March 13, 2026 5.0 Since one of our primary functions with our operation is to enforce parking, our fleet and our large number of Enforcement Officers are vital to a successful operation. In the past we have been able to follow their route through Opsman, however, we were not able to see them in the vehicle. We were not able to monitor their speed, or the vast array of possible safety issues while operating the vehicle. Samsara has been an incredible asset to us for ensuring safety of our fleet on the road, reducing incidents with our drivers, providing support following an incident, and providing an avenue through which we can affirm, encourage, and reward our Enforcement officers for above average performance! It has been extremely beneficial and positive. Pros Samsara has had a tremendous impact on our enforcement operation. When we first began using it, we had so many Safety Captures every day. Being able to see this, to share screenshots, download video captures, present these items to our drivers, has had a huge impact in a positive manner. Many of our drivers have now had 6 months or more of driving with no issues or with a 100 score. We present them with certificates and this has greatly increased morale and pride in their work. Samsara is very easy to use and navigate and provides incredible benefits to our enforcement operation such as tracking where our officers are at any given time, providing video footage when presenting evaluations or disciplinary action, etc. When there is any issue I just send out an email and get a reply from Samsara very quickly. They are quick to act when a problem needs resolution but there honestly have been very few issues. Samsara is a great value to our operation and worth the money invested. Cons The only issue I have observed with our Samsara program is that it is sometimes too sensitive. For example, it was capturing drivers for 'Possible drowsiness" where they weren't even yawning or closing their eyes. It is very helpful that you are able to adjust sensitivities with this software. This was due to its ease of use, and the cost of equipment and service make Samsara a no-brainer. Cons My rep that I have now is great but in the past, I would be left wondering who I had. It would change and notice wasn't given. Pros What I like most about Samara is the ease of use. From installation to implementation it is all very user and driver friendly. The dash cameras are great, the event detection is very accurate and were able to use this to coach our drivers real time. Their customer support is also great, every ticket I have created has been resolved in a matter of a day. We truly see the value for money with the cameras alone it has saved us from proving we were not at fault for several accidents. Cons There is not much not to like. I would say some drivers have complained about the voice alerts being too sensitive. They sometimes get an in cab voice alert but the event/ video never shows up in the safety inbox. I've had to handpick which alerts to roll out to not overstimulate the drivers. The video quality is great and being able to report back to a customer in a matter of minutes instead of the next day is great. Pros Samsara offers a very comprehensive vehicle safety management system combining reliable GPS tracking capabilities with AI-powered and assisted driver monitoring capabilities to help keep drivers safe in the moment and reduce accident risks. The equipment is durable, fast, and provides audio minders to drivers when they are demonstrating negative behaviors (ex: looking at their cell phones, speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, etc.). The dashboard for tracking vehicles across numerous states and geographical regions is very user-friendly. Recorded date from accidents or near-miss events can be easily obtained and is helpful for training and liability purposes. Lastly, the enhanced monitoring components help track vehicle health telematics like engine hours, battery effectiveness, and mileage. Samsara integrates well with our fuel card program and our Fleet Management system to help keep track of fuel economy and spend, and minders for preventative and periodic maintenance. Cons On occasion, we have had lapses in the availability of video data from key events, and this has made it harder to settle accident cases. Whether these lapses were caused by tech issues or internal errors is still not clear. The customer and tech support divisions are typically very responsive, but in some cases, they are slow to reply or initiate support efforts. I believe this is partly due to the timezone difference between Samsara and my company. I will say that whenever we have had an issue that we deemed serious enough to escalate to higher levels of support, they have been very responsive. I experienced for first FLEET wide outage on a Friday (of course) last year and the quickness of a resolution was impressive. The fact that once it was back up, it back-filled our drivers logs was impressive and sure saved companies a ton of time and extra work to ensure drivers logs were legal and correct. Pros I think that Samsara is a GREAT product for our truck drivers. I think that it is easy to use for their loads and paperwork. What I like most for the drivers is that every thing is done in the app. Drivers don't have to scan their paperwork through a separate device. The load information, messages from their dispatcher, paperwork.....everything is in one app. Cons It seems that every time an update comes out, the update causes issues with other things inside the app, so then what it feels like is that the update isn't tested thoroughly to see if it is going to cause issues for other things in the app. I HATE the new speed graph. It is NOT user friendly from a trucking stand point at all. The way the speed graph was before was fantastic and VERY easy and quick to use and see speeds at certain times. TICKET turn around time is a HUGE issue for me. When I open a ticket, I am in need of a QUICK resolution b/c the majority of the time, the issues is affecting my drivers logs and they can't drive until it's corrected or fixed. It gives me so much