inherent within an app that is able to do so much. Animating 3d can be essentially time-consuming and frustrating top new users. A few classes or videos on this can remedy this situation -- I believe the creators of Blender provide these for users as well.
