I appreciate the ease of use, the great communication with many departments, and the customer support that is offered. It is also a great tool to keep up with driving logs. It is easy to pull reports involving specific vehicles that record stops and starts and duration driven. Pros I appreciate the customer support and ease of use. Questions are answered in a timely manner and their goal is customer satisfaction. The online dashboard is easy to use whether to send support tickets, update drivers information, or configure alerts and settings. Communication is also top priority, I appreciate the communication threads throughout troubleshooting issues is appreciated. Cons My only complaint is with equipment gateways. Equipment isn't always an easy plug and go like it is with the vehicles. Sometimes it is harder to get accurate information without troubleshooting to see what wire works best, or if hardwiring is the better option. Their vision of performance to the customer needs is nothing but perfect for what we are looking for. Pros Advanced AI technology. Better camera lenses with clear coverage. All pertinent safety measurements right on your computer screen with automated driver training. Cons updates are very frequent and you need time to catch up with them. You need to learn immediately what is new to keep abreast and then by the time you catch up there is something new out almost immediately. Manager Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Samsara does not stop calling " August 18, 2026 1.0 At first it was informative, now I feel like they did not like being told NO and they are still calling weekly after i have told them to stop calling numerous time. it feels like a petulant child who does not get their way. Pros I don't have anything good to say about this product, We have not used this product due to the cost per vehicle subscription rate. When it came to all of the options we found a product that exceeded our requirements and was thousands of dollars cheaper. I am sure they offer a good system i just can not say anything good or bad since we did not go with them. What i can say is when i told them we went with another company, I would get calls every other day if not daily asking me what company we went with. Even now after we have onboarded and i have told Samsara representatives numerous times we have already purchased another system, i still get calls weekly trying to sell me on their platform. After i thought about it, i am curious why they are trying soo hard to get us to sign on to their system, we are a very small family owned construction company with 2 dozen vehicle. I have asked them multiple times to quit calling since i signed a multi year agreement with another company yet i still get called that is borderline harassed weekly. Pros Absolutely breezy UI. So easy to look at and understand the information presented. It is practically turn key, you log in and immediately can grasp how to use the service. They update often to improve the value, add functions, or correct any bugs in the system. I love that I can communicate with my drivers safely through the internal messaging, and it has the option to read the message aloud to the drivers when delivered; which is great for time sensitive information. When I have had to reach out to Customer Service, they have answered the call promptly and resolved my questions every single time. Cons Sometime it is difficult to find some of the statistics that I need for my quarterly reports. It is only a minor inconvenience tho, and the AI chat tends to be able to guide me toward the solution. User friendly interface, multiple export options, and quick processing time. I'd recommend based on my somewhat focused use. Pros Easy functionality of the online platform, with ready ability to access and export needed reports on a regular basis and manipulate the parameters as needed. Very quick results, too. Cons I have not had any particularly negative experiences in using the platform thus far. There used to be a slight lag when first logging in to get to the Custom Reports I need, but that doesn't happen very frequently anymore, and it's once a very minor inconvenience when it does. Thanks for making Samsara my choice. Pros I have had tried multiple products such as Omnitracs, and Samsara. I am 100% Samsara now. It is very reliable and has an overall ease of use. The dashboard is easy to teach drivers, and they pick it up fast. The cameras and the playback video is much easier to see and use vs Netradyne that I have also used in the past. I have had recent help from customer support as well. Their patience and thoroughness is also much appreciated. I also love the having my Fleet Screen up all day to reference where everyone is. Cuts down on calling them constantly to track their eta. Great Product!! Cons The only thing I can think I like least is the expense of each user option attached to the Samsara products. I wish it was a little cheaper to entice me to use all of the applications offered. It adds up fast with a large fleet. He collects and provides the information he receives for the Samsara system. As our Fleet Manager we use the Fleetio system with the Samsara system. Pros I appreciate that the Samsara system works with our auto integrate system by Fleetio. The Samsara Tracking, AI Camera, and Driver Report Card are all great tools and features. Cons The tape or adhesive used for the windshield camera mounting comes detached at times from the heat. Mechanics often disconnect the Samsara brain from the OBD port. Drivers often do not plug it back into the port which causes delays in receiving vehicle information. Pros Samsara offers a very comprehensive vehicle safety management system combining reliable GPS tracking capabilities with AI-powered and assisted driver monitoring capabilities to help keep drivers safe in the moment and reduce accident risks. The equipment is durable, fast, and provides audio minders to drivers when they are demonstrating negative behaviors (ex: looking at their cell phones, speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, etc.). The dashboard for tracking vehicles across numerous states and geographical regions is very user-friendly. Recorded date from accidents or near-miss events can be easily obtained and is helpful for training and liability purposes. Lastly, the enhanced monitoring components help track vehicle health telematics like engine hours, battery effectiveness, and mileage. Samsara integrates well with our fuel card program and our Fleet Management system to help keep track of fuel economy and spend, and minders for preventative and periodic maintenance. Cons On occasion, we have had lapses in the availability of video data from key events, and this has made it harder to settle accident cases. Whether these lapses were caused by tech issues or internal errors is still not clear. The customer and tech support divisions are typically very responsive, but in some cases, they are slow to reply or initiate support efforts. I believe this is partly due to the timezone difference between Samsara and my company. I will say that whenever we have had an issue that we deemed serious enough to escalate to higher levels of support, they have been very responsive. Our company used a couple different over the years, this is hands down the best one. Pros The tracking on the Samsara website and the app are amazing! Being able to see where my driver is at any moment helps a lot. This helps me keep them on time for appointments, or let's me see I need to call their stops and push out delivery if they are behind. I love knowing. I also like the safety videos as well! Cons Not sure I like the new format, but I am getting used to it. Also, the app is not as fast as using the website. The AI facial recognition software tracks employees effortlessly between different vehicles, and the safety inbox and safety reporting features help me to review my fleet easily on a daily basis. As a Safety Manager I appreciate the easy to use reporting functions and have been able to build an entire driver safety bonus program by utilizing Samsara's driver scoring system so my drivers are directly rewarded for their safe behavior on the road. Pros Samsara provides an excellent value for the cost of the system, especially when installed throughout an entire fleet of vehicles. Customer Support from Samsara is top notch, with questions being answered quickly and effectively. The software provides ease of use for administrators, installers, and end users. Any bus or issues experienced have been taken care of almost immediately from Samsara's team of experts. Log management is easily accessed and easy to review. Tracking fuel mileage, idling times and hours on the road is a huge advantage, and the overall product is a great value for the money. The ease of use is a definite plus and the customer support has been excellent. This coaching technology is the only thing that is going to save the transportation industry. Each year, insurance rates continue to go up as does the number of lawsuits filed against carriers. Pros The AI Following Distance has made this system the ultimate Safety System. The Following Distance information that is captured along with Speeding, Harsh Brakes, Rolling Stops, and Lane Change Departures allows an organization to identify risk with their drivers. Thus, allowing drivers to be coached on safe driving habits. Cons Not having a paper log app option. The scoring system should use GPS speed to capture the vehicle speed for the scoring system. The Samsara speed is often incorrect.