visibility into my fleet operations and allows me to address unsafe driving behavior with drivers immediately. It has also made it much easier to keep my fleet compliant and organized. Pros What I like most about Samsara is the amount of detailed information it provides about my fleet in real time. The weather map is extremely helpful, and I really like being able to see the speed limit signs along a driver’s route when a speeding event occurs. The system also makes it easy to quickly identify who is out of compliance at a glance, and the location tracking has been very accurate. Cons What I like least is that the app has recently started automatically signing users out several times a day, which can be frustrating and interrupt workflow. The AI facial recognition software tracks employees effortlessly between different vehicles, and the safety inbox and safety reporting features help me to review my fleet easily on a daily basis. As a Safety Manager I appreciate the easy to use reporting functions and have been able to build an entire driver safety bonus program by utilizing Samsara's driver scoring system so my drivers are directly rewarded for their safe behavior on the road. Pros Samsara provides an excellent value for the cost of the system, especially when installed throughout an entire fleet of vehicles. Customer Support from Samsara is top notch, with questions being answered quickly and effectively. The software provides ease of use for administrators, installers, and end users. Any bus or issues experienced have been taken care of almost immediately from Samsara's team of experts. Log management is easily accessed and easy to review. Communication with Samsara is always fast and effortless. Cons I do not have any cons to report when it comes to Samsara. The software has been great for my drivers and fleet management team. Which is a great thing. I am highly recommending that all new professionals participate in the Samsara Platform training with in the Transportation industry. Pros The ease of usage while learning the platform overall. The training video and course work is self explanatory. Customer support when something goes wrong is on top of the issues an resolve them in a timely fashion for continued use of all platforms within Samsara. Cameras and video quality is exceptional and precise. The tracking system within Samsara has help in locating assets that would have otherwise been lost. Cons Some of the reports That I use could be better when looking for a specific driver or asset. Sometimes comes up with driver or asset not found. Specifically, Samsara has significantly improved driver safety, data analysis, and overall operational efficiency. Our drivers consistently follow their scheduled routes, conduct mandatory pre-route and post-route vehicle inspections, and submit digital vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs). Furthermore, the platform allows us to track driver activity and safety in real time. Pros The GPS tracking and corresponding routing software is essential to our fleet management operations. This technology is critical for driver safety and efficiency. It allows us to know the real-time location of our drivers, facilitate necessary rerouting, and provide immediate location data in emergency situations. Cons I have noticed inconsistencies with the real-time alerts. Recently, one of my drivers was involved in a car accident, but I did not receive an accident alert. Instead, the only notification I received was a harsh brake alert. This suggests the accident alert functionality may not be working reliably. Second, for the route planning feature, it would be highly beneficial if we could be more precise when choosing the departure times for our drivers and other related schedule details. December 8, 2025 5.0 My overall experience has been great. I like what I see and as I stated earlier, Samsara will make my company safer. I fully believe that our CSA score will improve because of this system. Drivers are held accountable for their actions, and in most cases, there is no disputing it. Pros My company just got started with Samsara. In the short time that I have had Samsara, I'm extremely happy. We have the front facing camera in our setup. I love the safety notifications that I receive when a driver gets outside of the parameters that are set up. It holds the drivers accountable and there is no arguing with video evidence. We have had a few bugs and issues to work through, but the customer support has been really good. The conversations with customer support has been pleasant and our issues are resolved in a very timely manner. The ease of use for the drivers has been better than I expected. The drivers have been frustrated, but the reason for that is that this system holds them accountable and there is no disputing it. Samsara will make my company better! Cons Quite honestly, at this time I don't have any "cons" for the system. Like any new system, there is a learning curve. I'm a warehouse manager who also drives as needed so I get a lot of hands on usage that some managers might not get. I know exactly what the drivers are usually talking about and can work through stress points rather quickly because of that. I'm not involved with the billing and invoicing, so I can't speak to that piece, but as a location manager, I couldn't be happier with the visibility that I get for my drivers. I like being able to see the form/manner screen and quickly able to see when there is a violation. Cons Sometimes one screen (maybe camera screen) will say the driver is ON DUTY and another screen (hour of service report) will say the driver is DRIVING so it's not 100% uniform across the platform. And I dont like that the driver cant be given a warning when they are following too close or when they are speeding BEFORE they get hit with the infraction. It should be more friendly in that aspect. I dont like that the driver is able to SKIP thru certifying previous days logs. This should not be something that can be skipped since it is required. I know it's a cable thing for the Hino trucks, but considering a majority of our trucks are Hino's, it's a little frustrating.
