Pros I like that we can track the performance of our fleet drivers with respect to safety and efficiency. Cons I really don't feel there are any cons, however there are probably some drivers that do not like it feeling that "Big Brother" is watching. Pros Real time tracking, maintenance schedules, safety coaching and events. Cons The driver app seems to glitch quite often making it hard for the drivers to use sometimes. I can review videos of events and use the material for coaching and feed back to our drivers.it allows us to be proactive and really be able to keep up with safety trends our drivers . Cons We experience issues with our ELD's in the truck for our OTR drivers with when they are off duty or in service. Pros API Integration 3+ years ago was easy, marketplace made it easy for customers to implement. Cons Every year Samsara "breaks" the API because it doesn't beta test to determine how the updates will affect integration partners. As a result, we spend several weeks troubleshooting the problem, developing a solution and appeasing angry customers. Meetings are very detailed on how the system works and ease of use. Pros Quickness on delivery and assistance with set up. Enjoy the total cost for the system and how easy the set up took place. Cons Currently I do not have any least favorites with Samsara. I worry is the board may not vote to accept this new technology due to budget issues. Price wise Samsara is the most efficient. The ability to locate an asset quickly and have basic details about the asset available on the website or app is great! Pros Real time tracking that updates very quickly. The cameras are high definition, which has proven very helpful in a couple of unfortunate incidents. Installation of the devices is simple and direct with the app. Cons The only downside is the size/length of the OBD cable. It is understood that the attached receptacle is there to allow for attachment of an OBD device; however, the bulk of this and the USB cable for the camera requires some creativity when installing to prevent the driver from kicking them or pulling them loose. Pros Its accessibility to access it in any laptop/mobile device. Cons There has been time that I have wanted to abstract video from VG and I have been unable to do so. I had to call in Support and have them restart the VG to be able to abstract the video.
